I must spend 3/4 of my entire reading, researching, studying, meditating, and it can be frustrating as I'm the only one of my Church that gets into the Bible. The head of the Church knows an untold but he has a life outside of Church with his business but my gut feeling is he's not interested in one on one mentoring. My mentor is back in Australia, and we would spend hours and hours together. Our greatest achievement is Samson. The material we've dug up on Samson was just brilliant, so much so I'm writing a script.

I've told I should study something else. I says, 'It's all I want to study is the Bible. For doing so will lead me to world issues, the heavens ( never was into astrology until I discovered Job 38 ), the deep sea, geographically, numbers, history a ton of things' they were like, 'Nah way!' I was like 'Yahweh'.

It is lots and lots and lots of fun. After much study this is what friends have told me, 'Your glowing and your smile is radiant'. l'm like well I get pregnant so it must be from Bible Study...hehehehe'.
I would like to invite you to have a look at the forum I posted. You might like it.

31 Entonces dijo Jesús a los judíos que habían creído en Él: Si vosotros permanecéis en mi palabra, seréis verdaderamente mis discípulos;

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If all of you continue in my word, (o. logos) then are all of you my disciples indeed;

32 And all of you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how say you, All of you shall be made free?

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin.

35 And the servant abides not in the house for ever: but the Son abides ever.

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, all of you shall be free indeed.

37 I know that all of you are Abraham's seed; but all of you seek to kill me, because my word (o. logos) has no place in you.

I have a question for all concerning the following quote from a Campbellite that uses this chat site...

WORKS DO NOT EARN GRACE

WORKS REQUIRED to receive GRACE

Is this a contradiction of WORDS and or a play on WORDS?
Where is this principle found in scriptures?

Grace means UNMERITED FAVOR
so how can it be possible to earn or receive GRACE BASED UPON WORKS seeing how the very word means unmerited favor<--unearned favor?
To work for something means you EARNED IT!
Calling me names as "Campbellite" will never make your argument biblically true or valid. I do not know what Campbell taught on the subject of works and grace but I can tell you what the BIBLE has to say on this subject:

http://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/94634-free-gifts-come-conditions.html

Naaman had a disease. God owed Naaman nothing but by God's grace or "UNMERITED FAVOR" Naaman could be healed IF IF IF IF IF he went CONDITIONALLY went and dipped in the river 7 times. His going and dipping was work but that work earned him nothing but that work was a NECESSARY CONDITION attached to God's free gift of grace.

So to the "faith onlyists", since Naaman did works does that mean Naaman heal himself and grace played no part in his healing?

seems like it opens the door to boasting, doesn't it?

but i thought this Grace was worked in a such a way as "lest any man should boast" .. ?
But God told him to go and dip to be cleansed.

So did God put Naaman in a "catch-22" where Naaman had to dip to be cleansed but if he dipped, God would then accuse Naaman of boasting?

'

If a micro-gram of a string is attached it is not a gift for sure....!
Since Naaman's being healed by grace came with the "string" attached of dipping/working, then it was not really a free gift?

Naaman being healed of leprosy had nothing to do with soul salvation and Campbell taught the same heresy you teach....so.......keep contradicting yourself and trusting into works and water...neither of which have anything to do with biblical salvation!

Just my opinion, but I believe many of them are nothing but trolls, with a few cult members thrown in. You see a lot of copy and paste work with scripture, but no understanding, one track minds, i.e., a constant effort to bicker over one theme. Forget spirituality, a normal person gets bored after awhile, at least one who isn't suffering some narcissistic or sociopathic disorder that feeds on attention of any kind. Maybe Google traits of trolls? They love religious forums, fertile ground for inflaming people.

It's the faith onlyist that are the ones who cannot give a biblical based, logical reason why God's free gift of grace came to Naaman attached with a WORK. The ones who cannot explain why Naaman must have done the work of dipping in order to receive that free gift of grace of healing.

Faith is not a work...it is a spiritual GIFT and has been already dealt to every man in measure by God!
Mk 2:5 "Jesus saw their faith" What Jesus saw and is called "faith" is the work the men did before Jesus' eyes

1 Thess 1:3 remembering your "WORK of faith"

Naaman was UNDER the LAW which had certain requirements and again the cleansing of a LEPER had nothing at all to do with biblical salvation......you need to get some glasses and start actually reading the bible instead of regurgitating Alexander Campbell's heresy...serious before you end up in the smoking section!

Being blind to the truth and deceived by false apostate preachers who have brain washed them!
Uh, it is the false man-made teaching of faith only that blinds people to the simpliest of things as free gifts coming with attached conditions.

I can offer you a new ar for free, you did nothing to deserve it, I am giving it to you out of my good grace.

Want the free car? then do the work of going to the dealer to get it.

Does your work in going to the dealer to get it mean you earned it? If so how? I already offered you a car up front for free, so there is nothing you can ever do to earn it. All you can do now is either reject my gift, do nothing and never get my free gift or meet the condition attached to this free gift to get it.
If I never offered you this free gift then you can do the work in going to the dealer all you care to but there is no free car there for you to get.

Just because you bold something means nothing...How about this I can make things big as well...FAITH IS ALSO CALLED A SPIRITUAL GIFT...ONE OF THREE REMAINING 1ST CORINTHIANS 13

I suggest you pray and seek the Jesus of the bible instead of the pseudo Jesus of Alexander Campbell

see, by grace through faith for good works is the key. when you get these out of order, it produces a works-based salvation, which you have there seabass. right track wrong train.

Sounz a lot like the Church of Christ. They are hellbent of works over grace and the traditions. They are so black 'n white but cannot see the gray. For instance: Show me in scripture that 'Salvation' is a free gift, it is not in the Bible. Oh my gosh...it's like turning a door knob to bathroom and it doesn't turn. Which has me scratching my head thinking...doesn't the name JESUS mean 'Lord of Salvation'. So JESUS died for us paying the price. We paid nothing to Him for His Father gave His only begotten Son. Which I'm pretty sure the word 'gave' means 'freely transfer a possession of something or someone'. Not matter I how put it they still wouldn't listen. Now I know why GOD calls the lost lost for they truly have completely LOST their minds.
Salvation is not a free gift????????

Jn 6:27 "Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed."

Two things about this verse:

1) Jesus said to WORK for the meat that endures unto everlasting life. Issued settle that salvation requires works.

2) Jesus said He GIVES eternal life/salvation. Jesus does not charge for salvation but He gives it, it's free.
