Are women allowed to Preach?

Deborah was not only a woman capable, she was also made a judge in Israel......

Preaching is giving glory to God.........it is a part of prophesy . The confession of Jesus Christ is the Spirit of Prophesy........

All are conected in the Holy Spirit, that is, Jesus dwelling in us.

This is so simply stated in scripture, and the reason why it's this way, that I can't even believe this is even an issue.

Why are some women so intent on changing the words of the Bible to mean what they want it to mean? I think Peter gives us a glimpse of that reason in 1 Peter 3...fear of submission. By nature I think it's a particular problem for women to submit easily to a man.

"... being submissive to their own husbands; 6just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, and you have become her children if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear."-1 Peter 3:5-6

It's just something that women in particular have a hard time dealing with. We all cringe at having to submit to authority, but it seems women have a harder time dealing with it than us men. Being afraid to submit is a better reason than being too proud to submit.
 
I agree fully with you. I think it is for woman difficult, because the world " teaches" opposit. Because man often dont make it easy for them ( my own expieriences) and often men missuesing their authority. Would we all acting like ephesians 5 it would for all be easier.

There are religions of this age that teach women will be slaves now and in their version of the hereafter.

Jesus Christ does not teaach this, neither should His faithful.

Jehovah used Deborah to rebuke Israel. God used a woman because no man would lead. Barak would not go unless Deborah went with him.

I guess in that respect many churches today are like Israel in the time of Deborah. Evil and ready to be delivered into the hands of kings of other religions.

Barak refused to go into battle without Deborah accomanying him. It turned out the wife oftook all of Barak's glory for winning the battle in having killed the head of the enmy by driving a tent peg through his temple as he slept.

You may have known this at one time.......
Jdg 5:25 He asked water, and she gave him milk; She brought him butter in a lordly dish.
Jdg 5:26 She put her hand to the tent-pin, And her right hand to the workmen's hammer; And with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote through his head; Yea, she pierced and struck through his temples.

It depends what you classify as "authority" Ralphy. My husband in my home? OK. The Pastor of my Church? Ok. My Boss at work? Ok.

Any loony fruitcake who calls himself a Christian and expects me to accept some un-biblical, whacked-out theory of his just because he is a male. No way. I'm challenging those kinds of things. We can't just accept any Tom, Dick & Harry with a male appendage as a person in "authority"

Have all fixed their eyes well on the text in Paul's writing to Timothy on this subject. He says "I suffer that no woman teach.."

He does not say or teach it is God's will, but is explicit in stating it is his personal preference........

It does not strike you as odd that Barak wanted Deborah to go with him? Men do not take their women with them to battle.

Sisera was given double dishonor to lose the battle and then be killed by a woman while he slept.

Not at all. In the story Barak seemed to be denying the Word of God, and inorder to feel "safe" he wanted Deborah to accompany him to give him more valor and confidence that she was certain of the outcome. She was.

Thankfully, no one is pushing that kind of an argument on either side of the fence. I think that's pretty well understood.

The man in traffic ahead of you, or behind you in the grocery checkout line does not have God ordained authority over you.....unless he's your husband or your pastor. And even then it's only in a way that is fitting in the Lord.
