Some days Zonie moves me.... But I love her with a heart that I do not have, if God does not GIVE! Zonie, I am one man that know what God said about the OLD MAN! I just love the fact that God said that those that are in Christ is a NEW CREATURE.

My dear friend, the fact is also that the OLD HAS PASSED.... I so wish God said... the OLD HAD DIED! Looks like people knows more about DEAD, than PASSED. Zonie, I believe God, and there is scripture that beautifully explain that it is ABBA FATHER who lives the NEW LIFE of the NEW CREATURE.

I ask this from God and this was His answer.
Lord, how can this new creature, espaecially a few of them together NOT EVER SIN? And He said....

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

If God is above you and I Zonie, and through us Zonie, and IN us Zonie, are we not DRENCHED, COVERED and FILLED with GOD HIMSELF? And then I remembered how Paul said....
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Now I see what Paul meant... Paul still lived, but because of the GOD IN HIM, it is not as it is Paul still living, but the SON IN HIM. The things SAUL did no longer make Paul arrest the LORD and persecute JESUS. But rather the opposite... Saul is crucified, and the Jesus in Paul was resurrected to live the rest of his days FOR GOD, not AGAINST God.
To live in faith, is to live the way God wants us to live... A GODLY LIFE. Holy, and perfect! Jesus lived this life IN HIMSELF and now HE can live this life IN ALL OF US! GOD IN ALL! I can live in the flesh and in FAITH becasue HE GAVE HIMSELF FOR ME! Not His LIFE ON THE CROSS, HIMSELF.... If Jesus who died on the cross to get me clean, now lives IN ME, how can I get dirty again? Nevertheless I live, YET NOT I BUT CHRIST IN ME! Do you see the LIKENESS of the NEW ME and Christ.... I WHO TALK AND WALK AND ACT LIKE CHRIST LIVE IN ME!! God in me, and ME IN GOD!
That is how faith and Grace FINISHES SALVATION IN CHRIST!

For... Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

This NEW is ALL CHRIST, and NO COBUS! The new heart, is OPPOSITE of the OLD. The NEW Spirit is GOD’S and the NEW creature is ALL GOD. ALL the OLD COBUS is DEAD!!!!

The OLD Cobus had Satan as father and master, and Satan liked him, the NEW Cobus has God as Father and Lord and Satan hates him. But God still loves him, and are WELL PLEASED with HIM! No man in the flesh can please God, thqat is why God put Jesus in the flesh.... So that God can be pleased, by this godly man. There is a big difference between godly man and man in flesh.

Would this not be LOVELY if we also can say this.... And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

I will rely on God to give me what He gave Paul, and every other person HE GAVE HIS SEED TOO, TO REMAIN IN ME AS WELL! God knows, I ACHE for that. I thirst for HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, and I hunger for HIS SPIRIT! Amen!

Jesus was all our great example, he did nothing nor said nothing without Father's telling him
The example for us to do first have the Holy Ghost recieved to us by the resurrection and then learn to listen to the Father's bidding and do it by Faith in him pouring out love to all through the new heart given a gift from God
But no not one of us can ever say we will not ever sin again, yes it is the way of God that we do not, but if we do we have Christ as our advocate our propitiation for all sin, yet this is not for one to take advantage of rather be thankful over apprerciate. Then continue on to understand what this new life in him is by the resurrection,
We are written all these things so that we don't sin, and becasue one tries not to sin as you continue to say that you are trying not by God, you are still caught in your own sinful behavior, by sowing to your own flesh trying to stop it, you can't, hope you finally learn truth here as what is shown in scripture below and thus God make you perfect by his Son in what his Son past tense has already done for you and maybe you might see why Paul said nothing can seperate him form the love of God, seeing the love God gave him through God's Son Jesus Christ
Galatians 6:8For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Yes I realize this, and in your minds story that is allit was, yet in others minds stories not always so, and emotions of others a lot of the times get in the their way as I am sure you as well have experienced, and then it is not funny right?
Consideration, love and compassion for each other is what we the believers in Christ are called for
Hoping you see what I say and not in offense, nor defense, not in having to or not to, just in being who we are when born again

In my mind my response had nothing to do with you. Zero. It was the obviously artificial tone of zone's post vis-a-vis her normal persona that evoked my tongue-in-cheek remark. Sorry that offended you.

