I simply explained the history of why we worship on Sunday, and also the history behind Christmas, and other things. Knowing scripture and interpreting it starts with knowing the history behind that scripture as well. Without the knowledge of history, we have people believing it is a sin for women to wear makeup, for wearing pants, or any other stupid man-made doctrine. You have to know the reasons behind them.

That being said, do you view it as such a bad thing that Sunday was changed to what it was? I'd recon that the simple change to Sunday has converted countless numbers of pagans into Christianity. I don't think the Lord would object to that. Nobody actually worships a sun god anymore, and if you are worshiping the Lord everyday, what does it matter?

Let's not even mention the fact that our calender is wrong, and Saturdays and Sundays as we know them now are more than likely not coordinated with days 1 through 7 as the Lord created them, so even practicing the Sabbath day on Saturday could still be wrong on all accounts.
what is the 7th day of the week?

the name Sun day tells you that it is pagan and is the worship of the sun, there is no need to sugar coat it, it is what it is.

the Lord day of worship is the sabbath day which is the 7th day of the week

the 7th day of the week preceded the 1st day of the week in Genesis 1 and does so 6000 years later

the calendar is not wrong and you confess that sunday is a pagan worship

you know!!!

be circumcised if you want to - it avails you nothing.
if you are doing it to be justified by the Law, Christ will be of NO effect to you!

I am

and the bible says this to the stranger

Ezekiel 44:9
Thus saith the Lord GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.

the uncircumcised will not get near the Lord!! nor come into his temple, nor be among the children of Israel

it availeth much

How I see false accusers here when they have nothing to defend themselves!
I am truly tired of debating with the people who quote vague and irrelevant verses. They only think they can win.
Hmm! I remember some of my many debates with Muslims. To whom the death of Jesus is nothing but a fable introduced by his apostles. The words of apostles are not even valid to many of so called Christians here. Some of them even approve suicide!!! Now that's another topic. But I am just saying here because what can be expected of such people who virtually encourage such acts.
They shamelessly deny the Word of God which means what it says and hypocritically claim that they are the only obedient people. I am glad that His sheep hear His voice.
The old covenant is gone because no one could be justified by the law but the new covenant is written in our hearts by the grace of God and we are justified by our faith in Christ Jesus our Lord. Period!

Matthew 16:8
Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?

Mat 5:16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Mat 5:17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teachthem, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:20For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceedthe righteousnessof the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

It is not a burden to spend one day a week with Yahweh, God, and resting from the other six days. It is symbolic (to me) of the eternal rest with Him to come. Perhaps I am wrong, but it is not harmful to any of the family in Messiah.
Revelation 22:11
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

Matthew 22

35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets

here is how we Love God
And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain;
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy

here is how we love our neighbor

12 Honour thy father and thy mother:
13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
17 Thou shalt not covet

the uninformed beleive that the commandments and OT is fulfilled or complete

but we can read the two great commandments in the OT

Deuteronomy 6:5
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Leviticus 19:18
Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

watch this servants of God

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets

why is Jesus quoting the so called fulfilled OT?

the OT is not fulfilled and the Old Covenant is the same covenant as the New

Ecclesiastes 1:9
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

1st day sunday worship is a old pagan ritual and a 4th century thing brought upon the Christians by the RCC.

the sabbath day is from God and part of the creation

where was the new testament when this was written?
That was the new testament when it was written. When John wrote I John he was writing the NEW Testament for Christians to follow

next

how do you believe on Jesus?
how do you Love one another?

easy the 10 commandments
Brother, i understand what you believe, and you have a right to believe as you want too. But for me, i believe what God has told me. He told me one time in conversation, that a person can keep the entire 10 commandments PERFECTLY and still not enter into Heaven. The 10 commandments do not teach you how to believe on Jesus, nor does it teach you how to love one another, the 10 commandments was the LAW, rules that must be obeyed or punishment would come. i could keep the 10 commandments perfectly and still not enter into Heaven because i have unforgiveness towards another person. i could keep all 10 commandments perfectly and still hate someone, which would prevent me from going to Heaven according to Scriptures.

