Can you point to the Scripture where Jesus said this

but meant this? Where is the Scripture that says if we don't like what Jesus says we can just re-write it.

And when did one of the Ten Commandments written by the God of Creation Exo20:11 God's own Testimony Exo31:18 because a "made up rule"
I have been taking a good part of this morning, placing your verses back into the context so that we might see that they don't say what you think they say.

well all I can say is they you go against what is written clearly in scripture. I presented the scriptural evidence where is yours?
In case you didn't notice, I was using the verses you gave me to show that they didn't say what you think they said.

Well you claimed Jesus said one thing but meant something else- can you post Jesus saying what you claimed He meant and not just your words. I do pray tell you see there is a huge difference between the two.

LOL! Apparently it is very important to the SDA folk but it is not true. So I don't go around with that 'good news'. I cannot help what people believe. The Bible is the word of God and Jesus is the word incarnate.

I have not found SDA doctrine in the Bible.
Prove it
Your able to make these bold statements but can you back it up... ?

Which sda bible doctrine is not found in the Bible.

When I have time I will show you the bible verses. 🙏

No, God directly spoke His Ten Commandments and called them "My commandments"
Not all of God's commandments are Moral imperatives. You think that the Fourth Commandment is a moral imperative because it is included among the ten. But as I say, there is nothing moral about avoiding work on a Saturday.
Heb4.9 says there remains a Sabbath-rest for the people of God and the rest in this verse literally means keeping the Sabbath
That is a mistake because when Paul wrote that verse, people were already resting on Saturday. Paul looks forward to another Day.

According to God the moral aspect of the Sabbath is to Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy Exo20:8 to work 6 days Exo20:9 and cease our work on the seventh day
Here, we draw a distinction between a commandment that is intrinsically moral and a commandment that is extrinsically moral. For instance, the commandment "thou shalt not Murder" is intrinsically moral because it is imperative for it's own sake and was always wrong from day one. It is never right, anywhere or anytime to murder someone.

On the other hand, eating Kosher is not intrinsically moral. There is nothing wrong if a Gentile eats food that is forbidden for Israel to eat. But it is extrinsically moral in that God commanded Israel to eat kosher and it is always wrong to disobey God.

You want to argue that working on the Sabbath Day is morally equivalent to killing another person. Working on Saturday is intrinsically wrong for all human beings. But it isn't. It is not immoral for a Gentile to work on a Saturday.

Sorry I don't go by because someone says so, I go by what is actually written. Heb4:9NIV doesn't say anything about another Sabbath, it plainly states the Sabbath rest which is according to the commandment Luke23:56 remains for God's people, not changed. Because there is no one greater than God to change a jot or tittle against His will. Mat5:18-19 they can try Dan7:25 but its not serving what God said to Isa56:6 whoever we obey is who we serve Rom6:16KJV

I have learned its impossible to reason when one believes their ideas thoughts are equal or above the word of God. God asked us not to add to His words Pro30:5-6 You have made multiple's statements and when asked to back them up with Scripture again followed up with your words. I guess it will get sorted out in God's time.

well all I can say is they you go against what is written clearly in scripture.
There is two problems with your mindset: 1) Everything we believe, whether right or wrong, is clear to us. So clarity isn't the best way to judge whether a proposition is true or false. 2) Single verses taken out of context don't often represent the objective meaning of the speaker or writer.

I'm sorry this is frustrating to you, because you expect me to believe what I read, and that should be the end of the argument. To be honest, I very much appreciate all the time and effort you put into providing scriptural evidence. That is a good thing, and I recommend you continue. But try to understand the verses within the passages from where they came.

As a Christian, we can’t afford to ignore anybody. peoples lives depend on us. We need one another.

oh, I am not frustrated at all, don't worry about me...I expect simply that you believe what is in the bible, it is a choice that God gives us, No one is forcing you to believe anything including God.

EG White destroys her own testimony. You think it is a small thing to claim that Hebrews 9:24 and 8:1 & 2 is in error?
I'm sorry, but I'm not grasping what you are trying to say about "Hebrews 9:24 and 8:1 & 2 is in error" I don't know what you are referring to where EGW claims those verses are in "error" ... Do you mean she doesn't understand them the way you do, so that makes her "in error"?

I know that she understands the Word to support obedience to our God, as I do. I realized my obligation to God's authority to keep His commandments way before become familiar with White. Then realized she and I harmonized in our understanding of scripture, to where now I really appreciate her councils. She is like a lesser light, exposing the Greater Light of the Everlasting Gospel.

As I've said many times before, you folks understand the Bible in a way that supports your religious disobedience. A theology that excuses your continuation in sinfulness, unrighteousness and rebellious towards God, while giving honor and authority to Satan, by believing his three lies from Eden and keeping his Sunday sacredness. The Sabbath is the creator God's created holy day, that he made for man in Eden to commune with Him every seventh day. For Adam & Even to rest from their labors in the garden and fellowship, enjoy and rest with Jesus, walking in the cool of the day. How beautiful is that .. Which is why I love the Sabbath. NOT because it's the 4th Commandment. It's a very beautiful situation, fellowshipping with family, friends and God every 7 days.

Why do so many of you believing that " You won't surely die" when God says "you will die" for the wages of your sin are eternal death. ie. no eternal life in a burning lake of fire. ? ... When you die the second death, you become non-existent, as if you never were, rather than eternity with the Father and the Son. This eternal life in a burning hell, is a roman catholic created tradition to make the Papacy, MONEY ... Tis sad !!

It's nonsense. Not none sense. We can have no sense, and say nonsense, but but no one can have none sense. That's nonsense.

I'm not talking about anything, but only asking sabbath-commanders about their congregational practice of their sabbath. So far, none are willing to answer at all, much less honestly.

