I am not talking about “saving” yourself, just our humble responsibility as God requires.

I did not say that you said Christians have no responsibility.

It is the tone of your comments and the lack of knowledge to do anything else that you expressed that makes me think you have been deceived and not taught real truth. There is much more false teaching out there than truth, and many people are deceived because of that, and not just new Christians. Your comment, “I do not understand this. I only understand love” is another giveaway. Real love is NOT what the world considers it. Real love teaches, strives to learn, and has an attitude of humility, which is very short supply these days, even in cc.

One more thing you will find beneficial, is to not jump to conclusions that others are condemning or finding fault with you, and not putting words in their mouth they did not say, or accuse your elders of sin the way you did in the above post to me. IF you think you have been wronged, there is a scriptural way to go about handling it, according to Matthew 18.

But I was talking about people saving themselves.
You took it further without knowing me, based on assumptions.
This is seen in your attempt to justify it now, by highlighting what you think will correct it, without apologizing for both those sins.

These are my words, and your choice of what to take and use to say perhaps to show yourself a teacher. You may one, but this is not the way. Please notice my subject:

If the New Covenant is not what The Lord has done for me, that I could never do for myself, I do not know what it is. I am helpless to save myself. I only know to be grateful to Jesus Christ. This is all I can do.

If I am grateful to Jesus Christ knowing I can not save myself, I have love.
I begin with love for Him.
Why did you choose to see something that was not there?

These are my words, and your choice of what to take and use to say perhaps to show yourself a teacher. You may one, but this is not the way. Please notice my subject, and the focus of my questions

"I can not obey all of God's commandments all the time even though I want to. Are you saying that you can and do? Are you a Covenant Breaker? I do not understand this. I only understand love."

My question to you followed a confession from me, that even though I desire to obey God all the time, I do not.
My question to you was the focus of that portion:

Are you saying that you can and do? Are you a Covenant Breaker? I do not understand this.

So, are you saying that you do obey all the commandments all of the time, that you never fall short or sin?
Which makes you, according to you, a Covenant Breaker.
It would be helpful if you answered the question I asked instead of starting a new discussion about my being deceived, believing false doctrine and that false claim that I said or suggested a Christian has no responsibility.

What I do not understand, is when people claim they do not break God's Laws.
Followed by the statement that seems to bring you such displeasure, I do not understand this (people who claim they keep the whole Law as required), I only understand love. Meaning I only understand God through His Love and Grace to do for us what not one of us could do for ourselves - SAVE OURSELVES.

These are your words, in response to my comments about salvation, and even while not knowing me yet at all:

It appears from your posts that somewhere along the line you have been taught that salvation is a one-time thing and that a Christian has no responsibility after that initial acceptance of God's gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus. That is not the truth. God DOES require things of us as people who claim to be His. My advice is that you start searching the scriptures for yourself as the Bereans did in the book of Acts. Don't just accept what others tell you as gospel truth.

You did say:
I did not say that you said Christians have no responsibility.

and have made no attempt to correct it, but instead have chosen to deny it.
Since the argument appears to be that our responsibility is to obey the Law, I wondered why you are breaking the law by first bearing false witness based on presumption, then lying about having done it. Do you not know the Law?

I would simply appreciate it if you speak the truth in love, including when it comes to yourself.

You decided based on a a few posts, and a "tone" you perceive", which is clearly colored by your personal handling of the scriptures and your apparent belief you are a teacher. Either way, you made a claim that was not true, then did not correct it, and are now adding to it.

These are your words:

It is the tone of your comments and the lack of knowledge to do anything else that you expressed that makes me think you have been deceived and not taught real truth.

To do anything, to add to my salvation?
I haven't begun to speak of obedience or the new life or good works or teaching or study or any of that.

So, because you ignored that I was actually addressing salvation, you thought you heard a tone that proves to you, or makes you think, which you apparently could not be in error by doing, that I have been deceived and not taught real truth.

These are your words:

There is much more false teaching out there than truth, and many people are deceived because of that, and not just new Christians. Your comment, “I do not understand this. I only understand love” is another giveaway.

A giveaway? These are my words. Please take notice of what I am addressing:

"I can not obey all of God's commandments all the time even though I want to.
Are you saying that you can and do? Are you a Covenant Breaker? I do not understand this.

The this i do not understand is people who make the AntiBiblical claim that they are either saved by the law or made righteous by the law. Yet you did not answer.

So I will ask again, since it is my words you have taken and made to say something they do not.

"I can not obey all of God's commandments all the time even though I want to.
Are you saying that you can and do? Are you a Covenant Breaker?

These are your words:

Real love is NOT what the world considers it. Real love teaches, strives to learn, and has an attitude of humility, which is very short supply these days, even in cc.

I will leave you to examine yourself in your own statement.
And should I remain here, perhaps I will have something to teach. Perhaps you might judge if I am learned. And perhaps an examination of Humility could be discussed. This is an assumption, based on the tone of your writing, that you are among the ones who really love and teach and learn and is humble. That remains to be seen.

These are your words:

One more thing you will find beneficial, is to not jump to conclusions that others are condemning or finding fault with you, and not putting words in their mouth they did not say,

But I have shown that is what you have done.

or accuse your elders of sin the way you did in the above post to me. IF you think you have been wronged, there is a scriptural way to go about handling it, according to Matthew 18.

When you do it, it is alright? It appears from your posts that somewhere along the line you have been taught that salvation is a one-time thing and that a Christian has no responsibility after that initial acceptance of God's gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus. That is not the truth. God DOES require things of us as people who claim to be His. My advice is that you start searching the scriptures for yourself as the Bereans did in the book of Acts. I have read so many open posts here with people accusing each other (yourself included) of "Breaking Covenant", breaking the commandments, which is sin, I would ask you to take your own counsel.

