I'm not going to play word games with you Dino...
I've biblically proved my assertion, of you and many others here in these forums being Biblical " False Prophets" for people to be ..
AWARE, & Forewarned.
Nud sed !
There are a few people who promote false doctrine on this forum. You are certainly one of them. Anyone can grab a few scriptures to try and prove a point. You can quote some scripture to make yourself look good. But you betray yourself by condemning believers who know the truth , and that includes Dino. It's not a matter with agreeing with every doctrine and opinion. It's a matter of recognising the body of Christ, which you plainly do not.

You think you are something special. You are not. Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's the truth.

Surely you can give an example if I do this with such regularity.

Are you running from this question: do you believe the purpose of the law is for an individual to change their own heart?

And I'm not offended. I just don't think you can make your case. In which case, I would hope you would gladly receive the correction.

To answer your question, and it is a good one Cameron: "do you believe the purpose of the law is for an individual to change their own heart?"

No
— the law alone cannot change a human heart. Never could. Never was designed to. If it could we would not need God at all and we would not need a New Covenant.

The law is like a mirror. It shows you clearly what you are , where you fall short, where your heart is divided, where your love for God and for others is incomplete. A mirror can show you that your face is dirty but it cannot wash it. That was always God's point.

But here is what is so often missed. God never intended the law to stand alone. From the very beginning His desire was a relationship, a people who would love Him genuinely from the inside out not from fear of punishment. He said to Israel at Sinai before giving the commandments:

Now therefore if ye will obey my voice indeed and keep my covenant then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people. (Exodus 19:5)

Not slaves following rules. A treasured people walking with their God.

And when Israel repeatedly failed because the heart was not yet transformed , God promised something greater was coming:

A new heart also will I give you and a new spirit will I put within you and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes and ye shall keep my judgements and do them. (Ezekiel 36:26-27)

That is the New Covenant. Not new commandments replacing the old. The same holy standard of God written now on transformed hearts by His Spirit rather than on external tablets of stone. God does what the law alone never could, He changes the heart from within.

Jesus came to fulfil this promise completely. He did not come to lower the standard, He actually raised it deeper into the heart:

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time thou shalt not kill. But I say unto you that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. (Matthew 5:21-22)

He was magnifying the law, taking it from external behaviour into the inner life of the soul. Not watering it down. Going deeper, much deeper.

And His call to us is simply this, to come to Him, receive a new heart, and walk in His ways not because you have to but because you love Him:

If ye love me keep my commandments. (John 14:15)

That is God's will from Genesis to Revelation, a holy people walking with a holy God. Not through their own effort and willpower but through a transformed heart that genuinely loves Him and naturally desires to reflect His character in daily life.

He said it best Himself:

Be ye therefore perfect even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5:48)

That is the goal. Holiness. Not achieved by human effort alone but by surrendering completely to the One who promised to write His law on our hearts and walk with us every step of the way.

Peace

Jesus spoke to the Jews not the Gentiles.
Gentiles were never in covenant to obey the law.
Gentiles cannot be placed under the law.
The scripture is very clear on this subject.
Inquisitor above, lying as a Pharisee, here in these forums.

John 8:44 ~~> Jesus refers to the Pharisees as liars, stating, "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out his desires. ( for us to be disobedient unto perdition ) He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

Inquisitor, by promoting & exhibiting the spirit of anti- Christ, anti-Love. Disobedience ! ... Being here, preaching / promoting & teaching, ... living this disobedience to The Father, Son & Holy Spirit, ... Being the definition of a False Prophet, during these final days of Earth's history, right before the eminent return of our Lord & King Jesus.

Matthew 7:15
– “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.”

Matthew 24:11 – “And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.”

Matthew 24:24 – “For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”

Mark 13:22 – “For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”

1 John 4:1 – “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

2 Peter 2:1“But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying
( Jesus and His Righteousness ) the Master who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.”

Peter, is here describing some of you here, calling themselves Christian, ...BUT ..."Having a form of godliness, but denying its power: from such turn away." 2 Timothy 3:5

Peter describes individuals who outwardly appear religious or godly but lack genuine spiritual transformation. ( as in~> repentance of sin &"disobedience", being born again into a new life of obedience and the righteousness of Christ. They maintain the form—the outward appearance of Christianity or rituals of faith—yet they reject the power of godliness, which is the inward, life-changing influence of God’s Spirit. Gal 2:20 As a result, their lives remain unchanged by true faith, and they are warned against as dangerous influences, ... as False Prophets.

Peace
Amen brother! Great post. And the New Covenant had to be laws known to both Ezekiel and Jeremiah.

God promised their inheritance on the condition they obey His commandments.

