1. Well introducing Mary into this thread -- no matter who did it -- was totally inappropriate.
2. Saying anything derogatory about Mary was also totally inappropriate and unacceptable.
3. Trying to promote the veneration and worship of Mary is also totally inappropriate and unscriptural.
4. You could have easily told the offender to keep all discussion of Mary out of this thread, and not pursued that topic.

This is horrible for two reasons I can think of immediately.
There are probably more.
1. Jesus said a house divided against itself cannot stand. When did he say this? When he was exorcising demons from persons and being accused that He was doing so by the power of Satan.
So when people pray to Mary, do you think they have God on their mind or Satan?
2. This is the mother of Jesus. What if someone called your mother Satan?
Ask forgiveness of her SON and have some respect!

1. Rome's image of Mary is not Mary. It's just an image promoted as being Mary. God doesn't like idols. His house is not divided, He keeps it together.
Only one praying could answer that, however, when someone prays Hail Mary I'm sure they know they aren't praying to God.
2. No it's not the mother of Jesus, it's an idol. Once again, God doesn't like idols.
So this is a photo of Mary the handmaid of the LORD you say? nope it's just an idol.
What if someone called my mother satan? Well my mom is dead but when she was alive she would probably say that she had been called worse.
Your turn, what if someone called your mom satan and you a son of the devil?

Why would you be offended Fran? These things are true...according to scriptures in the OT, and the truth revealed about Jesus in the NT.
We owe no allegiance to any church. Only to God, His Son, and His Holy Spirit. Mary was the vessel chosen and she was blessed to be chosen to do this. An honor. But, other than this...not a part of our salvation.
If anyone has been born from above, and filled with Holy Spirit...I extend my hand of kinship for we are brothers and sisters through Sonship.

Except the offense was too great. It's in post no. 90.
When the time comes, I will also defend YOU when someone speaks against what you believe in such a manner as that poster did.
We are ONE TEAM here. We should respect each other more - even when we don't agree.

Yes it is wrong to make images of Jesus as well as Mary. Especially of Jesus because of what scripture has to say about Him. Isaiah 53 describes Jesus and no artist has captured anything close to His real image even His real earthly image.
You want Mary to look like you so you can relate to her.
Overall your tone reveals you have way too much hostility in your posts to be good for you. You are becoming even more judgmental than those you criticize for being judgmental.

For what purpose did God teach His people to only eat the clean and why did God make it plain?
Was it just a law to test their obedience, was it symbolic, or was it that the animals were clean and unclean.
Human Science or studies back up Gods laws. Pigs store 7 times more uric acid (urine) in their muscle than humans. Thats probly why it tastes so good.
Sure there are symbolic spiritual lessons but that doesn't change the animals physical make up. God gave us a guide to healthy living and i believe time has not changed those pronciples.
Read the verses in context. The people were often fanatical about the laws and made them a burden. There were lots of conservative Jews around.
If i obey the laws given by God and count it a blessing knowing I'm healthier for it, it isn't a burden to obey but a delight.
