Here is the gorilla in the room on the issue of the continuation of the physical supernatural manifestations of the Holy Spirit,
the lack of prima facie to their argument. In other words,
where is the
tangible results that should be evident if those who claim this continuation is true?
There was clear tangible evidence of the physical supernatural manifestations in the New Testament times. If these manifestations are
still occurring there should be the same confirmation today...if not more.
The debate on if the age of the miraculous is ongoing is not simply an issue of verses but one of prima facie. Just as those of the Flat Earth Society insist that since the Bible proclaims the earth is flat (which it of course does not) all Christians should join them, so too are groups like the Pentecostals using the same reasoning.

Yes the Bible does teach about and record the miraculous but it does not express its continuation into our time of faith without sight.
No one is grabbing the cloaks of the Charismatics or pulling the roofs off the Pentecostal churches.
We are living in a age of faith without sight and we are blessed because of it.
John 20:29
Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me?
Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
