Since you guys asked....
This was my plate of 6 slugs. You hold the shell with the pair of clamps (on the right side of the plate) and use the crude fork-like tool to take out the slug and eat it.
Edit: I had this when I visited Paris last February. It is a traditional French delicacy called "Escargot" (pronounced: es-cargo).
The 6th slug was actually a different dish. It was served as a sandwich between two tiny loaves of bread, coated with pesto sauce and butter. That is why you only see 5 shells on my plate.

*Sighs* What would we do without the French?Absolutely! You have to get to a French restaurant first.
I would do that again.
Were they chewy?
I haven't chewed Chewbacca, so I am not sure how chewy he is.
But, the escargots were chewy. I quickly savoured the flavour and swallowed them. For some reason my brain decided that, that was the right time to conjure up visuals of the slugs crawling in my backyard. Then my tongue started getting queasy, pretending that the slugs were crawling all over it. I even imagined that the slugs were going to start crawling in my stomach and come out through my nose when I slept.
Safe solution - taste the flavour and swallow it. Or, if you want to make sure that the slugs have absolutely no chance of coming to life again, chew them to pulp.

I have actually thought about that a lot; why would God create some of the weird and scary creatures that He did? What you said makes sense, but some animals are just super-ugly! Then I was watching a movie last night and one of the characters said something like "Allah loves wondrous variety". I like that.

Clowns - I did not understand why until last year when Poltergeist was remade - The poster had a creepy clown and my oldest said - "Hey mom did you see Poltergeist as a kid?" I said "Yes, It freaked me out, that's all I remember about it." Of course laughter started and then the response of "Well I just figured out why you do not like clowns!"
Im afraid of horror movies. I mean its just a movie but it is not good for us. The devil is happy when we watch him playing as himself. That's why I dont watch them anymore. The last one I saw was insidious. Totally scared me. I felt cheated, I paid just to watch a movie that almost gave me a heart attack.

I refuse to watch any scary movies! I think there is enough horrific things in the word to make me sad/scared, so why should I pay money to be scared and sad? I prefer to be Happy and find the happiness in all. I cannot in a scary movie!

I have an irrational fear of not being good at something. Anything I do, I have to be GOOD at it. I don't know why that's so important.

I think pretty much everyone has them... What are you irrationally afraid of?
I like snakes, spiders, lizards... it's all good for me. But I, for one, am irrationally afraid of Indian Gharials. Nature does not normally frighten me, and it's not like I would never, ever go near one...
BUT JUST LOOK AT IT:
(Perfectly harmless, of course. They eat fish and frogs; at their very worst they could puncture your arm and you could bleed to death, or perhaps drag you underwater and drown you, but overall quite harmless.)
...but what if all your fear are rational?
...or what if you're irrationally afraid of fear (being afraid)? ...or irrationally afraid of being rational?
...or what if you rationed your fears? "Okay, I'll be afraid of this, but only on Tuesdays..."
