There is not a single place in scripture which states that "the heart of the earth" is "hades".

"One day the beggar died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. And the rich man also died and was buried. In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham from afar, with Lazarus by his side."

"And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to heaven? No, you will be brought [down] to Hades! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day."

In the scripture above, Jesus identifies the location of Hades has being down, i.e. under the earth, which is the place of departed spirits. Philippians and Revelation also makes reference to Hades being under the earth:

"Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name above all names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth" - Phil.2:10

"But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or look inside it." - Rev.5:3

"And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying" - Rev.5:13

Under the earth is referring to those in Sheol/Hades

"For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

In the scripture above, the reference to being in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights refers to both His body being in the tomb and His spirit being in Hades.

" Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!”

And Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

How could Jesus promise the thief crucified next to him that he would with Him in paradise the very same day that they both died? Sheol and Hades are referring to the same place under the earth. Prior to the Lord being crucified, there were two comparts that made up Sheol/Hades, which was separated by a great chasm. On one side was the place where Abraham and Lazarus were which was a place of comfort/paradise. And on the other side of the chasm was a place of torment in flame, which is where the rich man went and is still there till this very day. It was that place of comfort/paradise that the spirit of Jesus and the thief went to after they died. Since that time, everyone who dies in the Lord, their spirit departs and goes to be in the presence of the Lord in heaven. Those who die without Christ, their spirits depart and go to that place of torment in Hades where they will be resurrected and their spirits let out of Hades at the great white throne judgment, where they will then be cast into the eternal place of punishment which is the lake of fire.

hádēs (from 1 /A "not" and idein/eidō, "see") – properly, the "unseen place," referring to the (invisible) realm in which all the dead reside, i.e. the present dwelling place of all the departed (deceased); Hades.
==================================================

The Great White Throne Judgment

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done.

Hey, I've got a question:

Then why weren't they? I mean, if all God had to do was perform some miracles and that would save Sodom, and God is a compassionate, merciful God, then why not do it?

Right.

And this [occurring on the earth] comes AFTER the scene in chpt 4 [UP IN Heaven] that shows:
If you are saying that the sealing of the 144,000 takes place in heaven, it does not. The sealing of the 144,000 does not take place in heaven, but are sealed while they are upon the earth. We know this because at the sounding of the 5th trumpet, those demonic locusts who come up out of the Abyss are told to torment only those who do not have the seal of God in their foreheads. Since this plague of wrath takes place on the earth, then it reveals that the 144,000 will be on the earth at that time. They are referred to as servants and therefore must be performing some type of evangelism during the first 3 1/2 years of that seven year period.

The woman of Revelation 12 who is clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and wearing a crown of twelve stars is identified through Genesis 37:9-10, as figuratively representing the nation Israel. The woman is said to be pregnant, which because the woman is not a literal woman, neither is she giving literal birth. The reference to her giving birth is referring to the Male Child which is a collective name representing the 144,000 who will be Israelites who will recognize Jesus as their Messiah and who will be caught up to God and His throne in the middle of the seven years before the dragon/Satan can kill them.

--[John being told, 4:1] "and I will SHEW thee what must take place after these [things]" (compare wording with 1:1 and 1:19c! The "FUTURE" aspects of the Book, that "must come to pass IN QUICKNESS [NOUN]" 1:1);
Revelation 1:19 is the key to understanding the chronology of Revelation. Regarding this, John is told to write:

What you have seen = Everything written from Rev.1-1 thru Rev.1-19

What is now = Represented by the letters to the seven churches, also presenting the entire church period

What will take place later = What will take place after the 'what is now,' i.e. what will take place after the church period

That said, we are currently still living in the "what is now" part of what John was told to write. Once the church has been gathered (ending the church period) then the "what must take place later" will begin, which consists of God's wrath via the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments and all related information and events leading up to when the Lord returns to the earth to end the age. It is not until the after the seventh bowl has been poured out that Jesus returns to the earth.

There will be a millennial reign of Christ on earth, and then this heaven and earth shall pass away, and there will be a new heaven and earth, the New Jerusalem.

The disciples asked Jesus if He was going to restore the kingdom to Israel at that time, and He said the Father will do it in the future, but be concerned with preaching the Gospel.

God said that He will set His glory among the heathen, and the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went in to captivity for their sins and iniquities against God, but after the Jews borne their shame then God will bring all of the Jews out of the Gentile nations, and bring them to Israel, and turn them to the truth that Jesus is their Lord and Savior, and they will know the LORD their God from that time forward, and He will never hide His face from them again, which they will be in the truth from that time forward, and never stray again.

