Actually yes they have thought they heard a calling, but they didn't. If they read scripture they'd realize it is not their place to teach over men. God has shown us how he does things.

This is what you are doing.

"I don't like this verse...hmmmm how can I find away around this"
"Ohhh i know! I'll just say this verse over here stating his ways are higher than ours, then I'll say what I think his ways are! and then whenever someone says something that disagrees with me, I can call them God, even though I'm acting like I know what God's way's are"

We are saying what GOD HAS ALREADY SAID. You are putting words in his mouth.
Just stop, tuck, you sound ridiculous.

I'll go back to what was said originally. "You are playing God with people's lives. Don't" Only God plays God because only God IS God :)

You act like God's ways that are talked about in the verses you quote are hidden from us. They are in the bible. Start reading the bible, then come and talk to me. Clearly you ignore scripture. Until then, continue spreading ignorant comments.

Work on your debating skills too, you have no evidence for your claim and have presented none. Only your own opinions.

No, tuck. I have repeatedly told you that you do not know God's ways nor thoughts, saying women are not called by God to the pulpit is your way of playing God as I just told you in the other thread. You think you do, bro, but, you don't.
Just drop it. It's going in your one ear and coming out phil's other, LOL, I say that in love, it's OK, God USES women to pastor, let's just AGREE on that?

But, if not agree on either? No problem :) The Lord gives understanding in 'His due time' just as the scriptures say is how it works with His wisdom and knowledge given us . :)

We do know God's ways though! He tells us his ways in the bible.
We do know God's thoughts (not all but many). They are told in the bible!

No we do not agree because the bible does not agree with it.

That's right, God's thoughts are in the bible. And, if He thinks He wants to use a woman pastor with His thoughts then accept it, they are being used by Him . It's not as you say 'they are thinking they are being used.' NO! They ARE being used, tuck :)

End of story. Don't know why we continue this conversation :)

[h=3]1 Timothy 2:12[/h]English Standard Version (ESV)

12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.

Those are god's thoughts on this subject. So then why are you saying he thinks differently WHEN HE SAYS HOW HE THINKS.
What evidence do you have that I am wrong, and that they are being used? You've made a claim, now prove it.

Tuck, those are Paul's thoughts . Sure, they are Holy Spirit inspired words but, those are Paul's words, NOT Jesus' red-letter words, not God's, not God prophesying, they are Paul, who is speaking to the church of Ephesus about how to go about doing things.

What is there to prove? I said , "God's thoughts are in the bible."

Why do you misconstrue /twist what I say? :)

So, you believe that a woman pastor is not called, is not used, and they are just 'thinking they are being used'? Prove that? If you want something prove, prove your own statement. I told you, they are being used by God. Prove they are not. Don't you start to be saying a double-standard way of thinking, or, are you changing your mind. You already said that God would use a woman if she was 'available,' that's a word you used, not me. I agree, but, yeah, you said it.

There is NO ARGUMENT. A woman CAN be called by God to pastor over men. Just CAN. Those who vote 'no,' are reading God's mind, they are looking at the bible and they are seeing that it says "A woman is never to become a pastor," they are seeing those words somewhere in Scripture, from God, not from Paul, but from God. And, guess what? Those words are just not there :)

I stated a women will be called if they are teaching over other women, not men.

The whole Bible is God's thoughts. God agrees with everything in the bible (taken in context). Therefore these are God's thoughts, for Paul's words were inspired. These teachings are truth and are God's ways of doing so. If not they would not be in the bible which is 100% truth.

My proof is in the verse. It says women are not to teach men. The bible is 100% truth, therefore this verse is truth. It is inspired by God, so God agrees with this. This is how God feels, because it is in the bible.

Your turn. Wheres your proof?

I was asking you to prove that the women pastors today are being used like you claim. Prove it. Show me once ounce of proof.

Also the bible is the WORD OF GOD. So they are God's words, spoken through Paul.

Tuck, tuck, tuck, it's impossible to keep saying the same things over to you ,for you do not hear the Truth . The Lord leads. He will teach you all truth, too, as you worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Both. LIsten to Him, His Holy Spirit working on your heart, as you read His Word, as you go about your days, as you go about your life :) "...you follow Me." John 21:22 Don't follow anyone else, if God wills that a woman becomes a pastor over men, "YOU follow Me." :)

Nice avoiding of giving proof. Still waiting for that. You've avoided giving it twice now.

