The core question Holiness has not really been answered.

If I am washed, infilled by the Holy Spirit, I am holy. The problem with this language is it means special washed clothing, being careful of contamination or being unclean. I do not go there but it does cross my mind, I can take the Lords presence for granted, rather than show real respect. So much of my life is solitary, that that aspect does not dominate.

It has also become clear to me is we often do not appreciate properly what the Lord has done in each of us.
People have been a real blessing to me, and they do need to know. When having young kids I know what a real difference this makes to others. The Lord does it to us, but how often do we do it to those we come across, and it is taken as being real and not something fake, or put on. It shows has cynical our culture has become, that real honest appreciation is so little done and shared. I must remember to do this more.

Wow. Interesting guy. Very true. Those statistics are hard to take in. 90% will not be in church at age 65.

Now put this along side, all who accept Jesus are sealed. Big difference there. Jesus was never into a compromised gospel or popularity stakes.

And the will of God is this:

God did not divorce Israel, He will restore her, and she will be saved.

You want to save yourself Good luck.

Actually yes it has.

I am holy Because God made me holy. Not because I made myself holy.

But you want to take credit for the work of God. I doubt God will be very happy for that.

Yet you teach a compromised gospel, and popularity one (more religions teach salvation is based on human works and how good they are..

And your gospel is compromised, because it is based on human works, and not Gods work.

It lasts as long as your faith does. Real faith, that is, that abstains from sin and works righteousness. Salvation apart from doing the will of GOD is a myth.

Did you even read the OP? He said that we obey shows we are eternally secure. Paul told those: keep up the good work! But the ones that don't obey aren't eternally secure before they repent and become obedient to the gospel.

I don't reject it but I do reject the teaching that if you have said the sinner's prayer and no matter if you go live a sinful lifestyle you will be eternally secure. Could be if you're so lucky that someone prays for you. My granddad was saved as a kid. All his life he rejected God and was an antitheist. Just before he died God said to me: You have the keys. Use them. Tomorrow will be too late. Ian McCormack got saved because his mother prayed and he prayed the sinner's prayer just before he died. But those are not automatically saved because they were saved as a kid. They had to repent again. If all those people are eternally secure I can take a nap and don't have to pray for them.
