I seriously doubt while Yeshua was dying on the CROSS, He thought to Himself, I better say Eli Eli lama sabachthani? so I can quote David in the Book of Psalms.

It's ludicrous to believe such a thing!!

you don't believe Yeshua is God, do you?

God is in control, not helpless, lost, confused and afraid. eternally.

it is no accident He sang Psalm 22 in a loud voice at exactly that moment. He did this for a perfect purpose. He saves someone by it: that is what He does; hear His name! :)

I am sure that this is true but Jesus did ask the Father to forgive them because they know not what they do. Hopefully, everyone that Jesus was referring to eventually confessed their sins and asked for forgiveness.
Yes and he asked from the cross, so Jesus knew his father never forsook him. It's those who have faith in his blood (that is his life Gen.9:4) which he poured out, that will be saved.

A few times Jesus showed his humanity, IMO what he said on the cross is an example as well. like when he sweated blood figuratively speaking, on the cross why is this happening figuratively speaking.
I heard one guy who said Jesus sweated blood because he was afraid. I don't believe that. I think it's possible Satan was trying to get Jesus to destroy the poeople who were coming to arrest him. Jesus could easily have killed the people who wanted to hurt him, but he chose not to.

Scripture does tell us that Christ became sin for us, who knew no sin. The sins of the world were placed upon His body. Holy God cannot look at sin, even the sin placed upon His Son.

Habakkuk 1:13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not kitten ok on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
If Jesus became SIN, how is He a sacrifice then for our sin?
He was a spotless, sinless sacrifice, the Lamb of God.
He became a SACRIFICE for our SIN.

It's not my opinion, but the word of God.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Your first sentence makes no sense and is contrary to what is clearly and explicitly stated in scripture.

Of course He did for a specific purpose, but that purpose was not because David prophesied it. It was to show that even Yahweh will turn His head to His own Son, when He represents sin. When we see this, it gives us a better idea of how God will cast billions into the Lake of fire for all Eternity!!

I am sorry to see that you have decided to leave the site. It is like a death in the family. I will sorely miss your insightful and often times amusing posts. You are correct in Jesus showed His humanity in a way that we can relate to. Jesus wept.

i do not think that the purpose of the fulfillment of any prophesy is merely 'to fulfill it'

I don't think that God is going to cast anyone in the lake of fire for all of eternity. It is God's will and desire that all shall be saved. It says this in the bible.

John146 Not suggesting it's your opinion. But sometimes a verse has more than what meets the eye.
Not accusing you. My apologies.

God can't forsake himself. Not even for a micro second.

[[To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David.]] My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? Psa.22:1

It's a question Jesus knew the answer to very well and had nothing to do with him actually being abandoned.

Yes. What better time to attack the Lord than a time of injustice?