They broke the covenant, because they did not continue in their promise.

This is the pattern:

Eze 20:15 So I also raised My hand in an oath to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, ‘flowing with milk and honey,’ the glory of all lands, 16 because they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statutes, but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols

  • God gives statutes and laws
  • Israel rejects them
  • Judgment follows
  • Result = loss of the land / inheritance
This same covenant logic appears throughout the OT:
  • Deuteronomy 28 – blessings vs curses
  • Leviticus 26 – disobedience leads to exile
  • 2 Kings 17 / 25 – exile to Assyria & Babylon
The core issue was the law was known, but their heart was not changed.

Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things

The New Covenant fixes the heart

Jer 31:33 I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts

God never once speaks of a new law- the law was never the issue, the harden heart of man is.

It is the same law, but internalized

Ezekiel gives the same promise

Eze 36:26 “I will give you a new heart…
I will put my Spirit within you
and cause you to walk in my statutes.”

Ezekiel shows a history of the broken covenant

  • Ezekiel 20 – Israel rejected God's statutes → exile
  • Ezekiel 36 – new heart and Spirit
  • Ezekiel 37 – resurrection of the nation
  • Ezekiel 36:28 – return to the land

Jeremiah says- I will write My laws in the heart and mind it has to be know by Jeremiah. All Ten Commandments is repeated in Jeremiah. The law of God was never the issue- it is written by God Himself- its perfect like God Psa 19:7 is and holy Rom7:12 like God is, the issue is the harden heart of man. Why the Holy Spirit calls on us out of our rebellion to God , like those who came before us. Will we hear Him Heb3:7-19

1. No other gods

Exodus 20:3

  • Jeremiah 2:11 — “my people have changed their glory for that which does not profit”
  • Jeremiah 7:9 — “Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, make offerings to Baal...”
  • Jeremiah 11:10 — “they have gone after other gods”
  • Jeremiah 13:10
  • Jeremiah 16:11
  • Jeremiah 19:4
  • Jeremiah 25:6

2. No idols / graven images

Exodus 20:4-6

  • Jeremiah 10:1-16 — strongest anti-idol passage in the book
  • Jeremiah 11:13 — “As many as your cities are your gods”
  • Jeremiah 18:15
  • Jeremiah 19:4
  • Jeremiah 32:34-35

3. Do not take the name of the LORD in vain

Often reflected in false oaths and dishonest swearing.

  • Jeremiah 5:2 — “though they say, ‘As the LORD lives,’ yet they swear falsely”
  • Jeremiah 7:9
  • Jeremiah 9:3-8
  • Jeremiah 23:10 — the land mourns because of oaths.

4. Remember the Sabbath

  • Jeremiah 17:19-27

5. Honor father and mother

  • Jeremiah 35:6-10, 14-18 — the Rechabites obey their forefather; used as a contrast to Judah’s disobedience to God
  • Jeremiah 7:6
  • Jeremiah 20:15
  • Jeremiah 22:3

6. Do not murder

  • Jeremiah 7:9
  • Jeremiah 19:4 — “they have filled this place with the blood of innocents”
  • Jeremiah 22:3
  • Jeremiah 26:15

7. Do not commit adultery

  • Jeremiah 5:7-8
  • Jeremiah 7:9
  • Jeremiah 9:2
  • Jeremiah 23:10, 14
  • also the whole book uses adultery as a metaphor for idolatry: Jeremiah 3:1-10

8. Do not steal

  • Jeremiah 7:9
  • Jeremiah 21:12
  • Jeremiah 22:3

9. Do not bear false witness

  • Jeremiah 5:2
  • Jeremiah 7:9
  • Jeremiah 9:3-5
  • Jeremiah 14:14
  • Jeremiah 23:14, 25-32
  • Jeremiah 27:10, 14-16

10. Do not covet

  • Jeremiah 6:13 — “from the least to the greatest, everyone is greedy for unjust gain”
  • Jeremiah 8:10
  • Jeremiah 17:11
  • Jeremiah 22:17 — eyes and heart set on dishonest gain

There are a few people who promote false doctrine on this forum.
Do you comprehend how there are only two spirits presented here.

The Spirit of obedience, the Holy Spirit VS the spirit of disobedience, the spirit of Anti-Christ.
The Spirit of Able VS the spirit of Cain.
Covenant keepers, AKA Commandment keepers VS covenant breakers, non- Commandment keepers, AKA sinners.
The disciples of Christ, speaking & promoting Truth, Jesus VS the disciples of anti- Christ speaking & promoting UN-Righteousness.

