I stand on what Jesus said about the law. Has heaven and earth disappeared? Has the rapture happened? Are you setting aside the law?

Matthew 5:13 to 20 NIV

Salt and Light
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

The Fulfillment of the Law
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

You arent rightly dividing the scriptures. All that is said in the law and the prophets concerning the perfect One, Messiah, has been completed in Jesus. Now, He is the First Fruits of a new generation of a Spiritual led race of people. Made up of all nations who have been born of the heavenly seed. We all are one in Him, and unified in His body.

Do not diminish the work that Jesus has done, nor the work of Holy Spirit in the world since His ascension until now. For our human nature that wants to declare something good about itself will never stand before the Holiness of Father. Only His Holiness that we are clothed in will give us that right to boldly come before Him.

Your protection is His blood endoscopy. So in faith, put on Jesus Christ, the Righteous and learn of Him what it means to be a Son in this realm.

Only His work will remain and your righteousness being of Him will be greater than of the Pharisees and scribes.

2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Good Morning Endoscopy, not understanding your point; "New and better covenant", Hebrews 8:6, believer's are now 'Under Grace', not law. The law is not abolished 'it is established and fulfilled in Christ Jesus.' Not confusing, the Law led us to Christ. Nothing has been, "set aside"

"Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes." Romans10:4

So we have to obey the 613?
Lawyers and Pharisees will be lawyers and Pharisees......they, in ignorance lay burdens upon men that they themselves cannot even begin to carry or keep......the law deems guilt...no one keeps it....all who say they do....lie which breaks the law yet again!

No offence...you don't keep the law....so...no matter how much you push it you still fail every day.....Moses gave the law, failed and was killed by God.....Grace and Truth came by Jesus.....what you push and serve is weak through the flesh...you will never meet God's standard no matter how much you try by your supposed law keeping.....wake up to grace, mercy and TRUTH WHICH CAME BY JESUS.....as opposed to that which deems you guilty given by MOSES!

Talking about liars, oops sorry mean lawyers
Matthew 22:34-40
The Scribes: Which Is the First Commandment of All?
34 But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together.
35 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying,
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”
37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

I have read the 613.
The 613 given to the Hebrews.

apparently there are 248 positive commands and 365 negative ones.

Are we exempt from all 613?

I would say no.
The ones that relate to the 10 commandments we are not exempt from.
That being the case the ones we are exempt from are those given to the Hebrews and those added by men.

I don't know about anyone else but there is no way I could keep 613, I struggle with the 2 that Jesus said.

One thing I do know is that because of Jesus and through Jesus and in Jesus I believe.

1 John 3:23
23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

1 John 1:8-10, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us."

Then because I do sin does that mean I should then reject every Command of YHWH?

1 John 5:2-3, "By this we know that we love the children of Yah, when we love Yah and guard His commands. For this is the love for Yah, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy."

or should I:

Exodus 20:6, "But showing love to thousands who love Me by keeping My Laws."

Deuteronomy 6:5, “And you shall love יהוה your Strength with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might.”

1 Yahanan 5:2-3, "By this we know that we love the children of YHWH: When we love YHWH by keeping His Laws. For this is the love of YHWH: That we keep His Law, and His Law is not grievous."

Mat 22:37, "Yahshua said to him: You must love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might."

John 15:10, "“If you guard My commands, you shall stay in My love, even as I have guarded My Father’s commands and stay in His love.”

John 14:15, "“If you love Me, you shall guard My commands.”

John 14:21, “He who possesses My commands and guards them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and manifest Myself to him.”

Mat 22:37-40, "Yahshua said to him: You must love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. (Deut 6:5) This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. (Lev 19:18) On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

John 14:23, "יהושע answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our stay with him."

It seems to me you place guilt and grace as opponets of obedience to YHWH;s Law. He does not do this. WHy is it that verses about obedience to His law are posted and you reply "you dont keep it!" It is funny to me, there is noting wrong iwth obedience, adn I have never claimed to be without sin yet I do claim to seek obedience to His Law. This is not a bad thing as some would portray it.

