Hi KJV: Yes, but if we cannot clearly define the false doctrine then we have a problem. I have debated JWs many times and have always enjoyed it, if you really know the scriptures you can turn them on their head and be polite at the same time. I am still trying to understand the terrible crime against the Christian faith that ISIT has committed. He seems to be saying that as a Christian we need to forsake sin and walk close to God...is that wrong?
Hi Samuel, I have been reading and enjoying many of your posts. :)
I think you came into the thread just as I did and with the same genuine openness and lack of guile.
So when we saw some very good news for us being preached about a great verse thatis in itself almost too good to be true that it excites us, and then saw people come in and say things like...do you WANT to cause trouble? we were perplexed at how this could be the reaction to the gospel in a Christian area. We were so stunned over it that we failed to note the mistakes being made on both sides. You only start to notice them fully after you struggle through the awful behavior and posts.

Those who came in were following him in from another thread somewhere. So they failed to note that he was preaching good news and instead began attacking him. We weren't in the other thread so we didn't know the man was being chased from place to place.

Secondly, by the flesh of his own that he allows to get stirred up by their display of flesh, at that exact point, it doesn't matter that he's preaching the gospel, because he is only preaching it in word, but not in behavior, so he is preaching it without the necessary power. So he is being led to do damage and he is falling into it. This has been our own problem at many times before we learned to walk more consistently in love.

So both sides are become clanging gongs. But to someone who comes in without an agenda but only to seek their Lord, yes, it is shocking to us to see the gospel being preached and then see it attacked immediately.

Yes Cain was works salvation and so are the children of Belial.
Why make stuff up when you have God's written words...1 John 3:12
Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous."

Cain was evil and did evil works(works of his father the Devil), pretty easy to grasp. :)

What quote pal???? All I see is you accusing me of things I did not say. You saying I said this or that does not make it true, but that does not stop you from falsely accusing and trying to misrepresent me and my words. You guys never provide PROOF a quote from my own words to prove that is what I myself have actually said. So provide a quote from my own words.
you have stated many times that you do not " willfully or habitually sin ".

Yea, my response to you was for the definition of sin.
Righteousness means obedience to God.

Unrighteousness is disobedience.

This is not a definition, other than a defining condition.

The question is what Obedience does John have in view in 1 John 3.

1 John 2 makes it clear, loving God and loving your fellow human being.

Again, you are trying to reword in your own words what I actually said. I answered my own quote proving by scripture what I said is true. But keep trying little soldier maybe one day you can get a accusation to stick. :)

You know.....how many have seen you imply, teach, or say that you were without sin or did not sin....the list of all who could testify is huge....all you do is prove how subtle and deceptive you really are....deceived and deceiving.....not only should you be ashamed of yourself, but your very actions against your own doctrine proves your not right.....end of story....you may seem all holy and you may portray a certain level of righteousness, but it is obvious at the end of the day that you are not all that and a bag of chips when it comes to how you portray yourself....

Claiming walking in righteousness is possible is not a sin, or deception or wrong.
What is wrong is doing evil, sinning, walking in darkness.

Sounds rather like you are slandering the people of God, because they actually believe
God.

Show me one verse that saying being righteous is wrong.

Please read this verse

The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.
1 John 3:7

It simply says we are righteous is we do what is right.
This assumes we are washed clean of sin, repented, purified and made Holy.

This is the promise of walking in the Spirit. If you both knew this reality and
could walk like this, your language would have changed along with your condemnation.

So I suggest your opposition indicates you lack of faith and purity, so I suggest if you
want to abide in Christ you get yourself sorted out and repent of your sin.

No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.
1 John 3:6

No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
1 John 4:12

You know.....how many have seen you imply, teach, or say ....
So if there are so many that have heard me say, this or that, or whatever else you falsely accuse me of then surely one of you many accusers can find a quote from my own words to prove your all your false accusations. But please show us all the thread and post # because your own have in the past actually changed my words in my quotes, in order to misrepresent and falsely accuse. That shows how wicked and evil you reprobates really are, and what great lengths you will go to in order to misrepresent what I teach.

So unless you actually provide quotes from my own words, it just proves that you guys are just a bunch of liars. :)

Is righteous indignation walking after the flesh? Was John and Jesus walking after the flesh when they firmly rebuked the religious hypocrites of their day by calling them serpents, generation of vipers, blind guides, whited walls, hypocrites, children of hell etc. Tell me, do you think Jesus was also walking after the flesh in saying these things? It matters not what you think of me, but if you judge me you had better be sure you judge me in righteousness.

Here are my words....
I am speaking from my condition of being made free from sin
Is this confession contrary to scripture? Let's see....

John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:36
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Romans 6:18

Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Romans 6:22
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

So if you don't believe the words of God, then you will not believe me when I confirmed they are true.

The holocaust has nothing to do with you threatening me, that reveals YOUR heart.
The problem with hatred, is it destroys peoples lives, it eats millions of lives.
The 2nd world war was built on hatred with the hatred of the Jews at its core.
It justified the death camps, but what was worse was the butchering of Slavs
across eastern Europe. 30 million died, often burn alive in houses.

Now I am sorry I expressed my deep sadness and sheer disgust at this violence
when people like you associate yourself with this history.

But I give you too much honour and respect. You neither know what you are doing
or what you are representing. The problem is I thought you knew Christ but I am
mistaken.

I identify with people because I come I thought from a similar world and allegiance.
But it is obvious I am mistaken. I am sorry, you are in the hands of the Lord, and
nothing to do with me.

And if you knew the scar the holocaust has left throughout my whole life, from
story after story of terrible suffering and hatred, you might begin to understand
how the words you spoke go deep. But I am wrong, to believe sin does not blind
the heart of the lost, and emptiness consume their soul. In the lake of fire they
will burn and be no more, and all those who rebel against the Lord and His
righteousness.

So I know it all, and learn to know wolves in sheeps clothing, to ask the right words
and see where their hearts really lie.
