Do woman still want fairy tale weddings?

Hey AA, sorry to hear that... if my memory serves me from some previous posts you made maybe a year or so ago, is this recent?

That includes airfare to Las Vegas from Florida, Hotel for 5 days, my dress, his suit, flowers, marriage license, our rings were the most costly thing and the hotel gave us a free Thanksgiving dinner as it was never on our hotel bill for the $38.00 per person for the Thanksgiving meal we had. I believe it was complimentary since we got married in their hotel.

We gave the Pastor a thank you card with $100.00 in it for marrying us as he didn't charge anything and I felt we should give him something since we took him away from his family for a couple of hours on Thanksgiving day.

This was Tourist's fairy tale wedding almost - he wanted an Elvis wedding....me not so much.

If we ever renew our vows Elvis will be officiating at the Little Wedding Chapel.

I forgot to mention my pastor married us. We got married at the fellowship I’d been with since I was 6. No charge. :o

The thing is the wedding is mostly for the woman. I understand about the nerd thing for you, same for me as I wanted Elvis. I did get married in Las Vegas though as that was part of my plan.

Thank you, JosephsDreams. Actually, I've been widowed since 2005. Work, loss of contract with previous job, family illness, selling my house, relocating, etc. pretty much has kept me busy since then. You know... LIFE. :p lol

You can never go wrong with Elvis lol Honestly I have a feeling that we would both want the wedding to have each of our tastes but I am also more than willing to compromise, besides I doubt we will have much money to do much with anyways lol
 
It seems like the "fairy tale" aspect would be more emotional than material. I'm not really sure what sort of wedding I would like. But I think half of the fun (aside from the actually getting married part) would be in planning it with the person you are getting married to.

I’m Glad Blainy gives me some input every so often because otherwise I’d go totally weird directions on a whim knowing me XD

When my wife and I got married I just said I'm wearing a kilt (being Scottish) add for the rest I don't mind.
My father in law being English turned up dressed as the mad hatter.

As we were signing the register Elvis was playing (once again my request) love me tender, and I love you so.

Having just read the above it looks like I got the fairytale wedding.