... For me and my house, we will serve the Lord ~~ Joel 24:15

We are in a battle of authority ! Christ & His angels against Satan and his angels, over the souls of men.
Read "
The Great Controversy" between Good & Evil" ... By Ellen G White
The book explains this battle for authority, in very great detail.
... and I pray that you convert and born again to the winning side.

Funny you should say that. After I posted it, I thought I felt something change.
No not so funny, since there is a lot of discussion about false prophets or false teachers now on this thread I went back to Deuteronomy to find the texts to help identify both categories ( false prophet or false teachers ) and I wrote a text for you guys, its from scripture and yo must take it seriously this time and stop mocking God @Cameron143.

How To Identify A False Prophet or False Teacher
Deuteronomy 13 and 18 (NKJV)

God knew from the very beginning that false voices would rise up among His people. He loved us enough to warn us clearly and give us precise tests to identify them. In Deuteronomy 13 God gives the most penetrating test of all and it cuts straight to the heart of the matter. It is not about whether someone performs miracles or speaks with great authority or draws large crowds. God actually warns us that a false prophet can do signs and wonders and still be completely false:

If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams and he gives you a sign or a wonder and the sign or the wonder comes to pass of which he spoke to you saying let us go after other gods which you have not known and let us serve them you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. (Deuteronomy 13:1-3)

Read that carefully. God says He may actually allow a false prophet to perform real signs and wonders as a test of your love for Him. The miracle is not the proof of truth. The message is. And the message God is listening for is this: does this person lead you toward His commandments or away from them? That is the test. Simple. Unchanging. Eternal. If any voice, regardless of how gifted or how anointed they appear, how many people follow them, how many books they sell or how large their ministry is, leads you away from the commandments of God that voice fails the test God Himself established. God could not be clearer about what happens next:

That prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death because he has spoken in order to turn you away from the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of bondage to entice you from the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. (Deuteronomy 13:5)

The second test appears in Deuteronomy 18 and is equally clear. If a prophet speaks in the name of God and what he says does not come to pass that word did not come from God:

When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord if the thing does not happen or come to pass that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken the prophet has spoken it presumptuously you shall not be afraid of him. (Deuteronomy 18:22)

These two tests together give us a complete picture. Does their prophecy come true? And most importantly does their teaching lead people toward God and His commandments or away from them?

Now here is where it gets deeply serious and where many sincere believers are caught off guard. Can someone who performs genuine miracles still be a false teacher or false prophet? According to Jesus Himself the answer is an unambiguous and sobering yes. This is not a minor point. Jesus placed this warning at the very heart of His most important sermon and His words are some of the most alarming in all of Scripture:

Many will say to Me in that day Lord Lord have we not prophesied in Your name cast out demons in Your name and done many wonders in Your name? And then I will declare to them I never knew you depart from Me you who practice lawlessness. (Matthew 7:22-23)

Look at what Jesus is describing here. These are people who prophesied in His name. Cast out demons in His name. Done many wonders in His name. By any outward measure they looked like powerful anointed ministers of God. Crowds would have followed them. People would have been healed and delivered under their ministry. And yet Jesus looks at them on that final day and says I never knew you. The reason He gives is devastating in its simplicity: they practiced lawlessness. They lived and taught in a way that set aside the commandments of God. The miracles were real. The relationship was not.

This means that a ministry built on signs and wonders is not automatically a ministry built on truth. The supernatural is not the standard. Obedience to God's commandments is the standard. Jesus confirmed this without any room for compromise:

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments and shall teach men so shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:19)

A teacher or preacher today who tells people that the commandments of God are obsolete, done away with or no longer relevant falls directly under the warning God gave in Deuteronomy 13 and that Jesus repeated in Matthew 7. It does not matter how sincere they are, how much Scripture they quote, how many miracles happen in their meetings or how genuinely people feel blessed under their ministry. If the fruit of their teaching is a congregation that feels free to set aside God's commandments that teacher has failed the test God Himself wrote with His own finger on tablets of stone.

And Jesus warned us that these voices would multiply dramatically in the last days:

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive if possible even the elect.(Matthew 24:24)

Notice He says great signs and wonders. Not small impressive moments. Great ones. Powerful enough to potentially deceive even the most committed believers. This is the world we are living in right now. Ministries built on spectacle, emotion and supernatural demonstration are drawing millions while the commandments of God are quietly set aside or openly dismissed as irrelevant. God warned you about this in Deuteronomy. Jesus warned you about this in Matthew. The test has never changed.

And Jesus warned us that these false voices would be identified not by what they claim but by what their lives and teaching actually produce:

Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. (Matthew 7:15-16)

The fruit God is looking for has never changed. It is a people who love Him with all their heart and walk in His ways. Any voice that leads you away from that love and that walk, no matter how eloquent, how popular, how miraculous or how emotionally moving, is a voice God warned you about long before they ever appeared. The mirror to hold up to every teacher, every preacher, every prophet is simply this: do their words draw you closer to the commandments of God or further away from them? That question alone, applied honestly and prayerfully, will protect you from the greatest deceptions of these last days.

