Thank you for the reply. I wholeheartedly agree that Messiah paid the penalty of sin, that we might live.

My question was however, how do you teach a child? A 2 year old, for example, would you say all that you just said, and point them to Christ, or would you say "Don't hit your sister." We are supposed to teach our children in simple terms, and that teaching should be Biblicaly based.

It's not against God to obey His commandments, but to obey, then say we don't have to, Jesus did it all is just wrong. Jesus said to follow Him, and all He commanded. And it was Messiah that created everything that was created. It was Messiah on that mountain with Moses and spoke to the people. If I am legalistic, so is Messiah, because He said go and sin no more.

Sure we are not perfect, but He said be perfect, and if we are to be transforming and being perfected, doesn't that take effort on our part? I call on Jesus all day long, the law does not save me, but I am mindful of it and make an all out effort, because I do not want to sin against God.

The fallacy in your mind is that you think you have the ability to obey God and His Commandments. I don't think anyone has that ability. I think our only chance is to trust in Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

If I did think people had the ability to obey the commandments, like I thought before I came I to Christ, then I would think exactly like you and point everyone to the law.

How is it that you know that your only chance for Salvation is the Lord Jesus but you don't know that your only chance at any blessing is from Him as well?

Having thought about what you were saying and having a friend explaining to me, I see what you are saying. Yes, everything spoken by God is moral. I will not argue against that.

You asked me what I meant by 'moral' and I basically gave the definition as 'a behavior's moderator', choosing between what is good or evil and doing what God has determined to be good. If God has decided that walking into a prostitute's house will lead to the road of destruction, then I will take that moral to mean that God deems fornication to be wrong and therefore, because I love Him and He is my Lord, I will not go to a prostitute's house. This is what I mean by moral.

Perhaps, I can say a different word instead of 'moral'?