And, in case you're not aware, the tone of her post is a spinoff from another thread that spawned her Emily Post clone. Her comment was not aimed at you directly, by any means, but was just the residual effect of a force field that she just happened to wander into - http://christianchat.com/bible-disc...rels-etc-wrong-starting-them.html#post1064136
And I responded and am awaiting her answer, there are many posts that I have put out to her ands she has ignored them, such as I asked her toi find me anywhere in the New Testament, where any opf the disciples say anywhere after the death of christ to find me anywhere the Bible says to ask for forgiveness over and over every time one sins, and of coarse 1 john 1:9 is what a lot jump on and I ask where does it say to do this over and over, it says if you admit you are, have sinnes and beleive Christ came oin the flesh then you recieve the forgiveness that is from God to you. And nowhere does this say to do it over and over again
Anyways the way she wrote this was done or seemed to be done with care, and maybe with spite, I do not know, but God knows and it does not offend me, for we all are going to have to face one day why we did what we did. I just have hope for all.

Yes I sse that, I just have hope for us to actually help one another, and that seemed to come from flesh remarks to create more and I don't see you as wanting that, I guess as God he just cared too much by dying for all the wrold tocleanse all that believe through his death and then give them new life through his resurrection, people just still take advantage of this amazing gift and including have the tendancy to ignore such a great salvation and we creater our own righteousnesses, and is the reason forallthe divisions, Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am learniing a lot as I just rant on
No offense taken, just seeking for the unity in the Spirit of God not man

Homey can you give me a preach on this verse? I would like you to explain every concept of this happening to a man...
God says this.... Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Let me give you my preach and you can give me your preach... Whosoever... that means not all but defenately some. So there are people that receive this from God.... Fisrt word explained as Scripture can proof that is what that word means...

is BORN OF GOD... these people God selects HE gives a birth OF HIMSELF....

And they do not commit sin..... These people do not commit sin, they do not do sin... WOW!!!

For HIS Seed remaineth in him.... Now! the HIS SEED, has to be the WORD AND THE SPIRIT... there are two things God mentions in the Word that will fill and remain in the people that HE BORN OF HIMSELF... WORD/TRUTH and SPIRIT/HOLINESS.

This man CANNOT sin becasue HE IS BORN OF GOD AS JESUS WAS BORN OF GOD... Jesus is not the only perfect, only the FIRST to the LEVEL of GOD! Every BORN OF GOD is as perfect as God, That is what this verse teaches...

Look how god seperates the two groups of those that receive BORN OF GOD and those that do not.... 1 John 3:8... He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Easy to see for the one group Jesus destroyed sin and for the others not!!!! Easy to see and to believe. Jesus does not do half jobs.... He does it perfectly...

Cobus, Let me give you my preach. Those who are born of GOD are certainly able to sin, and sometimes do sin, but are not able to continue the practice of sin because GOD's seed in them convicts and warns them to turn away from their sin. Those who are not born of GOD are able to continue the practice of sin because they have no inward voice that restrains them.

We know whoever is born of GOD does not practice sin, but guards himself so that the wicked one doesn't touch him.

If whoever is born of GOD is unable to sin, there would be no need for him to guard himself.

James 1:12-18
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
[SUP]14 [/SUP]But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Do not err, my beloved brethren.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

We see that all begotten out of God sinneth not, but otherwise he that is begotten out of God watcheth himself, and the Punishing One clingeth-to / adhereth-to him not

James 1
But everyone is tried, being drawn-out-of [from] under his own ardor-upon [something] and lured

So, stopping sin = watching self = self-observation + self-control, noticing lusts before they "run away" with one's mind

Rick, YOU ARE GETTING THERE MY MAN!!!!!!! WOW! If you see this then you would KNOW...

Ok God speaks about a SEED that REMAIN in the ones BORN OF GOD... Is that SEED JESUS? Who is the Holy Spirit if it is not Jesus returned and will REMAIN WITH YOU ALWAYS... NOT only WITH YOU but IN YOU.....

Remember Jesus say this to the disciples....I am with you ALWAY, even to the end of the world.... HOW? He is the HOLY SPIRIT!

Now a BIG requst to all reading this.... Do not be an accepter of the person now.... Not even of yourself.... Let us look at a man that God gives HIS Spirit too.....