Go back to His Word. Go back to His commandments. Go back to Jesus. That is the safest place you will ever stand.

@Cameron143 , about post 4708, i am not accusing you here far from it but just keep your eyes opened and heed the warnings in the verses from Deuteronomy, a few here fit these descriptions, you will recognize them, no need to mention who they you will see. @Cameron143

Go back to His Word. Go back to His commandments. Go back to Jesus. That is the safest place you will ever stand.
Good post. This idea that Gentiles can break the law of God and Jews can't, is a false gospel. God shows no partiality Rom2:11

God only puts people in two categories. Saved and lost.

Those who remain faithful to Him and keep His commandments (His version) Rev 14:12 Rev22:14KJV and those who practice lawlessness (sin, without law) which He says depart from Me. Mat 7:23 Rev22:15

The wheat (true Christians) and tares (false Christians) grow together and only He knows who is who. The best way to safeguard us is change our direction. Repent (change our mind of sin) for the Kingdom of God is at hand. Look at the Ten Commandments as a mirror it shows us our sins so we can confess and change direction. James 1:22-26 James 2:10-12 covering our sins is not the answer Pro28:13 Heb10:26-30. Allow the God who created us to be the God we worship Rev14:7 Exo20:11 trust His commandments is only for our own good. 1John5:3

no problem it is hard to determine what someone means with one phrase alone.

Cheers.
You accuse others of being false prophets, yet it was you who said something false and couldn't own up to it. Perhaps you ought to take a second look in the mirror. And rather than hide behind platitudes, perhaps you will actually share what someone shared that is in error. You have been critical of me in particular and I have asked you to point directly to my perceived error. Crickets. You do realize this is sin on your part?

The "New Covenant" is the same as the "Old Covenant", Obedience to God, except written in our hearts,

No, that would keep it the Old Covenant: a change of location does not make "new". To be new, well, it has to be new, as-in completely new. Therefore, the law that accompanies the New Covenant also had to change from Old Covenant law. The law of the Old Covenant makes no provision for mercy and grace but only judgment for those who seek to be justified by it, and the blood of bulls and goats, which sacrifice was demanded by that law, could never take away sins. With the New Covenant came a new priesthood and a new priesthood demanded a change of law (not a change to its location). For those whom God chose to place under the New Covenant - solely by being placed under it - their sins are forgiven and they become saved. For them the satisfying of any law is not demanded because Christ already achieved that on their behalf.

[Heb 7:11-19 KJV]
11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need [was there] that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
14 For [it is] evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
17 For he testifieth, Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope [did]; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

@Cameron143 , about post 4708, i am not accusing you here far from it but just keep your eyes opened and heed the warnings in the verses from Deuteronomy, a few here fit these descriptions, you will recognize them, no need to mention who they you will see. @Cameron143
You should do more self reflection than concerning yourself with others. You'll find plenty to keep yourself busy.

you should probably leave so you don’t get infected.
LOL .. You ARE funny Dino, I'll give you that... ( and I am sure you wish I would leave)
You are right.. I have to be vigilant, ... but my love for my fellow man, "my neighbors" ( Matthew 22:39 ) calls me to lift up Jesus and His Righteousness, His obedience to the Father, and keeping the "Faith of Jesus" Rev 14:12 ... Which gives me power ( His HS) to resist evil and overcome the temptation to become as some of you here. ... Like yourself, ... who love their sin "disobedience" while maintaining their delusion of being sanctified unto glorification in Christ, and heirs to Heaven with Him.

You think you are something special. You are not. Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's the truth.
I'm not thinking I'm "something special" I'am not ! I'm a sinner, just as we ALL are...
" ... God is no respecter of persons. " Acts 10:34
The Holy Spirit has been doing a might work in me, bring me to understanding & believing Jesus and His Righteousness, (His obedience to our Father) to be able to use me to lift up Jesus, as I'm doing here today, being my service to My God, as His disciple. Matthew 28:19-20

@rogerg
I'm not going to argue with you about The Righteousness of Christ throughout History.
Take that argument up with Jesus. Pray on it !
I don't have time .. sorry !

Y'all have a Blessed Day now .. Talk at ya L8r
:)

No not so funny,

Yes, funny, because the judgement of the one calling "false prophet", is totally invalid. The point you are unable to comprehend is that
through Christ, the commandments were changed. If they hadn't been then He would not be the Savior that we are informed, in no uncertain terms, He is.
