Your post makes no sense at all.

It will make sense, after you have been BORN AGAIN. You have to come to HIM mourning over your utter sinfulness, and willingly want to surrender all control of yourself to HIM, and then you will be able to Understand Spiritual Truths.

1 Corinthians 2:12-14 (NIV)
12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in
spiritual words
.

14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

I'm guessing you do not think asking for forgiveness is the gospel because you think that is somehow a work that earns salvation. So that can't be how you get saved. Am I right?
We have nothing to offer ...only to receive by faith/belief His free gift of His righteousness
I agree, we have nothing to offer in exchange for justification and salvation, but how does one receive by faith the free gift of righteousness?

This way perhaps?

Romans 10: KJV
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

No, I'm not suggesting that this is some kind of legalistic requirement that you have to fulfill or you won't be saved. So don't even go there, lol. I am saying that if you really believe in and want God's forgiveness you're probably going to ask for it.

I don't view it as a condition for salvation after being justified that has to be legalistically satisfied, but I do think every person who believes God's offer of forgiveness ought to ask him for it. Preferably out loud and in the presence of witnesses so they can feel some sense of accountability for their confession of faith and be less likely to fall away from it later when temptations arise.

Probably the biggest flaw in the once saved always saved argument and it's misguided thinking that all works you purposely do is you trying to save yourself is the failure to understand what James' justification by works means. And since they don't understand it they instantly reject that part of the Bible as being a works gospel.

It should be no surprise that justified people then confess with their mouth and get water baptized.

I think it is so funny  so many people on CC think they have salvation without having a glorified body; they will find out where they go without a glorified body.
I got new for you, SALVATION is of the HUMAN SPIRIT, and takes place the moment you genuinely BELIEVE in YOUR HEART (Human Spirit),

While SANCTIFICATION of the BODY will take a LIFETIME, and will be completed totally by JESUS at the Resurrection. REMEMBER, Salvation and Sanctification are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.

Philippians 1:6 (HCSB)
6 I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began

Only weaker versions of what it actually says use knowing, {such as NIV, GWT, ect.} while stronger versions us KNOWLEDGE OF, and even the BEST KNOWN PARAPHRASE VERSION the KJV, USES:

2 Peter 2:20 (KJV)
20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

You see that knowing as it is used in weaker Verstions, is not referring to SALVATION, it is referring to HEAD KNOWLEDGE OF. Where as KNOWING HIM personally, and intimately in your HEART which is the HUMAN SPIRIT, IS SALVATION. Why is that so CRITICAL TO UNDERSTAND? Or you go off into another ball park, like you do. REMEMBER THE HUMAN SPIRIT THINKS TOO AFTER IT IS BORN AGAIN.

I really like the way that Young's Literal Translation words it:

2 Peter 2:20 (YLT)
20 for, if having escaped from the pollutions of the world, in the acknowledging of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and by these again being entangled, they have been overcome, become to them hath the last things worse than the first,

That is not SALVATION, because even the Demons KNOW WHO HE IS and WHAT HE HAS SAID in their heads. BUT THEY DO NOT KNOW HIM IN THEIR HEARTS PERSONALLY. WE who are BORN AGAIN, DO KNOW HIM PERSONALLY, because HE IS IN OUR HEARTS (HUMAN SPIRIT), and the Holy Spirit has Baptized (IMMERSED) us into HIS Spiritual Body.

1 Corinthians 12:13 (HCSB)
13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
I have knowledge of you in my head, an intellectual knowledge, but I do not know you personally. However the Bible speaks of personal or heart knowledge when it says, "knowing our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."

It is unfortunate that despite knowing our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and having escaped from the pollutions of the world, they have again been entangled and overcome making their end worse than their beginning.

Is my signature the signature of someone who is not in love with the Lord Jesus Christ?

You may regret saying I have not been born again.

If I put you on ignore then that can't happen, so it might be best if I do. Bye.
If that's what you feel you need to do then so be it.

Personally that's not my style.

All I did was point out a response that you made to another person that was similar to quoted you have made to others.

You received a response that was negative and told the person they will regret that post, I posted negative responses you made in the hope that actually you may regret that as well.

I'm more than happy for you to reciprocate, and if I feel I'm wrong I would apologise.

Furthermore I will add you posted a while back about people redx when you post scripture.

Yet I noticed you do it as well, quite a lot after the redX.
Why would that be?

Anyway if you wish to put me on ignore then do so.
As for me that's not my go to unless I'm accused a teaching something that I never said and it's personal, even when I clarify what I'm saying.

Only 2 people on my list and that was as a result of accusing me of teaching a license to sin and even when I said no I don't and quoted Romans that it's not an excuse and if anyone believes that and I try to correct them they just ignore it.

And yes I must say that what VCO said was wrong and presumptuous.

At the end of the day Jesus will judge who are saved and who are not.
It's above my pay grade.
After all Jesus knows the heart.

i dont have you on ignore should i be worried that i am into masochism?

how do you even dare to talk about anything here when you dont accept the God of the o.t. as real God? Jesus said that is His Father and you dont believe it is. thats why no one should listen to you on anything spiritual related. sadly this forum has freedom to the point where you can allow to say moses followed a false god in the o.t.. come on whats that about?

i will never drop this topic. its related to everything you say and makes everything you said void

I will take my ball and go home!
Cheers. I find it odd for Jesus to give us fifty very stringent commandments, yet despite that people put their weight behind a philosophy of Once Saved Always Saved.

It seems to me to be completely incompatible with the Saviours teaching.

It might be best if I find another forum with more like-minded people to myself, and then you can all play ball together. 😊

The God of the Old Testament is the I AM (Jesus) the true God. I have told you this before.

My difficulty with the Old Testament is that the people followed a variety of idols and false gods.

Yes there are quite a few around that have bought into the lie that "salvation is is not really salvation" and somehow we have to prove our worth.