Obviously God cleaned that man... so the house is CLEAN AND EMPTY... ALL EVIL IS GONE!!! Now God puts HIS SPIRIT (JESUS) in that man.... Who now controls the flesh? sinning spirit, evilspirit, man spirit? NOPE... GOD'S SPIRIT... Christ Jesus is now the one that MOVES that flesh.... what it thinks, Christ Jesus' thoughts..... what it says, Christ Jesus' words.... what it does, Christ Jesus' works.... REMEMBER JESUS IS PERFECT, IN HIS FLESH AND IN THIS MAN'S FLESH....

Jesus said...
WAIT for you shall receive POWER when the Holy Spirit is come upon you... that POWER is GOD'S POWER for that person.... and it starts with the VICTORY OVER SIN.... Jesus DESTROYED sin for that man, and now EMPOWERS that man with holy and PERFECT gifts from above, AS GRANDPA noted...

Rick if Jesus is in you, YOU CANNOT BE ANYTHING LESS THAN PERFECT... As simple as that! And if a person is NOT perfect, JEsus is not there. Jesus CANNOT be imperfect. Not in HIMSELF, not in YOU, and not in ME! And whatever HE occupies is perfect INSIDE, OUTSIDE and ALWAYS!

LORD JESUS, it is I, Cobus. Who am I to even approach you in prayer? Nobody worthy, for YOU alone are worthy. Lord you said that if I draw near to You, You will draw near to me. Lord this is my best attempt to draw near to You. I pray this with ALL I have. And Lord if I have no faith, please let me believe that You will do this.

Lord Jesus, thank you for you Truth. Lord bless Ricky with YOURSELF. Please Lord let him be the first amongst us to RECEIVE YOU AND YOUR POWER. And Lord let HIM BE THE ONE THAT CAN MINISTER TO US AS ONLY YOU CAN! AMEN!

Cobus,
Thank you!
Your kind words are entrenched in my heart.
I would love to claim perfection.
But I'm a simple sinner saved by grace.
Jesus IS perfect.
I can only point to Him,
as His will is robust enough to lead us home under the sheltering wings
of God the Father who shields us forever; Amen!
Jesus IS perfect.
Yet He uses such imperfect vessels as us.
The grace of God the Father knows no boundaries.
He sent Jesus who lived a perfect life.
For who?? - - - For us who believe on His righteousness.
The perfection is in Jesus.
The faith is in Him for His perfect life and obedient death. - - -
- - - And He was raised from the dead. He defeated death!

I wholly know my redeemer lives.
And He shall stand at the last day upon the earth.

THANK YOU JESUS THAT YOU WON THE VICTORY OVER SIN AND DEATH!!!

I wonder if the better question we may ask, to understand how saved by grace works?
Is to ask the question, what perfection, the perfect is in Jesus.
The difficulty in the discussion of this thread is one keeps looking to flesh for perfection, and this is impossible.
Ill try to answer this as simply as able in Jesus.
We are saved by grace through faith, thus no longer alive in flesh, but now born again in Jesus's Spirit.
Thus we no longer are under the condemnation of sin, as Jesus became sin for us, thus the perfect became sin, bringing victory over all sin by His sacrifice, overcoming death as well to flesh.
So yes, we reside in our body, but it is now the temple for one, our life now in Jesus, His spirit!
Thus free of sin and condemnation, for when one lives in Jesus, they cannot sin, for all one does is lived and done in His Spirit.
Now I know many here say one cannot live and not sin, when one lives in flesh this is true, but when one lives in Jesus's Spirit, they do not sin.
This is why Paul spoke to being double minded, for to live in flesh is to sin and one cannot serve two masters.
That is why we live in Jesus, looking to Him always for the way, the truth and life that we are called to.
It is a matter of flesh vs spirit.
Please see, that when we live according in flesh, we are subject to the law and death, when we live in Jesus, His Spirit, we live by the law of love.
Jesus tried many times to show this during His walk here on earth, yet the saduces and pharcies could not see, as they saw only through the law and flesh.
In Jesus, we see and live in His spirit, so we are not subject to the law.
When one lives in Spirit, in Jesus Christ is Lord, we live in Him, and cannot sin.
There may continue to be debate about this,:), but if one will look to the words spoken in scripture about this, in faith, then all is known and seen in Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh.
For it is known not in flsh, but by Spirit.
Remeber always test all in Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh.
For this understanding does not come by knowladge alone, but compleatly by faith!