Simple concept about posting on forums. The longer the post the fewer people will read it. You seem to love the long drawn out posts. Also you seem to love posts bordering on heresy if not actual heresy.

Please use the KISS method. Keep It Simple Stupid. I worked my career in electronics and software. They are complex fields and those who avoided the KISS method created hard to maintain products. Going into theology the same principles apply. Your rambling disjointed posts are very easy to ignore.
Thanks for your comment but i believe that people need to know the truth and all ssriptures were written to teach, rebuke, correct and train.

2 Timothy 3:15-17 and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

It's ok for me to get ignored because I'm not greater than my Master.

John 15:20-22 Remember the words I spoke to you: ‘No servant is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin.

I just want to share God's truth and offer Him all the highest praise, honor and glory.

John 12:42-50 Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved praise from men more than praise from God. Then Jesus cried out, “When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me. I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness. “As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it. I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”

  1. To God be the glory, great things He hath done,
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.
    • Refrain:
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice!
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He hath done.
  2. Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
    To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
  3. Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,
    And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!

Matthew 19:16-26 Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS” “Which ones?” the man inquired. Jesus replied, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’” “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?” Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “WHO THEN CAN BE SAVED?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but WITH God all things are POSSIBLE”

And that is so true.
With him and through him all things are possible
Amen bro.

John 14:15-31 Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit “If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.” Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?” Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. “All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe. I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold on me, but the world must learn that I love the Father and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me. “Come now; let us leave.

So we have to obey the 613?
They are the LAW!! Transgression of this law is sin! This is why all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God!!! This law is the law Jesus said would endure until heaven and earth disappear and ALL is accomplished.

Jesus contradicted the law as those to whom it was given understood it. As far as some of them were concerned, He broke the law and deserved to be stoned to death. If you are saying that we need to keep the 613 mitzvot, you are sorely mistaken, and your theology terribly confused.

He broke the false intrepratation of the Law, He di not break the Law. If He did He could not be the spotless Lamb...

They accused Him of breaking Sabbath, but He did not:

Mat 12:12, "And how much more valuable is a man than a sheep? Therefore, it is Lawful to do righteousness on the Sabbath."

Mark 3:4, “And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do right on the Sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.”

Why not? Because this is the true intention of the Sabbath:

You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. And those of you will rebuild the old waste places; you will raise up the foundations of many generations; and you will be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In; If you turn away your foot from breaking the Sabbath: from doing your pleasure; your own business, your own pleasure, on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight; the holy day of YHWH honorable, and will honor Him by not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor engaging in idle conversation: Then you will find your joy in YHWH; and I will cause you to ride on the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Yaaqob your father, for the mouth of YHWH has spoken it."

They also accused Him mof breaking the tradition ofthe elders, this tradition is not YHWH's Law:

Mark 7:1-9, “And the Pharisees and some of the scribes assembled to Him, having come from Yerushalayim. And seeing some of His taught ones eat bread with defiled, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault. For the Pharisees, and all the Yehuḏim, do not eat unless they wash their hands thoroughly, holding fast the tradition of the elders, and coming from the market-place, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions which they have received and hold fast – the washing of cups and utensils and copper vessels and couches. Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your taught ones not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands? And He answering, said to them, “Well did Yeshayahu prophesy concerning you hypocrites, as it has been written, ‘This people respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrine the commands of men.’ Forsaking the command of YHWH, you hold fast the tradition of men. And He said to them, “Well do you set aside the command of YHWH, in order to guard your tradition."

Because you tithe the mint and the anise and the cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the Torah: the right-ruling and the compassion and the belief. These need to have been done, without neglecting the others.”

1 Timothy 1:5-7, “Now the goal of this command is love from a clean heart, from a good conscience and a sincere belief, which some, having missed the goal, turned aside to senseless talk, wishing to be teachers of Torah, understanding neither what they say nor concerning what they strongly affirm.”

I stand on what Jesus said. Especially verses 17 and 18. Why do so many ignore these verses??