Which this has to be the future for Israel is not in the truth.

God said that He will make a full and of all Gentile nations, their ruling governments, but He will not make a full end of Israel, but punish them in part

Since God is going to restore the kingdom to Israel then they will have to be operating for a time on earth which is during the millennial reign.

The Bible says that the LORD shall be King over all the earth, and in that day there shall be one LORD, and His name one, which the heathen shall not acknowledge any religious leader, or god, but Jesus.

Which at that time people will not fight with people, animals will not fight with animals, and be plant eaters, and animals and people will not fear each other, and at that time a little child can lead the most ferocious animal on the planet today and that animal will have no desire to hurt the child.

And the knowledge of the LORD shall fill the whole earth as the waters cover the seas.

And the heathen that God spared when He defeated the world have to go up year after year to Jerusalem to worship Jesus as He rules on the throne of David out of Jerusalem.

Jesus said that one jot or tittle shall in no wise pass from the law until all is fulfilled.

Which Jesus is a sinless man, and had to fulfill all the roles of Israel.

But Jesus has not fulfilled the role of perfect King on earth yet, and it must be done on earth.

So Jesus will fulfill that role in the millennial reign, and when the millennial reign is over then heaven and earth shall pass away.

The saints will then go to the place that Jesus created the New Jerusalem, where sin has never been, and sin will never be, and the saints and angels will remember nothing prior to that, and will feel as if they have always been there and nowhere else.

Israel is blinded in part until salvation is no longer available to the Gentiles, and so all Israel shall be saved.

The New Age Christ will establish peace in the Middle East between the Jews and Palestinians, and it will pave the way for all Jews to go to Israel for the Gentile nations will cause it to happen, and the New Age Christ wants them all back on their land, but God means it for good towards the Jews.

When the world takes the mark of the beast, which will be a microchip under the skin linked to satellite, the biometric system that President Trump introduced that can cut down on crime, and locate people, then salvation is no longer available to them.

God will then send Israel 2 witnesses to Israel to turn them to the truth that Jesus is their Lord and Savior.
There will be no future Millennium on this earth.

Jesus Christ appears immediately after the tribulation in final judgement of all, as the eternal kingdom in the New Heaven, Earth, and Jerusalem will be revealed for eternity.

Final Judgement Takes Place At The Appearance Of Jesus Christ

As simple as it gets, when Jesus Christ appears, the final judgement of "All" takes place.

The Quick = The Saved Righteous

The Dead = The Unsaved Wicked

2 Timothy 4:1KJV
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

As simple as it gets, Jesus Christ appears, immediately after the future tribulation, as the final judgement of "All" takes place.

Matthew 24:29-30KJV
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

No. I am not saying that.

I'm saying the 144,000 are ON THE EARTH, and after the scene in Rev4 and 5 takes place IN HEAVEN (the 144,000 are not shown there in that chpt4-5 scene... some others ARE! ;) )

And when you show them the scriptures revealing the New Jerusalem our eternal home coming down out of heaven well they simply ignore that scripture.. Or they desperately try to symbolize any scripture that conflicts with their doctrines to force it to say something else..

No. That is Jesuit Futurism.

144,000 are a specific group of Christians, as specified in the prophecy.

144,000 = 12 x 12 x 1000.

1000 = 10 x 10 x 10

12 = symbolically (service):
“of 12” – Service, Victory over self (Israel; OT – 12 patriarchs & NT – 12 disciples/apostles; prince or overcomer with God) and always being about the Father’s business, rulership (Est. 9:1; as the 12 hours in the day/night; Jhn. 11:9), purification (Est. 2:12), and 6 + 6 were the two stacks of the shewbread, a place for the Father and Son (Lev. 24:5-6); see: Gen. 14:4, 42:13; 1 Ki. 4:7, 18:31; 1 Chr. 25:6,9-31; 2 Chr. 34:3; Neh. 5:14; Eze. 47:12; Mat. 10:5-10; Mar. 3:14-15, 9:35; Luk. 2:42,49, 9:1-2; Jhn. 18:36; Act. 26:7; Jam. 1:1; Rev. 7:3,4-8, 22:2.

10 = symbolically (wholeness), for instance see Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, etc.

