So "twist and shout" all you want.
They will "because" they "got the devil in their heart". Theve got to "get back". Don't play "the fool on the hill" and don't be saying "ill follow the sun"

God says we are not to eat unclean meats. So,, while you seem to think you are cute by eating that which God said not to eat,, you make yourself to be haughty towards God and His dietary laws. So go ahead and stick your finger in God's eye, perhaps a dose of cancer will changfe your mind.
Bacon is unclean?

Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day-- Col. 216

"By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." John 13:35

14 I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself, but it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean. Romans 14:14

What do you think of this verse?

Do you still want to pour new wine in an old wine skin?

Matthew 19:17 KJV
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

John 14:15 KJV
If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 15:10 KJV
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

1 John 2:3 KJV
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

1 John 3:22 KJV
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

1 John 5:2 KJV
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

1 John 5:3 KJV
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Revelation 12:17 KJV
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 14:12 KJV
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

This is overwhelming evidence that the Bible says we are to keep the commandments. To say we do not have to keep the commandments is teaching against the clear word of God. The fact that we are saved by grace through faith does not release us from keeping the law.

Philippians 4:13 KJV
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
John 15:4-5 KJV
(4) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
(5) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
by all means
if that is how you will be justified
before a God who sent a sinless Son to fulfill.

Actually, I can eat pork guilt free, according to the bible. In fact the bible says no one is to judge me on what I eat or drink or when I chose to worship.
Dan,, if a family member dies,,under your theology, it would be perfectly fine to eat them,,,,given that you pray over them and accept them with thanksgiving to God,,, right? Guiltfree, cause,, like you said, nobody is to judge you on what you eat,, right?

Do you really think you are discerning God's word properly?

According to my theology... it all depends on the family member.

I am shocked and saddened that you would stoop so low as to bring up my eating family members in a debate over dietary law. You should be ashamed, if not mortified by what you have said. For you to even suggest this goes well beyond the confines of our social/moral taboos. For you to even suggesting that I eat my family members might even be criminal.

I suggest you apologize for your hurtful comments of me eating my family members and I suggest that you might consider seeing a professional psychologist if you think this sort of topic is one that interests you.

Dan,, you've sat here and made your spiteful comments and even said you have a "blissful smile" while eating pork.. So,, It seems you can dish it out just fine. but taking it ,, you don't do so well.

Nobody insulted you. I didn't tell you to eat YOUR DEAD FAMILY MEMBERS.. I simply suggested that it would be perfectly okay under your theology. I stand by it. You are the one that said you can eat what ever you want. So go ahead. I'm not stopping you.

Remember, to be offended,, one has to first CHOOSE to be offended. Did you choose to be offended? You sure didn't mind offending those who do not eat meat,, did ya?

No apology will be coming from me. I didn't sin against you. You just got offended because I showed you in Terms you cannot ignore,, that God has a Diet that he wants us to comply with,, for our own good. So,, if you think you can eat what you want,, then explain with the Bible scripture,, why WE (you too) can Eat our dead family members?????

I am MAGNIFYING your lack of understanding about Gods Dietary laws when I used Dead people as an example!! So don't take offense where none was meant!

Zone this thread is not about SDA it is about keeping the commandments which the Bible says we are to keep. The Bible says we are to surrender to God every day and by doing that we become servants of obedience.

Romans 6:16
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

By surrender to God we become servants of obedience. How often do we need to surrender to God?

1 Corinthians 15:31
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

According to this we need to die daily. The law is like a mirror that points out sin. When we look into the mirror and see stains do we go for cleansing and then walk in His law?

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

According to these texts God's people will:-
1. Keep the commandments of God
2. Have the testimony of Jesus
3. Have the faith of Jesus

It must be noted that none of this is about us, it is about Christ. They are His commandments, His testimony and His faith.

Peace be with you, friends when JESUS begin from the sermon on the mount in Matthew 5 and onwards, what did we listen and paid attention to?
Wasn't HE pouring the new wine (New Covenant teachings and instructions form GOD) into the new wine bags (those who turn back in true repentance and were baptized and had faith and continued with the MESSIAH)
Didn't HE use the term of 'do' and 'do not'? Isn't this the same term used in GOD's Ten Commandments?
JESUS taught; 'You were taught by your ancestors or taught of the old but I tell you..........................'
JESUS was giving the full meaning of the Old in the New which HE imparted in us Words of spirit and life to be that spirit man and women, born from above, of GOD in the likeness of CHRIST, as the witness and expression of the Kingdom of GOD here on earth.
JESUS also said; 'Those who hear and practice these teachings of mine............................... and those who hear and not practice them...........................'
HE is talking about consequences failing to do so, for the test will come on every house to test it's foundation.
Even to the Jews who had faith in HIM, HE concluded; 'If you abide in my Words ...................................................you will know the truth and the truth will set you free'
'Abide in My Words and love for one another then you shall bear fruit.'
'Apart from ME (My Words and love) you can do nothing.'
'....................and your fruit (those who are put in your care) must abide.'
Friends, those who are of spirit and truth know this is all from and in the Gospel and anyone who have not welcome them and those who are with them, into their lives are in for trouble from GOD.
Apostle Paul said; 'GOD will send a strong delusion on those who have not welcome the Gospel, instead of believing in the truth they would believe a lie.'
'Even the very elect shall be deceived.'
The LORD reminded me that people may think they will not live to face such a day but if they fail to know and to share to the future generation about these things and many other things that are spirit and life of the FATHER will be accountable for their ignorance allowing HIS lambs and sheeps to be not fed enough and perish on such day to come which is to deceive many.
A Covenant is similar to a contract. Contract are renewed to make work excel and grow and to achieve. They do come with the terms and conditions and rules and regulations from one dominating party to another who seek favor. Upon agreement by both parties it comes into effect.
May GOD the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST forgive us and bless us and help us in Words of spirit and life of the New Covenant to excel.

Who in the forum believes anyone will be justified by disobedience? Foolhearty? Yes. Thought by many? Yes.

Yeshua is our Example. The simple solution is to conduct oneself as He. No amount of misinterpretation of the Word can harm anyone who follows His Way.

Satan is the only one who believes he has a chance of getting what he wants thru disobedience.
Foolhardy?---yes. Thought by many?---No.

Mat 7:12
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Mat 7:13
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

That depends on what you call law. The jews call 613 Mitzvot the law. Which includes tying boxes to your forehead and hand. Do you believe in doing this?

Exactly, when it comes to obedience to God, most need to sit down and have a discussion and a reasoning session instead of just saying yes. If God told you to stand on one foot, turn your head to the left and spit through your teeth, what would your response be?

Isa 20:2 At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.
Isa 20:3 And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;
Isa 20:4 So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.

Of course, Isaiah obeyed without even a flinch.

I would do what ever God asked me to do.