Why should anyone listen to sabbath preaching from a bunch of breakers and profaners of their own sabbaths, much less ever want to join their congregational hypocrisy?

There is no argument, but only a straight question. Until one of you sabbath commanders answer for your congregational practice, then it's foolish to hear any other blather about your phony play-sabbath.
EH ! ** He said dismissively **
You've been answered so many time by so many different Sabbath keepers and it goes right over your head.. so, I'll not waste my evening trying to explain it again..

Your ignorance of what the Sabbath is makes you incapable of understand & experiencing a Sabbath keepers love for my God and His Sabbath, The Righteousness of Christ. It's ALL about Love ! Matthew 22:37

( What ? were you an English teacher ? I was a Math & Science teacher ..as evident by my use of logic ) .. interesting to meet you !:-) )

I think it is other members promoting SDA and not the SDA themselves. why don't we get back to the O.P, and quit accusing others and their denominations. We should discuss intelligently about what truly matters in these end tines. Time is short. As Christians we are supposed to help and encourage one another.

Do you agree the Ten commandments are the Covenant ad described and written in scripture?
No, I do not agree. And I will not quit pointing out the error of the SDA false doctrines. Lord Jesus shed His precious blood of the new covenant, the covenant that supersedes the ineffective covenant of Law. "Help and Encourage" is the last intent of SDA. Do you not know that they believe that God only answers the prayers of SDA and that the devil answers the prayers of the non SDA? Do you not know the history of the "1844" fallacy? The root of SDA is toxic.

Miller got it wrong when he made a false prediction about the return of Christ. He acknowledged his error and apologised to those he had offended. SDA simply rewrote God's word to come up with a patently false doctrine that they still spout.

My Bible tells me that if I pray in Jesus' name, God hears me. John 14:14. SDA teaching is that only SDA have their prayers answered by God. According to Ellen G White's "vision", the devil answers the prayers of non SDA people. This is patently false and contradicted by the life and witness of hundreds of millions of believers.

Investigative judgement is contrary to God's word. Judgement comes after death. Hebrews 9:27.

The SDA arrogance is beyond belief. The church served the Lord Jesus, spreading the gospel and establishing the body of Christ for centuries before SDA showed up. SDA insults men like Luther, the Wesley brothers, Bunyan, Whitfield and a host of others who served God with love and faithfulness.

SDA brings nothing of any spiritual worth to the church. All they have to offer is dead legalism. This does not excuse other Christians who live fruitless lives that do not glorify God. But we are not talking about them.

The answer you are looking for is in Jeremiah and also in Ezekiel. Paul speaks about the same thing when he quotes Jeremiah in Hebrews 8:8–12. It is important to understand this well, so take time with these verses and ask if anything is unclear.

“Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers… But this is the covenant that I will make… I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” (Jeremiah 31:31–33, ASV)

Ezekiel 36:26–27
"A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes..."

Ezekiel 11:19–20
"And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh: That they may walk in my statutes..."
An earlier version of the same promise Ezekiel later expands in chapter 36.

Deuteronomy 30:6
"And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live."
Moses foretells the same inner renewal — the heart being transformed so that obedience flows naturally from love.

So yes, it is still the same law, but now made new, because we are given access to the Holy Spirit. These verses show that God does not remove His law, but writes it inside the heart, and gives His Spirit to help us walk in it.
So you go to the old covenant to learn about the new covenant. Now it makes way more sense to me why you’re so confused. Let’s look at this verse again and I’ll bold the letters you seemed to have missed:

“Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers… But this is the covenant that I will make… I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” (Jeremiah 31:31–33, ASV)

Answer a question: why would God want to put a ministry of death and condemnation inside you?

The Bible does present the Ten Commandments as the covenant itself. In Exodus 34:28, it is written:

"So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments."

"So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone
(Deuteronomy 4:13, NKJV)

This clearly states that the Ten Commandments are the covenant. When we look at Jeremiah 31:31-33, we see God speaking of a new covenant, but notice what He says:

"Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord.
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."

This passage does not say the law itself would change. Instead, it tells us that the ten commandments that are the covenant instead of being written on stone tablets, would be written in our hearts and minds. That means the law remains the same, but its place changes, from external tablets to internal conviction. This is why we see in the Gospels of John, Matthew, Luke and Mark, Jesus teaching the commandments and magnifying them.

Now, let's connect this with the Ark of the Covenant. In Deuteronomy 10:1-5, God commanded Moses to place the two tablets of the Ten Commandments inside the Ark:

"At that time the Lord said to me, ‘Hew for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and come up to Me on the mountain, and make yourself an ark of wood... Then I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and there they are, just as the Lord commanded me.’"

This shows the special place of the Ten Commandments, inside the Ark, symbolizing their central role in the covenant. But what about the rest of the law? In Deuteronomy 31:24-26, Moses wrote the book of the law and placed it beside the Ark:

"So it was, when Moses had completed writing the words of this law in a book, when they were finished, that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying: ‘Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a witness against you.’”

This distinction is important. The Ten Commandments being described clearly as the Covenant were placed inside the Ark of the Covenant, showing their eternal, unchanging nature as the foundation of the covenant. The rest of the law was placed beside the Ark, acting as a witness.

Now, when Jeremiah speaks of the law being written in our hearts, he is speaking of the same law, the Ten Commandments. The "new" part of the covenant is not that the law changes but that God Himself ensures it is within us, guiding us from within rather than being an external set of rules. This aligns perfectly with how Jesus upheld and fulfilled the law, always pointing back to love for God and neighbor as the foundation of obedience (Matthew 22:36-40).

So, the New Covenant is not about replacing the Ten Commandments but about making them part of who we are.