Revelation 7 - Names in Specifically Given Order:

Judah = “Jew” = “I Will Praise The Lord” (Genesis 29:35)
Genesis 29:35 And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.
Reuben = “Behold A Son” = “He Has Looked On Me” (Genesis 29:32)
Genesis 29:32 And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me.
Gad = “Troop” = “Given Good Fortune” (Genesis 30:11, 49:19) (a troop is a band of persons who brings (back) wealth/fortune through conquering others, or those who overcame others victoriously bringing back spoils/fortune/wealth, etc)
Genesis 30:11 And Leah said, A troop cometh: and she called his name Gad.
Genesis 49:19 Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.
Asher = “Happy” = “Happy Am I” (Genesis 30:13)
Genesis 30:13 And Leah said, Happy am I, for the daughters will call me blessed: and she called his name Asher.
Naphtali = “Wrestling” = “My Wrestling” (Genesis 30:8)
Genesis 30:8 And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.
Manasseh = “Causing To Forget” = “Is Making Me To Forget” (Genesis 41:51)
Genesis 41:51 And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, (said he), hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house.
Simeon = “Heard” = “God Hears Me” (Genesis 29:33)
Genesis 29:33 And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD hath heard that I (was) hated, he hath therefore given me this (son) also: and she called his name Simeon.
Levi ** = “Joined To” = “Is Attached To Me” (Genesis 29:34)
Genesis 29:34 And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi.
Issachar = “There Is Recompense” = “He Has Purchased Me” (Genesis 30:18)
Genesis 30:18 And Leah said, God hath given me my hire, because I have given my maiden to my husband: and she called his name Issachar.
Zebulun = “Exalted” = “A Dwelling” (Genesis 30:20)
Genesis 30:20 And Leah said, God hath endued me (with) a good dowry; now will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons: and she called his name Zebulun.
Ephraim * = “Double Ash Heap” = “I Shall Be Doubly Fruitful” (Genesis 41:52)
Genesis 41:52 And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.
Joseph = “Jehovah Was Added” = “God Will Add To Me” (Genesis 30:24)
Genesis 30:24 And she called his name Joseph; and said, The LORD shall add to me another son
Benjamin = “Son Of The Right Hand” = “Son Of His Right Hand” (Genesis 35:17-18)
Genesis 35:17 And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.
Genesis 35:18 And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin.
Dan * = “A Judge” (Genesis 30:6)
Genesis 30:6 And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.
And therefore, by the special list given in Revelation (Juda, Reuben, Gad, Aser, Nepthalim, Manasses, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, Zabulon, Joseph, Benjamin) it is seen that the meaning is:

I Will Praise The LORD {JEHOVAH} (Judah) (for) He Has Looked On Me (Reuben) (and) Granted Good Fortune (Gad). Happy Am I (Asher) (because) My Wrestling (Naphtali), God Is Making Me To Forget (Manasseh). God Hears Me (Simeon) (and) Is Attached To Me (Levi). He has Purchased Me (Issachar) A Dwelling (Zebulun) (and) Will Add To Me (Joseph) The Son Of His Right Hand (Benjamin).
Or (my favorite)

Now I Will Praise The LORD {JEHOVAH} (Judah) (for) Surely The LORD Hath Looked Upon My Affliction (Reuben) (and) Granted Good Fortune (Gad) (therefore) Happy Am I (Asher) (even though) With Great Wrestlings Have I Wrestled (Naphtali) (but) God Is Making Me To Forget All My Toil (Manasseh) (for) the LORD Hath Heard Me (Simeon) (being) Joined Unto Me (Levi) (and) He Has Purchased Me (Issachar) (wanting) To Dwell With Me (Zebulun) (and) The LORD Shall Add To Me (Joseph) (also) The Son Of His Right Hand (Benjamin).
Yes all of the words have a meaning attached .That way when rightly dividing the parables the gospel understanding can be sought out .

The 144,000 a number no man could count= all of the redeemed (the golden measure. 1 = 1000 a unknow ) It must be applied. The formula of the literal measure of men is. 1 = 1.

David used the measure of man rather than trusting the gospel measure. Many died .We walk by faith not after signs with lying wonders .No sign was given that we could seek after. That is for the evil generation.

2 Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

We are not of them of the number but rather those of the faith (the unseen will) The 144,0000 simply represent the bride of Christ made up of old testament saint as (Gates) and new testament saints as (Walls) of the city prepared as the one bride of Christ. A perfect picture of the chase virgin bride in Revelation 12 . Describes her to the T

Revelation 12 King James Version (KJV) And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

A person would have to decide which earth?. Two where created in the one beginning.

