I think this principle also applies to the Gentile people of antiquity that followed the Law in their hearts, spoken of in Romans. Jesus
went to preach the Gospel to them in Hades, and I believe they are saved.
They received Christ after they died. What's to say that this could not happen again?
Obviously not for one who has rejected Christ in this life, but for those who have not had the chance to choose.
Like the billions upon billions of Chinese peoples.

Nothing that I can see.

Now Grace churches, and churches that claim to follow hypergrace do have different doctrines outside of the gospel Which they disagree with.
a few years back every other thread was a "hypergrace" type thread. to me it was just another "ism" that i mostly have no interest in. we got a whole sticky on it and they dont even say what it is.

Hi eternally-grateful, :)

Yes, I do believe it is possible for Jesus to get lost souls out of hell because Jesus has the keys to hell and death. No one can cross the great gulf or chasm that Father Abraham talked about in Luke 16:20-31, but I do believe Jesus can and does!

Revelation 1:18 King James Version (KJV)
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
..."keys to hell and death"......has a different meaning; Christ offers us being saved from both....not retrieved from both once declared by G-d's judgement.

No. I am not saying there is more than one way.
God having a relationship with someone in an isolated situation is not "a way".
Ok then we are in agreement..The only Way to eternity with God is by believing Jesus and accepting the Atonement Jesus secured for our salvation.. (y)

I knew a good Muslim years ago that acted more Christians than most Christians I knew at the time. I met a good Hindu once also. My wife and I were out of town and looking for a church to attend one morning. I did a google search but while the address for the church (Christian) was correct the church was now a Hindu temple. We went in anyway, met a nice Hindu man who ran the place, took off our shoes, did a prayer, and gave the guy a small donation. He was thankful and gave us each an apple and a small portion of tea. Very interesting experience.
I would never have done that.. But you are free to do as you will..

Yes, I agree that is the only "Way". In fact we are know as being a part of "the Way".
So, no worries, I totally get it. But hopefully you grasp the other point I was making.
Which has nothing to do with a "way". Because it is NOT a "way".

Acts 9:1-3
Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest 2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. 3 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.

Acts 19:9
But some of them became obstinate; they refused to believe and publicly maligned the Way. So Paul left them. He took the disciples with him and had discussions daily in the lecture hall of Tyrannus.

Acts 19:23
About that time there arose a great disturbance about the Way.

Acts 24:14
However, I admit that I worship the God of our ancestors as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect. I believe everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets,

Acts 24:22
Then Felix, who was well acquainted with the Way, adjourned the proceedings. “When Lysias the commander comes,” he said, “I will decide your case.”

I believe that when the Holy Spirit prods you to do a work you should take action and attempt to accomplish the task at hand. The way I operate is to make a sincere effort to humbly serve the lord by performing the work that my Heavenly Father has prepared for me to accomplish in His name beforehand. At times I fail miserably but other times, by the grace of God and I succeed.

I understand also that each person is unique in how they chose to live their lives in their service to the Lord, and as such, you are free to do as you will. I pray that this Hindu man, by the actions of my wife and myself accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. if not him then perhaps someone in his family. Really, that's what it is all about.

To heal the sick you have to stop preaching to the choir and go where the sick people are. That's just the way it is.

Read the parrable of the Lazarus.. Abraham and Lazarus where not suffering..
The question was, what happened to the patriarchs of the OT when they died prior to NT Jesus.

Not sure what these verses have to do with the topic??

I shared the scriptures because I thought it was interesting that the early believers were considered part of what they called "the Way". This came to mind when I saw that you were capitalizing "Way". Just sharing, not a rebuttal.

What then happened when they died prior to the new testament Savior's sacrifice in that regard?
I'm glad to see that you understand this as a valid question.
I haven't been able to get much traction with it here. It seems incomprehensible to most here to even ask such a question.
They can't seem to imagine a world outside of Christianity, or fathom a time before the offering of grace through Christ. I wonder if even today God has his own dear children that are in an isolated situation completely removed from any offering of grace through typical means. And that their names have been written in the Lamb's Book of Life, even though they have no idea what that even is.

God chooses his own.
Moses had his burning bush experience and Abram was called to leave the Ur of the Chaldees.
Neither of these had any knowledge about Christ.

Nope. Not so. There is only one Way. (capital "W")
