What about the millions of innocent Native Americans murdered just for their land? Will you ever honor them VCO? It was these people who really gave their lives for America. Not those who died in wars for wealth and power.
My wife's father was one quarter Choctaw, and I had a great Uncle who married to a Sioux. I know that is not much, but it is enough, to give me a passionate heart for Native Amercans. It wouldn't surprise me if I knew WAY MORE about Native American History than you do; at least I realize that I know WAY MORE THAN THE AVERAGE AMERICAN. I certainly know more about the evil decisions George Armstrong Custer, than you do. I read three biographies about him to make one book report in High School, and I DID NOT REPORT HIM TO BE A HERO, BUT RATHER A VILLAIN. A Congressman came to Ft. Robinson and told him, "I can guarantee you the Presidency if you win one more big Indian battle." A few days later he attacked that village of elderly, and women and children. I got a C on that book report with NO RED MARKS ON THE PAPER INDICATING MY MISTAKES. When I asked her WHY THE C, she said, "Because I thought you were entirely too critical of a National Hero." Yes, I have toured the Little Big Horn Battlefield, and cried for the Native Americans who fell there.
HOWEVER, I have also toured Massacre Canyon in Nebraska, where you most likely have never been.
That is where a War Party of approximately 1000 Sioux attacked a Hunting Party of 700 Pawnee men, women, and children, by surprise. That was Aug 5th, 1873, and 71 Pawnee men were killed and 102 of their women and children. But you do not want to count the wars between the Tribes or the amount of blood shed, with no white man involved. WHY? The Battle of the Little Big Horn took place less than 3 years later.
I grew up poor, the son of a share cropper, often looked down upon, because we did not have much money. And when we moved to town, I was told to my face in the sixth grade, "You are from the wrong side of the tracks." Now when I am old and proud of my Service to this Country, you and others start kicking me around too, like you still think I am trash, just because I am proud to keep my Flag Flying to honor all the Veterans who have ever served. Should I now grow bitter and hate you all, like the grudge you apparently are addicted to? NO, that would not please my LORD, plus I am used to it.
Many, many Native Americans got over it and forgave the wrongs of the past, but NOT YOU. WHY does it still fester? Many of them proudly Served our Country. But you cannot follow in their honorable footsteps? NOT even counting the NUMEROUS lesser medals awarded to Native Americans, 28 of those Native Americans were awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. But isn't your attitude symbolically spitting on those medals of great honor? Are you not making a yardstick by which God will measure your mistakes?
Colossians 3:12-13 (RSV)
[SUP]
12 [/SUP] Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience,
[SUP]
13 [/SUP] forbearing one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Matthew 7:1-2 (NRSV)

1 [/SUP]"Do not judge, so that you may not be judged.
[SUP]
2 [/SUP] For with the judgment you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get.
YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS NATIVE AMERICAN VIDEO. It is 15 minutes long, but start at 9:50 because shortly after that point on, he is talking about the NEED TO FORGIVE EVERYONE FOR THE HURT OF THE PAST:

You also seriously need to make yourself a Native American Flute and I mean MAKE IT, DO NOT JUST BUY ONE. I have made several. You then need to journey to the Mountains to meditate as you play that flute. Do not come down until you can leave ALL of your bitterness and anger there.