The corrupted seen in which Christians are reigning with Christ, having there citizenship not of here .

Corruption death will not put on sheep skin over the wolf .A new creation.

Nothing about the old corrupted will come to mind. It will be like it was never created.

Actually, "quick" refers simply to "living". Jesus will judge those still living at that time, and those already dead. It has nothing to do with their soteriological status. It's simply an archaic meaning of the word.

I don't know what you've been reading, but the Bible states clearly that God created the heavens (plural) and the earth (singular).

There is no need to interpret the parables to understand the gospel; the gospel is presented clearly in the plain text of Scripture.

So then it will be reconditioned, rebuilt. The old things will be remembered (nothing changes) ?

What happens to the corrupted rudiments flesh and blood (DNA?)

The new heaven will include the new earth. (dwelling place of the new creation placed in the heavens.

You said there were two earths at the one beginning. Are you recanting that statement, or are you just dodging and changing the subject to avoid admitting your error?

You keep forgetting. Parable as prophecy hide the gospel understanding. Teaching us how to walk by a faith that works in us rightly dividing the parables . Over and over he hid the understanding talking to Apostles as little children by the hand of faith. Teaching them how they can hear God not seen . ( 2 Corinthians 4:18 . the key that unlocks the mysteries) .

No need to wonder and fall backward.

One time while still stuck in a wonderful, self edifying wonderment . They literally looked at Jesus and the parable sounded like goblygob (baby talk) and decided to vote and look for a real Democratic alpha Dog .

Luke 9:43-48 And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered (not heard the gospel understanding) every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples, Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men. But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest. And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him, And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

All the days of their lives their faith increased as the understanding was made known. Great teaching tool.

Literalizing them simply shows another manner of spirit other than walking by faith .(the anti-faith. . spirit of the anti-christ. another kind of teacher

Luke 9:55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

Again, Satan is unleashed, and there is war. Earth or no earth. You seem overly focused on people returning to earth after they die, but if you are going to simply read the book for what it says, then the rest of the Bible repeatedly says that believers' tribulation is over for good once this life is over.

That's not "desperately trying to symbolize Scripture to say whatever they want". That's genuinely understanding what John and God are really saying, that they really are speaking symbolically, but that the object of that symbolism is very much real.

I respect your views, but I see this subject differently, according to the scriptures. Christians aren't able to agree on all spiritual doctrines - I can see that. But as always, the most important thing in life is to know the way of salvation and to be living according to it unhypocritically, in daily life - so that one is sure to end up living with God for all eternity. Those who don't do so, will sadly end up in hell - a terrible place, to end up in!

Thank you for your reply and your courtesy. In my posting, Jerusalem was just one point of many, and I did not expand much on it. You would be surprised how close we are. I am not sure how you view prophecy, but it is interesting to note that all prophecy that has been fulfilled up to now, has been fulfilled literally and accurately. If that be the case, I think that we can be reasonably sure that the remainder will be fulfilled literally and accurately. I can't think of any mention of Jerusalem from Genesis to the end of 2nd Corinthians that alludes to anything else than the physical, literal city in Canaan.

But you are correct in the New Testament about Jerusalem being symbolic. Jerusalem as a symbol appears in SIX verses - Galatians 4:25-26, Hebrews 12:22, Revelation 3:12, 21:2, 10. And the symbolism is rich. But, I fear that we will derail the thread if we start on it.

God bless.
You're right, that all some Bible prophecies have come true. But the Jews didn't always understand ahead of time, exactly what they referred to or when. At least not as regards to the prophecies about Jesus' birth, and about how Jesus would die on the cross for the world. I won't be surprised if not all Christians will correctly understand end time Bible prophecies, either, before they happen. But at least they'll all share a happy eternity with God, if they've served Him sincerely in this life.

I see you are aware of the city, Jerusalem, as also being symbolic of the heavenly kind, in some verses of the Bible. As you say, there aren't many that speak of Jerusalem in the spiritual sense of the word, throughout Genesis to the end of II Corinthians. But I thought of one that refers to it, I believe, though the verse doesn't call it "Jerusalem.'

Ps 23:6
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
KJV
God bless you too!

When I think of a heavenly city, Jerusalem doesn't exactly come to mind, anyway. Flam, Norway: now THAT is heavenly. Haifa is nicer than Jerusalem.