Thank You.

Ya right LOL

Arguing among the Christian ranks are not of God in any way. We denounce the Pharisees and we do the same as they did, asking leading questions for self justification.

So, who is not sincere? If it is a personal discussion or agreement between a few posters here, is it not better to be open in your discussion?

Who is asking leading questions? Questions I ask are asked in the hope of an answer.
One question: do you think you could ever be in error?
Another question: If someone disagrees with you, is it arguing and "not of God in any way"?

Final question: do you ever break any of the commandments?

Four days.
I do not know who you are.
Yes, I break the commandments.

Let's be real. Why so defensive?

Defensive about what? Is it good to take the words of others out of context or to pass over the meaning of them?
Is that what you mean?
Did you find anything in my posts where I said the Christian has no responsibility? There is much focus on the Law, so do we know what the Law says?

On a more serious note. I spoke of experiences both Karraster and I have had before you came into our lives.
Are you offended by Karrasters conversation with me?
We all error in our actions, but some error in judgement because of not wanting to learn, and that's the difference.
Study to show yourself. Arguing is not scriptural.
Yes I break the commandments with my carnal attitude sometimes, and that causes me great chagrin.

Now it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that your questions are leading because we all know that answers, including you. And we all know why you have asked them.

If she was to ask you the same question whether you break any of the commandments, what would you answer and what do you do when you break any of the commandments? It shouldn't be difficult for you or 'just-me to answer, especially if you believe in keeping the commandments. I would like to hear your answer, you up for it?

Four days.
I do not know who you are.
Yes, I break the commandments.

Does breaking the ten words of God cause you to want to repent, or do you not know what those commandments are? I'll give you some of the instructions from the law. Tell me what you think.

Leviticus 19:11-18 (KJV)
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

Deuteronomy 6:1-9 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
[SUP]2 [/SUP]That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

I think Jesus said these are important. We know how to love via the instructions given. What do ya think of these laws?

No I am not offended by your conversation with anyone.
I would prefer to have discussions I am in involved in with one person at a time and not have many speak to me about one discussion I am having with one person. But I can only request it.

Your words here;

Now it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that your questions are leading because we all know that answers, including you. And we all know why you have asked them.

Well here I would sincerely ask you to explain what you are referring to. My questions about whether you Break Covenant, which mean sin, are sincere, any other questions I asked are asked in the hope of being answered honestly. Is that sinful?

Concerning the last part, And we all know why you have asked them.

What do you mean by that?

If she was to ask you the same question whether you break any of the commandments, what would you answer and what do you do when you break any of the commandments? It shouldn't be difficult for you or 'just-me to answer, especially if you believe in keeping the commandments. I would like to hear your answer, you up for it?

Questions that are asked to learn with a sincere heart are easy to detect. Usually questions that are asked like "do you sin?" are really unwarranted. Do Christians really think that there are other Christians that think they are perfect just because we endorse certain scriptures? I gave straight answers in post # 210

Why are you so condescending?
Of course I know the Commandments. And yes I repent and confess my sins.
Would it be considered insincere and leading for me to ask you if you break the Law and desire to repent?
I know about Love from the Gospel. I will not insult you by posting it, asking if you are familiar with it.

So you are, without question saying I am insincere in my questions.
This seems to be an epidemic here. There appear to be several people responding to the same questions, questions not put to them, answering things not addressed to them This is very confusing. In the future I will try to pay closer attention to whom I am conversing. My intention was try to express the basis of my desire for purity and obedience. Love.
And where that love came from, and who that love the Holy Spirit especially leans the heart toward. But this seems to have degenerated into something I do not understand or deal with well. If you want to teach me, and you appear to believe this is your primary calling above the simple call to love, this is not the way.
Presumptions about motives and quoting out of context. Thank you anyway. I will find another place to post.

You have indicated that you have a problem with the Old covenant, and said that it doesn't apply in your life. My question is why? I post scripture and you assume that I am attacking you. I have never intended to do so. If the scriptures I post are offensive, then you have to go to the one who wrote them and have a conversation with God. Condescending? I just wanted to know what you thought of these laws of love written in the Old Testament Law. That's all. I asked because you indicate strongly that you don't need the instructions given in the scriptures that I posts about love.

[SUP]10 [/SUP]Finally, grow powerful in union with the Lord, in union with his mighty strength! [SUP]11 [/SUP]Use all the armor and weaponry that God provides, so that you will be able to stand against the deceptive tactics of the Adversary. [SUP]12 [/SUP]For we are not struggling against human beings, but against the rulers, authorities and cosmic powers governing this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm. [SUP]13 [/SUP]So take up every piece of war equipment God provides; so that when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist; and when the battle is won, you will still be standing. [SUP]14 [/SUP]Therefore, stand! Have the belt of truth buckled around your waist,[SUP][b][/SUP] put on righteousness for a breastplate,[SUP][c][/SUP] [SUP]15 [/SUP]and wear on your feet the readiness that comes from the Good News of shalom.[SUP][d][/SUP] [SUP]16 [/SUP]Always carry the shield of trust, with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the Evil One. [SUP]17 [/SUP]And take the helmet of deliverance;[SUP][e][/SUP] along with the sword given by the Spirit, that is, the Word of God; [SUP]18 [/SUP]as you pray at all times, with all kinds of prayers and requests, in the Spirit, vigilantly and persistently, for all God’s people.