Brother it is not about keeping the 10 commandments or not keeping them. When a person steals something, and they stand before God on Judgement Day to account for that theft. They will NOT have to answer to God why they broke one of the 10 commandments, they will have to answer why they failed to love the one they stole from.

When a person stands before God on Judgment Day, they will not be judged according to what kinds of sins, or how many sins they have committed, they will be judged on how much they have loved others, and consequently how they have failed to love others.

another reason that i answered this post by title only, is that i am trying to get to 100 posts, so that i may be able to put my website in my posts. Right now i can't add a link in any post, i wander if merely writing it down is the same as a link. here is my website, which by the way one of the article on that site is "Should we obey the Old Testament" : discipledave.com/Index.html if this indeed is a violation of the rules by merely writing the site down, please someone let me know. i don't want to do anything that will offend anyone.

The Lord spoke to you?
The Lord speaks to us in these days by his words

How is that you get to hear God's voice ?

Deuteronomy 4:32-33 (KJV)
For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is , or hath been heard like it? [33] Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

Only israel has heard the voice of God
How is it that you know God are you israel

Amos 3:1-2 (KJV)
Hear this word that the Lord hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying, [2] You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

Also

If man is not judged by his actions which includes sin why is there a judgment day

Revelation 20:12 (KJV)
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

When a man works is stealing or commuting adultery or whoerwdom and he repent not

What will he judged on?

Quoting verses is very easy for anyone. But understanding them is the gift of God. The above verse is totally out of context.
Every time I get a reply I have a hearty laugh and thanks for that. Lol

Matthew 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

John 8:47
He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Acts 9:4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

2 Peter 1:18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

I have heard His voice. :)

P.S: And please keep replying so that I can have a good time laughing here.

You have just limited yourself to one day in a week but as for me, everyday is the Lord's day.
Psalms 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

As for works, according to you, I should not cease from doing good works, even on the Sabbath day; then on the other days is it OK for me to do bad works? As for me, I continue to do (at least I try) good works everyday. I never plan to do evil works on any day. :)

Matthew 12:5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

Out of all the ten commandments, I have found only two commandments in which one has to work or one has to DO something, but the rest have no work literally involved. So when you say that you do (that is to work) according to what the Lord has said, then you mean to say that you merely keep only two commandments that is 1) Keep the Sabbath holy and 2) Honour thy father and thy mother. However, there is no commandment in the NT to keep the sabbath holy.
2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. - No work
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. - No work
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image - No work
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; - No work
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy (How do you keep the sabbath holy? only by not working on that day? because that's how the following verses [v.9 & 10] explain to keep it holy. If there is any other way to keep it holy, please let me know by quoting the verses)
12 Honour thy father and thy mother
13 Thou shalt not kill.- No work
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.- No work
15 Thou shalt not steal.- No work
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.- No work
17 Thou shalt not covet - No work

Paul went into Synagogues on sabbath days upto 84 times, why doesn't the Bible say that he kept the sabbath?

Here is the reason to keep the sabbath day for the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL

Deuteronomy 5:15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

So were we also the servants in the land of Egypt? If yes, then servants to what?

Romans 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

We were brought out of this slavery of sin and have found rest in Jesus Christ our Lord, in becoming servants of righteousness. We were not in slavery of physical oppression and physical work that we should be keeping the sabbath physically, as was in the case of the children of Israel. The latter generations thereafter kept the sabbath in remembrance of how the Lord brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand and a strong arm. So the claim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob keeping the Sabbath falls flat because they never went to Egypt in bondage or slavery.

It is only natural, the new nature in Yeshua, Jesus, to be in the Lord seven days a week, however the Seventh Day is a gift to mankind who worship Yahweh, God, in spirit and truth to rest from the six days of labor, these days five for many.

Anyone who knows the love of Yahweh, God, is with Him constantly.

Apparently there are those who laugh when interacting with people they are questioning, and tell everyone just how much better off they are.

This is not the case with the humble in Yeshua, Jesus. Many times they do not answer back to this type of ridicule simply because because of their innocent nature they do not know how to take such supercilious remarks from supposed brethren.

We are all the same in the eyes of Yahweh, God, therefore let us interact as if we believe this and cut the superiority acts.