Faith cometh by hearing the word, and understanding comes by faith!

in Jesus, God bless

Exactly. Watch and pray so that we aren't drawn into temptation. Self-control is a fruit of the spirit.

Easy to see for the one group Jesus destroyed sin and for the others not!!!! Easy to see and to believe. Jesus does not do half jobs.... He does it perfectly...
Jesus through the Spirit of God, given to us that beleive by the resurrection of Christ on the day of Pentecost, Christ is manifested in us we have been given a new life in the Spirit, not Flesh.

No flesh, will ever please God
Romans 8:8Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
Galatians 1:10Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

The born again part of man is the Spirit that man lost given back to man, his living soul, the breath of life that God breathed into man and man became a living soul, then he lost this through the tree of evil that Adam and Eve partook of.
God through Christ offers the free gift of life back to you, me and all that will beleive God.

So yes the man that walks by the Spirit their new Spirit in and of God, yep that man can not sin. Now though as soon as that man is decievewd into walking by flesh, and many are then that man is sining.
We do not have redeemed bodies here right now. So as Ihave said many times we are thus to
Romans 6:11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Revelation 1:5and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood
So in conclusion, one does not ever sin again by God's Spirit living in us, as long as we see itis by this and die daily to sinful flesh, thus we be alive then daily in God's Spirit where no sin can occur, becasue all sin has been condemned to flesh
Romans 8:3For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh,

So this is written to you, me and all to learn to walk by the Spirit of God, forsaking the flesh reckoning it dead daily and seeing you a new alive in the Spirit of God and hiding there in him so that we will not sin against God
So see this
Galatians 5:16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Ephesians 2:2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Romans 8:4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

So the fight today is to either walk after the Spirit of God or selfish flesh!
And a lot are walking in flesh, and proof is if they are still sinning, because no soin today can occur anyway else sinice all sin is condemened to flesh.
So I personally choose to be dead to sinful selfish flesh daily and alive to God daily by Faoith in God according to the word of God.
Now since I can't predict any future, I die daily, and I do not know if or when I ever might walk in the flesh. I know instantaneously, I have gotten angered before I could even think about it, an automatic response to someopne or something that took place in an instant. Now fortuantely and not proudly or being boastful, I have not reacted that way for awhile, but this does not mean I could not ever act that way again, because I know as Paul whenever I think I know something or act as if I got it all together, here comes a messenger of Satan to buffet me, to return me to humility.
Hoping you are getting this Cobus, bottom line GOD JUST LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, respond to God over that
[h=3]1 John 2:1-2[/h]King James Version (KJV)

2 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 2:12
I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

Respond to that verse above, and you might be so busy praising God for what you see God has done that in being so busy there has been no time for sin. There is no occasion thus by this praise and worship for flesh to even enter, you thus have past from death to life.
Galatians 6:8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting
Stay thinking and thanking God and there is no time for flesh, just keep thinkking about quitting sining and even though you wish to quit it you won't and so far Cobus this is exactly how you have gotten trapped
I was there and now see the fight, between my Flesh that is not redeemed here on earth, and the resurrected Christ that is raised in the Spirit, and this is where God placed us those that beleive God.
So this is what remainsdo you beleive God? Do you believe God is this Merciful to you personally that God would go to the death first for you, so God can give you new life in the resurrection?
Praying for you to see through and learn to walk by the new man your inner man tha tPaul said is the only way one serves God
Ephesians 3:16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

It seems to me Cobus that you might be born again and not know it,
Tell me if God put your enemy in front of you as he did with King David, he put Saul in front of him ans said here you can kill him being your enemy. David said no he could not do it and had the opportunty to do so. Can you do waht David said he could not do?
Also David did get caught up in the lust as when he saw Bathsheba bathing and it turned out she got pregnant and he was King, and ran hiding as alot of people do and even went as far as to have her husband be killed not by his hands but by putting him on the front line of war.
David repented and was sorry to God, And it seems by all your postings you are as well, and have seen changes in yourself, could this not be God leading you and teaching you.
Yuor Spirit knows because God's Spirit testifies to you. So can you harm your neighbor when the rubber hits the road, you know those ones that have taken advantage of your kindness that have stolen from you.
