That's not what I got from reading about it... What I got was that the unforgivable sin is to attribute the working of the Spirit to be the works of satan.

Why John the Baptist is least

Jesus was speaking of John in the temporal world, that of all men born, he was the greatest, because he prepared the way for the Greatest. He was not saying John would be least in the Kingdom.

Nope. I didn't say any of that. If a man must endure to the end to be saved, you best believe it will be God causing him to endure - NOT himself.

And you see this all the time in people who are so consumed with not sinning. They will talk about others not attending church on sunday or watching a movie they think is ungodly or turning their nose up at someone who is overweight as being gluttonous or that a man smokes cigarettes. And...

Yes, even Jesus said: you are careful to tithe every speck of cumin and dill but you ignore the weightier matters like mercy.

I know. :) It's crazy how twisted up we can get. The way we overcome the world, our flesh and the devil is through faith. (Faith just means trusting Him). We begin to leave this and think we overcome by working hard to overcome. That just leads to failure. I think...it sounds too simple or...

This cannot be so...because some saints will be beheaded. They did not endure (remain alive physically) until they end. They endured in faith though.

It's a race of trust. When we stumble (stop trusting), we get up and begin to race again. The moment we begin to think we are in a race of not sinning, instead of a race of learning to trust Him more and more, we stumble.

I think we think that the goal is to not sin. The goal is to abide (trust) so that we will not sin. The race we are running is a race of trust(faith). It is not a race of not sinning.

I do not believe it can be argued that we will continue to sin even if we abide. The verse is this: if we abide (continue to trust) we do not sin. We have to be careful not to change that to: if we abide we still sin. Because that is a direct contradiction of what God has said. Here is where an...

Murder is anger in your heart. I have had anger in my heart since the time I received the Holy Spirit.

Man does not have any power over sin. But with God, all things are possible. If we abide(remain in trust/faith), we do not sin. So it is by abiding that we overcome.

Yes, there is a verse saying those who remain faithful to the end will be saved. Be careful that you do not paint yourself into a corner, because God saves men through faith. Don't assume that to trust Him to the end means a man never sins or stumbles. Being faithful means continuing to trust...

    The cultic origins of Annihilationism

I do somehow think satan seems to be an eternal being apart from having the Holy Spirit. I don't know how that is possible for him, but it appears to be. And it also appears as if satan himself indwells the beast and false prophet. And they are the ones said to be tormented forever. But I think...

    The cultic origins of Annihilationism

Well, yes, I was sharing my thoughts when a poster said: "obliterating everyone equally," and said I wasn't sure of that. I brought up the "more tolerable for" verse and said how it has always intrigued me. The unholy trinity is who God says will be forever tormented. Others are said to "have...

    Predestination or free will?

I've never heard anyone put it this way...I think I agree... You look at your freewill as something that kept you from God. I've seen other men look at their freewill as something good.

    Are Roman Catholics Christians

When I share my thoughts, it's not to say you are doing something wrong. It's just thoughts that occur to me. :) I'm always having a conversation. I'm never trying to argue. Just exchange and share thoughts.

Oh, I didn't think you were picking on the RCC! :) That's where you were when you met God. Of course they would be on your heart!