I am nothing, myself, but I know Yahweh, God, loves me just as He loves everyone here, so let us conduct ourselves in proper and sober conversation without allegations of being in the light more than others. Yeshua, Jesus, never did such things, so rising above Him to act such is not brotherly, no, not at all.

So if it is natural to observe the sabbath in flesh, one has to accept that it is NOT spiritual.

Yes, I do laugh and it is a laughing matter when you try to judge us who do not keep the Sabbath without any valid scriptural support. Posting all vague and irrelevant verses to the topic will only make me laugh. Every time I have asked you to show me one verse in the NT which tells the gentiles to keep the sabbath just as it does with the other 9 commandments, I have been getting just evasive replies.

I don't need any man's certificate of what I am. The Lord knows me before the foundation of the world. Neither I am interested to certify you either. I am not the one who is accusing but you accuse the ones who are not keeping the sabbath. I will have to quote you one post for you to read who has posted supercilious remarks.

I am just defending the faith that I have received from the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am just explaining what I understand from the scriptures whether you accept or not, it is up to you. I have also said in one of my first posts that I don't expect anyone to change his/her view but I am just stating my opinion.

Now kindly stop accusing falsely, if you mean that I am the one who is showing my superiority here. Let me warn you, you are breaking one of the ten commandments. Just by praising your own humility will not prove that you are really humble. I just want you to open your eyes and see who is putting allegations on whom. Jesus never accused falsely. So please stop accusing falsely.

Finally, please keep the conversation up to the topic and don't bring it to a personal level.

No one here has come to do anything more than share the joy and glory of the Word of Yahweh, God, as they have received it. No one here needs more than the Messiah to defend faith. The concept is the concept of the theology of the witch hunters throughout history.

Again, everyone here claims to be of Yeshua, Jesus Christ. If you are coming here to proselytize, I am afraid you are pouring water on wet ground, and you, being so much in the light should have perceived this.

As for your admission that you are laughing at individual's in place of attempting to share the love you claim you have from Jesus Christ, Yeshua, it is made obvious by your own admission you are altogether too superior to be dealing with the likes of me and my family in the Lamb of God, Yeshua.

Perhaps you would feel more at home in the company of the hierarchy of a wealthy religious group, all very educated in their own history teaching it as the Way of Yeshua. That is apostate, but it sounds right.

Frankly, everyone here would welcome you with open arms if you could simply humble it up and accept the teachings and sharing here in the Forum of those in Yeshua, Jesus Christ, with the same humility as those who are attempting to offer you what they believe they have learned, and when someone seems to be off on a point of belief, in lieu of ridiculing them, show them in Holy Scripture where the error lies. This is not asking too much.

laughter is good sometimes

i showed you numerous times but you have a idol in your head called sunday

let me put the verse
Ezekiel 14:2-4

King James Version (KJV)

2 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
3 Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them?
4 Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the Lord will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;

did not Jesus use the word of God on satan

you confuse humility with knowledge and understanding and the fact that every opinion you give I shut it down with God's word

you would starve to death

you are not to buy or sell on the sabbath

so how can you buy or sell if you worship every day as the Lord's sabbath

you cannot not work on the sabbath if you can get it off.

so how would you pay for your shelter, food or clothing

you error not knowing the word of God

you cannot even speak your own words on the sabbath

you cannot go on a vacation or do your own pleasure on the sabbath and you claim to worship the Lord everyday.

I'm laughing now:)

when John wrote the his books the christians church was established already

lets read

Acts 11:26
And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

13 Thou shalt not kill.- No work
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.- No work
15 Thou shalt not steal.- No work
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.- No work
17 Thou shalt not covet - No work
every one of those commandments will require you to do SOMETHING to break them

if you steal you have to plot to steal it and then carry it out

to commit adultery you have to plot and plan and then carry it out

to have other God's before Jesus we have to have something there physically or mentally in God's place which will require work

every one of those commandments require effort on our part to break them

whether we rob a bank or take money out of our father pants pocket when he is sleep requires work

sunday worship or 1st day of the week worship is a idol

Ezekiel 14

King James Version (KJV)

1 Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.
2 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
3Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them?
4 Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the Lord will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;
5 That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.

how are you estranged from the Lord

Mark 2:28
Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

sunday has been put before the Lord of the sabbath
