about half a billion people believe in the same said heresies you believe in..... in matters of truth the majority is NEVER right...knowing this first: truth is not a driving force in the world...
Why do you say it is a heresy? Don't you agree with Paul who said we are saved by grace through faith and that is not of works? We Christians understand that it is possible to do good works and not have faith, but it is not possible to have faith and not do good works or are you saying we must add to God's grace good works to be saved and not commit heresy? I am just asking.

Because he believes in....

a. Qualifying and quantifying sin into boxes where some are forgivable and some cause the loss of salvation
b. You can lose salvation for half a dozen reasons plus 1
c. You must walk holy and sinless 24/7/365 to keep or facilitate salvation
d. You must work to maintain your salvation of lose it
e. He is holy and more righteous than most and tells us that we are lost sinners because we biblically believe in salvation by grace dia faith that is eternal and cannot be lost....

About sums it up....

I am not sure what you mean by baptism of repentance, I thought that was Johns baptism about repentance which Paul dealt with

Acts 19:3-5

And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?”
So they said, “Into John's baptism.”
Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.”
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

So given your quote above I can't see how that corresponds with baptism of repentance.

I think to me when Jesus said "Go make disciples" he is saying to us as disciples

Matthew 28:19-20
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

As disciples we have this in common

A disciple is one who repents of sin, trusts in Jesus for salvation, and obeys his teachings.

So to me to go make disciples is to lead people to Jesus which as you say "salvation takes care of itself"
Which is where the Holy Spirit comes in.

Truth is people are saved whilst still in their sin. I say sin and not sins as you say.

Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will come to convict the world of its sin, that sin is unbelief in Jesus.
If one repents of that and places their trust in Jesus then the Holy Spirit indwells in them.
He then works in them to conform them to the image of Jesus. And yes we have a part to play as well.

Does that make sense?
The Spirit convicts the conscience of sin...One departs from this sin in the baptism of repentance, whereas the old man becomes dead and buried> Trust in Jesus means obedient faith from a heart of purity....its not a virtual reality, but rather a manifest reality........... one cannot put their trust in Jesus and yet still be disobedient, that cancels out the biblical definition of trust..obey and trust are synonymous within the text ...............be blessed

Why not quote the verse......BECAUSE THEY BELEVE NOT ON ME.....<-----THE REST of the BOLDED in your opening salvo...

and your view is proven wrong so many times.....Peter, David, Abraham just to name three.....your false sinless gospel is exactly that....false........

We are not sinners because we sin; we sin because we are sinners saved by God's grace. Jesus said be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect, and we are perfect through Christ. We are being work on (By the author of our faith) to be more and more conformed to the image of Christ. It is about God's work not ours. Christ died for our sin in the past, present and future. Our justification is only through Christ.

We don't go to hell for sin; we go for not accepting Christ as our Savior, because we don't have the blood of Christ on our dwelling. It is like the children of Israel not having the blood of the lamb on their door posts. If we belong to Christ we don't want to sin, because we love God, but we do sin, but we get back up and keep fighting the good fight of faith. God said, "Well done good and faithful servant;" He didn't say successful servant. If we teach we cannot be forgiven for future sin our works will be burned and will suffer loss. I am not sure anyone wants to go there.

The baptism of repentance is when one comes clean with God in repentance, 2 Cor. 7-10,11, whereas he becomes justified, and returned to God's favor (reconciliation), as he is bow baptized with the Holy Ghost and fire, becoming worthy of being in the kingdom.,,,be blessed
So the baptism of repentance leads to baptism in Jesus?

If you say yes then does it not contradict when you said your baptised into the name of Jesus (actullay you said Holy Spirit but given the triune Godhead it's the same).

I have no idea what Church you go to or your experience but you said that

the church concentrates on getting people saved while still in there sins, in order to enhance nickels, numbers, and noses,
I dont go to a church like that.

Why is your view tainted this way?

baffling indeed?

sadly they are all like this,

even sadder is the fact they it still does not give them pause They just walk on like nothing happened.

if I had a question I could not answer, I would stop what I was doing to get an answer. And not keep ignoring like it will go away.

The Holy Spirit initially convicts of sin of unbelief.
Thats the first step of repentance.

Baptism of repentance has nothing to do with with baptism into the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Baptism of repentance is Johns baptism, the Holy Spirit did not come those baptised by John, he only came upon Jesus.

So having repented of sin of unbelief we are baptised into Jesus.

John speaks of both willful rebellion, and sins of ignorance, there is a big difference between the two, as the day of atonement in the OT was for sins of ignorance....Job had some sins of ignorance, but not the vile sins of the flesh that disqualify one from the kingdom, thus he was perfect and righteous before God....be blessed
Forgive me if I'm wrong but your focus tends to be alongside the VILE SINS OF THE FLESH.

Why the fixation?

Whilst your concentrating on this I would ask do you also concentrate on the following

Matthew 25:33-36
And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

In the Book of acts, baptism was not done in the name of the father, son and Holy Spirit, but in the name of Jesus Christ only. Some say the other is an interpolation. I don't know for sure, but Baptism means we identify with Christ in his death and resurrection. The Holy Spirit didn't die and rise from the dead for my sin nor did the father, but Jesus did. But every church including mine do baptism in the name of the father, son and Holy Spirit. I don't want to start a division over it, but I am just saying.

Are we still sinners after grace saved us?

I do not believe in sinless perfection at all, after my conversion I am not a sinner saved by grace anymore, am I?

How are we conformed into his image after being saved by grace? what is God's part and man's part in conforming to the image of Christ?

Do you see the word Trump in anything you posted?

and your point is moot.....I think both parties are full of crapola and the fact that I despise the Democrats more does not mean I embrace the Republicans....

This just proves what exactly....that you can read one to three statements and then post what I believe about another group that is not even mentioned....

Par for the course and exactly why you are the only person I have ever blocked........
I find it a bit mean that you should keep telling everyone that peter jens is the only person you have banned here or blocked . ?????

Youve been telling everyone for months now..

Can i ask you a question ,,,,,,,,, is it fair that newcomers to the site should get of to a bad start with peter because of your disagreement with him ?

Bill,
I think he is referring to Acts 19.4.