Also God doesn't will that a woman becomes a pastor over man. WHy? He says he doesn't permit it in his word. Why would he will something he does not permit.

No proof otherthan what I've already stateed a zillion times. And, faith in Him, that's going to be your proof, the proof that the women telling she was CALLED to be a pastor is telling the Truth, that God called her to do it, tuck :)

God wills/calls women, or, allows women to pastor, say it however you want, bottom line: God uses women to pastor churches and THERE WILL BE 'fruit.' Don't know why a man is not pastor there, but, he's not, and, God's calling a woman, allowing a woman, yeah, it is God's will. It becomes God's will. Bottom line: God WILL call a woman to pastor over men when no man is available, God's will goes on despite man's thinking different . :)

. God calls women and uses them in the role of preacher and not just to women, to men, too. How many times do I have to list Isaiah 55 and 1 Cor. 2 as PROOF that God does things this way. Look out there, women are pastor, God is using them, don't be naive, don't be ignorant, I will repeat the same things all night long if you want and tomorrow night......... Paul wrote inspired words of God, Paul said that a woman is not to speak over a man, teach over a man, she is to be silent when a man is speaking, and, Paul says a bishop is a 'husband of one wife,' but, neither of those verses PROVE, tuck, that God can't call a women to become a pastor still. He can and He does. Accept it, get over it, you and phil suffer from teh same notgetoverit, syndrome :)

1. Isaiah 55 and 1 cor. 2 don't prove that he calls women. They prove that his ways are higher than ours, and his thoughts different than ours, it doesn't say they support you or I. His thoughts are in the bible. You just stated a ton of PROOF of what God does and wants. Those bits you just quoted were all PROOF of how God wants it.

Also thats the third time you've not given any proof of your side. Your two verses don't prove either of us is right, only that God is right, which we agreee on :) Please prove that What you are saying is right, because you haven't done that yet and seem to refuse to do so.

One reason women were to remain silent in the church in the 1st century was due to paganism and how they used women. They held women higher, and feminism was and still is a huge part of paganism.
When did this change in the Christian church? Did God's commands change what he taught the early church or did Christians allow feminism to infiltrate it?

Tuck, listen, the proof is in God Himself, in His ways being different than our ways and His thoughts different than our thoughts. THAT is the proof. You don't have to accept it. Hey! A lot of people don't accept a lot of things that I think false, like Christians who don't get God is Jesus and God is the Holy Spirit, and, that we don't be saved once and always saved. We are needing to HAVE faith, once saved, in His grace that was given us on the cross by way of His son having died on the cross.

But, yeah, bro, there are a TON of things in Scripture that believers differ on and I'm sooo sorry that this thing of women being able to be called by God to TEACH SUNDAY SCHOOOL OVER MEN AND PASTOR MEN IN A CHURCH has to hurt you so much that you tirade , like phil, on this all. don't see why, just accept it, just be supportive of women you run into who are teaching men in bible studies and, especially, in churches, don't scoff at them, don't stick your nose up, just let the Lord be the JUDGE of them :)

Exactly, obey Him. I don't know what 'obeying Him' is for you. It's doing whatever He calls YOU to do. That's not up to me or phil or tuck or BELIEVING or mustapha, itsnotuptome or, anyone else, it's up to Him :)

Whatever God calls me to do, if it is contrary to scripture I have to assume that I heard wrong.

Great. The Lord will teach you ALL Truth, through His Holy Spirit in you. So, go about then, like phil, like tuck, like BELIEVING, like itsnotuptome. ok mustaphadrinking? But, to go about like them means that you will be having to show not love to women you see who are teaching in a Sunday School or who are pastoring over men in a church. That's up to you, Scripture states, 'of faith, hope, and, love, the greatest is love.'

Does it show love when you berate women on c.c. who are already pastors, who are already teaching in Sunday School TO MEN? Does it?

What is God speaking to your heart about this? That is key. "...you follow Me." John 21:22 .

As for me, I will err, IF I err on the side of believing that God's ways are higher than my ways and His thoughts are different than my thoughts and that God is, indeed, having called and IS using a woman to teach in a church's Sunday School or IS using a woman to pastor a church IF that is the reality of the situation and that this next part IS most important to grasp, too, that she is, just as John 15 states, she IS pastoring so that there is 'fruit' being produced by her faith in following God and doing His will in pastoring that church . :)
