Again with a parallel that doesn't match exactly. That still does not explain the morality of the issue.

There is no redemption unless a person repents of their sins. But if God told someone to marry an unrepentant unbeliever that kind of destroys that message.
I know Gomer wed Hosea, and they had children, but I cannot find where she was unrepentant.
As long as we are attempting to understand, it would seem if a woman who was a whore married a prophet of Yahweh, she would become his flesh, and she would obey her husband even in his faith. This is only my assessment of what I attempt to understand, and it is not contention. God bless you always.

The very fact that you are shocked is why- God got across His point. You see, everything done spiritually in the new testament had to be done physically in the old testament. The church is the bride of Christ (God). And what do we do as His bride? We cheat on Him, we fail Him time and again. Yet He still "stays married" to us. Also in the old testament they sacrificed a lamb. Imagine looking into the eyes of a sweet little innocent lamb, pure without spot or blemish. and slaying it and setting it on fire. We need to understand how Christ is the Lamb of God sacrificed for all. Jesus often taught in parables- comparing physical things to spiritual meanings. We needed to understand how awful we are to God (our husband so-to-speak) and therefore God had to give us a physical example of the spiritual meaning.

Scripture is in truth for truth is spiritually discerned from Yeweh to his Children.

If it were the day of Abraham and Abraham told you that God told him to kill his Son. How would you react? God is Faithful and God came through and stopped Abram did God not.

No. The New Testament says that we are not to have fellowship with unbelievers.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."
It's why He led the Israelites out of slavery to Egypt. God wanted them to be separate and a holy people. God does not change in his moral character and or when it comes to moral laws.

It appears to me you might be mixing Spirit of God and flesh. using your Moral compass of flesh? Is there a view by flesh and a view in Spirit of God

To heal them and to get them to repent of their sins and to accept Him as their Savior. This is not a one time event either. We do not say, God I am sorry, and then continue on with our life as if nothing ever happened either. There has to be a change in a person's life if they are saved. For God (Christ) is the source of salvation. The fruits of the Spirit is the proof in the pudding that God lives within a person and that they have salvation. No God. No fruit from God (or changed life). No salvation.
Please read the "Condemnation" in John 3:19-21. For men did not receive the Light because they loved the darkness of their own evil deeds. You can't be saved if you are still walking in darkness. It's not possible. 1 John 1:5-9 refutes such thinking.
That is why God could not tell Hosea to marry an unbeliever who was still in the practice of sinning against God (thru prostitution). For if you had a vision from God telling you to marry a prostitute (that was still desiring to be a prostitute), would you do it? Would you use Hosea to justify your position?
My guess is that you believe in "Once Saved Always Saved." Which is why most folks do not really have a problem with this passage in Hosea. For there is no morality in OSAS. It is a doctrine of devils. A doctrine of turning the grace of our God into a license for immorality (Jude 1:4 NIV).
In fact, the concept of 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (Which tells us to not have fellowship with unbelievers) is actually taken from the Old Testament. Here is a compilation of verses (as a whole) that expresses that thought:
- 'I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the LORD; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart. (Jeremiah 24:7)
- "But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days," declares the LORD, "I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. (Jeremiah 31:33)

For 2 Corinthians 6:16 also makes a reference to the Old Testament prophecies that God will put His laws into the hearts of believers and "I will be their God, and they will be My people." (c.f. Jeremiah 24:7).
