Then, from your line of thinking, God is no different from the parent who shoves his child down a flight of stairs just so he can comfort him. Or the boyfriend who sends a gang of thugs after his girlfriend so he can go rescue her.
I have read Job, and apparently all God is willing to say is "screw you, I'm right, you're wrong."
Christians have also promoted slavery long before it was abolished, preventing women from getting the right to vote and to be ministers, and teaching people that if they don't obey God they're going to burn in hell for all eternity. Just because something's traditional doesn't mean it's right.

Trials give birth to character, you're too young to understand that yet. Corrie Ten Boom lost her family in the Holocaust and went on to lead many to the Lord through her testimony. The Bible talks about coming forth as pure gold. The Bible also says to take up your cross and follow Him. Jesus was crucified, all His disciples, except one, became martyrs. We weren't promised a life of ease.

If thats what you got from reading Job proves you are a very immature Christian. But you're young yet. God,in the end, was saying to Job "my ways are beyond your understanding".
I saw a video the other day of a fawn struggling in a pit of thick mud. It couldn't get out no matter how hard it tried. It was dying.Someone saw the poor fawn and got an excavator and dug away the deep mud around it. Then, very gently, they took the fawn up out of the mud using the machine. The fawn was so exhausted from struggling it didn't fight,it just laid down and enjoyed the ride. Once on solid ground the fawn found its footing and was off to find its mother. Thats a picture of life.We don't know what God is doing, sometimes its painful,we don't like it be we don't see the future. We don't know what He has kept us from. We need to trust the One who knows. Its not easy, but we all have to learn it.
