David does not believe in the rapture.
David does not believe in the thousand yr reign of Christ.
David does not believe in the physical temple.
David does not believe in freewill and choice.

It seems that David likes theology rather than truth, even though God's ways are not our ways and are far from our understanding
Through the help of you tube and self help he is determined to figure out God.

Again, your refusal to answer simple questions is duly noted.

Gotta wonder why someone won't answer simple questions ... :sneaky:
State your question so I know what I'm supposed to answer.

We're on page 20 of this thread and you have yet to post chapter and verse which supports your claim.

Also, when your error in interpretation is pointed out, you won't take the time to read because "long posts [you] ignore".

You've been told where. You refuse to hear. And then keep asking the same question after you've been given the answer.
“And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.” 1 Kings 22:19–23 (KJV 1900)

How does this say anything but God creates evil and causes people to sin?

R-i-g-h-t … let’s just ignore those "long" posts. You'd much rather revel in your doctrinal error … so much easier than believing the truth of Scripture.

Only in your mind does comforting a child who burns his/her hand equate.

fyi … when a child burns his/her hand on the stove, we treat the wound and tell the child that the stove is hot and it will burn.

The next time the parent gives warning, the child may listen a little more attentively.

This information, too, will probably go in one ear and out the other …
What if God is teaching a youngster a lesson that will lead to a prosperous life?

There are many questions Dave-L will not answer. In his Post #30, Dave-L asked stated "We choose precisely what God wants based on the reasons he places before us."

I replied to him in Post #57 and asked him did Adam "choose precisely what God wants" given the fact that God told Adam in Gen 2:17 not to eat of the tree of knowledge of. good and evil?

How could Adam have done "precise what God wants" when God told Adam not to eat?

That was the first question I asked Dave-L which he still refuses to answer.

Dave-L's erroneous dogma has his understanding of Scripture falling apart at Genesis 2.

Since what Dave-L believes does not line up with Scripture ... he doesn't believe Scripture ... and he is then carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive (Eph 4:14).
God who is of ne mind always does whatsoever his soul pleases . For he works in us to perform the things he appoints to us. he alone can make our hard hearts soft.

He is not served by the creature. But serves the good pleasure of His will by moving them according to His good will .

God is not a man (impossible)

When God designed the will of mankind. He designed it to be subject to His. He set up a written law that has to do with hearing words of that law. Without the written law (hearing of Faith) men perish. With it some perish and other are given a new spirit .

Unlike the temporal spirit we are born with. . . subject to death.

Mankind did what they wanted or what they call "free will" and He did what he desired. The glory departed leaving them naked . God put an end to that he created a new bride. One not subject to the law (death)

How does this say anything but God creates evil and causes people to sin?
Ahab had 400 prophets and all of Ahab's prophets told Ahab to Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king (1 Kings 22:6).

In 1 Kings 22:19-23, God revealed to Micaiah that Ahab's prophets were lying to him.

If, as you continue to claim, God were truly evil, He would not have revealed to Ahab that his prophets were lying to him ... He would have kept silent and allowed Ahab to listen to his prophets.

But God did not do that. God told Ahab:

1) that if Ahab went, he would be killed and Israel would no longer have a king:

1 Kings 22:17 And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace.

2) that Ahab's prophets were lying to Ahab:

1 King 22:19-23 And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade [him], and prevail also: go forth, and do so. Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.

3) That Ahab will not return in peace:

1 Kings 22:28 And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, O people, every one of you.

Ahab did not listen to God after God revealed to him that he would be killed, that his prophets were lying to him, that he would not return in peace.

Ahab was warned.

Ahab suppressed the truth in unrighteousness.

Ahab suffered the consequence of his decision.

Is Mr. Einstein available to determine whether the explanation is "simple" and that you "don't understand it well enough"?

Dave-L said:

I am sure you would love me to keep silent so you can continue in your error and encourage others to go with you in your folly.

Dave-L said:
“For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words.” Ecclesiastes 5:3 (KJV 1900)
Do you remember what I told you about context, Dave-L?

Read the verse you quoted in the context:

Ecclesiastes 5:

1 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.

2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

3 For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words.

The verse you quoted in your effort to keep others from exposing your error relates to prayer to God.

Dave-L said:
“For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou God.” Ecclesiastes 5:7 (KJV 1900)
Again, read the context:

Ecclesiastes 5:

4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.

5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

6 Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?

7 For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou God.

Don't make promises you do not intend to keep.

So now you're saying that the parent should burn the child's hand on the stove in order to teach the child not to touch the stove???

Do you have children, Dave-L???

You know darn good and well that you would not do what you accuse God of doing. Has it ever occurred to you that you are being blown about by a wind of doctrine whereby you have been deceived by men who lie in wait to catch the unwary?

No? Well open your eyes before you get burned further!!!

God controls all for his glory. If he kills a wicked child, as with the Canaanites, it was the right thing to do.
