I believe that everyone finds their own way with God. I believe that a relationship with God is exactly that, a relationship, and in being such they will not all be the same. This does not mean that I believe all "relationships" with God are true and that they will be saved and going to heaven. I think that professing to know the truth about the Bible and what it means is a dangerous thing because God speaks so much on false prophets and I believe misleading believers is one of the biggest sins you can commit.
Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'"
1 John 1:8-10 "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us."
Jason0047 I have read many of your posts on this thread and first off I am very impressed with your knowledge of the Bible, but I believe that many of the verses you have used have been taken out of context and are misleading in their meaning. I don't doubt that you believe what you are saying, you clearly fell very strongly on the subject. However you come across very hostile and superior, obviously I can not know what you are thinking or feeling but for me someone who attempts to shove their beliefs down my throat isn't someone I would want to listen to. So I would suggest that if you truly believe you are correct and you truly want people to believe in the way that you do, that you approach it differently. I am not trying to single out because many people on this thread have just started fighting, it is no longer a discussion of trying to understand the Bible and its meaning it is simply trying to prove the other wrong. In my opinion God's word should speak for itself it does not need an advocate to force others to believe. We are to bring others to God in love and show them the love and the grace of God. I don't see any love or any grace in this thread and that to me means we are missing the point. Sure God has rules and the debate on wether there are sins that are unforgivable is a hard one to prove but why do we need to prove it to one another. God will be the judge when it is time.
