Well, I think I've finally become one of "those" board gamers.... the ones who spend a large sum of money on a board game, then go out and buy storage boxes and bags for the game before it's ever played. Only saving grace is I found my storage boxes at the dollar store so I'm not out too much more moolah.

What is the board game?

Also how much did it cost? Just nosy... er, curious, just curious.

I picked up quacks of quedlinburg, cool game but definitely on the expensive side for what I'm willing to pay for a game (but I could have easily paid 30% more if I wanted)

Here's the amazon link

and I've got all the pieces nice and organized if anyone wants to come play.

Looks like a cross between Pokemon (deck building) and Blackjack (draw one more card and you could win, or you could ruin any chance of winning.)

In weight training you should reach a point where you are decreasing reps in order to increase weight.

I'm actually doing a training program incorporated with Pilates. It's not the usual lift-and-lower type reps. I'm concentrating on balance, flexibility, deep breathing, and endurance with holding in position. In the short time I've started, I can feel my muscles strengthening quickly.

Btw, I'm now at Day 24 and am very happy with the results so far. I've actually taken your advice Oncefallen and not increasing reps because at this point, I'm really just maintaining. I'm very content where I'm at now. :giggle:(y)

An Untitled Lyrical Ode.

This piece doesn't rhyme. I just wrote it on a whim after coming home from church today which interestingly, is doing a series on relationships. I tried to incorporate some iambic elements. I know it can seem cheesy, but I feel like sharing it :)

I tell you I don’t need you
But I want you
And thats a big difference

When we meet, I hesitate
But kiss me now
Thats what my eyes say

I can’t fight this push and pull
And it’s a secret
I play it cool, my darling

I am not afraid anymore
Both young and free
We embrace at the bay bridge

Place your lips on mine and dance,
Drive me crazy
I hereby give you permission

Your apartment is our dance floor
Our hands just fit
I can’t get enough of you

Its not like we have plans t’night
Or even tomorrow
You whisper such sweet nothings

Get me breakfast in the morning
Hold me gently
Your kiss plays on my mind all day

When you kissed my scar so sweet
"Made it better”
You grin, and I am hella in… so in.

This is an incredible piece. Very moving and beyond romantic. More like breathtakingly romantic. ;)

Saturday I took some chocolate chip cookies to a church dinner. They had oat flour (oats in a blender) in the mix, which gave them a wonderful texture. I had a lot left over - the recipe had 4 cups self-rising flour, 5 cups oat flour, 2 cups sugar, 2 cups brown sugar, so it made a lot - and there was far too much food in general (but sooooo delicious!) so everybody had leftovers to take home.

Tuesday night I finished the last of the leftover cookies. I didn't TRY to eat them fast, but they were like crack. I couldn't eat just one. I couldn't eat just twenty!

Right now I could seriously hurt somebody for a cookie...

If ya'll liked these books, I recommend this video. Very interesting in how they are made.

And now for some good news....

Found out today that my work had such a good year last year and is awesome enough that a bunch of us are getting an extra bonus. Yay for free money!
