I wonder if the better question we may ask, to understand how saved by grace works?
Is to ask the question, what perfection, the perfect is in Jesus.
The difficulty in the discussion of this thread is one keeps looking to flesh for perfection, and this is impossible.
Ill try to answer this as simply as able in Jesus.
We are saved by grace through faith, thus no longer alive in flesh, but now born again in Jesus's Spirit.
Thus we no longer are under the condemnation of sin, as Jesus became sin for us, thus the perfect became sin, bringing victory over all sin by His sacrifice, overcoming death as well to flesh.
So yes, we reside in our body, but it is now the temple for one, our life now in Jesus, His spirit!
Thus free of sin and condemnation, for when one lives in Jesus, they cannot sin, for all one does is lived and done in His Spirit.
Now I know many here say one cannot live and not sin, when one lives in flesh this is true, but when one lives in Jesus's Spirit, they do not sin.
This is why Paul spoke to being double minded, for to live in flesh is to sin and one cannot serve two masters.
That is why we live in Jesus, looking to Him always for the way, the truth and life that we are called to.
It is a matter of flesh vs spirit.
Please see, that when we live according in flesh, we are subject to the law and death, when we live in Jesus, His Spirit, we live by the law of love.
Jesus tried many times to show this during His walk here on earth, yet the saduces and pharcies could not see, as they saw only through the law and flesh.
In Jesus, we see and live in His spirit, so we are not subject to the law.
When one lives in Spirit, in Jesus Christ is Lord, we live in Him, and cannot sin.
There may continue to be debate about this,
, but if one will look to the words spoken in scripture about this, in faith, then all is known and seen in Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh.
For it is known not in flsh, but by Spirit.
Remeber always test all in Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh.
For this understanding does not come by knowladge alone, but compleatly by faith!
Faith cometh by hearing the word, and understanding comes by faith!
in Jesus, God bless
