Jeremiah 31:33-34 is often misunderstood as a promise of religion without law but what is actually promised is a sincere desire to determination on the part of Gods people to obey the law already given

You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. 2Cor3:3
The law God wants you to keep got transferred from an external law to an internal law written on tablets of human hearts.
Of course God doesn't want you to lie, steal, murder, commit adultery etc. But you in your born again heart instinctively do not want to do those things either. Your flesh does for that has not been born again, but in your heart you want to obey God. So how do you know which law God wants you to keep? Do you need to read all the old testament laws and figure out which are still applicable, or read a commentary of a scholar to get a better idea?
NO! You know which laws if you like God wants you to keep for you have heartfelt conviction you sin when you go against the law placed on your heart. Inner conviction tells you, not the literal letter. I like the term the legalistic law got removed, the heart of the law remains
So if you want to obey God in your heart, how is obedience to be achieved?
Won't get to that for now lol
