and I answered you but you lack understanding ....You have no idea what it means to be in Christ, since you refuse to obey him...
There you go again. Prove I refuse to obey him?

Are you ever going to back your claims with proof? or prove your a false teacher?

And why are you afraid to answer? Do you do it 24/7? Because that is what you demand everyone else to do. Are you a hypocrite, not doing what you demand others to do?

False. No one does this unless it is people like you and others saying salvation is based on these works. That is earning salvation.

People who do works as a result of their salvation are not earning anything, they are not even TRYING to earn anything. They do it in love (self sacrifice, as Christ did when he was here)
It took no time for this straw man to rear his head...

If we long for His Spirit and ask for it...willing to die to ourselves then He will reveal himself to us and begin His work. All of our works are filthy rags in His sight. But it is the work He does in and through a willing vessel that brings Him glory.
I do not agree with these statements.

If a sinner desires to be saved, then he must do obedient works, must do God's righteousness. I may be reading your posts wrong, but it seems you are trying to take these works away from man and give all those works to God to do. God does not do works for man, He gave righteous works to men to do.

Obedient works/doing righteousness is not "filthy rags" to God. Isa 64:6 gets quoted and taken out of context often but verse 5 never seems to be included that says "Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness,..." So God meets/entreats/helps those that work righteousness, their works are not treated as "filthy rags" as you claimed above. Peter says in Acts 10:35 those that "worketh righteousness" are accepted with God, again their doing God's righteousness is not treated as filthy rags. So God does not do all the work while men sit and do nothing.

What works are to be done? For example, lets use a homosexual. What works are he to do in order to be saved? It was wrong to be gay before Christ, what has changed for the homosexual since then?

Nothing has changed, the new testament says it is still wrong to be a homosexual.

They can not walk in this lust and still claim to be saved. The bible makes that clear.

I have some gay friends, and I pray for them constantly that they will turn from that way or not let that desire control their lives.

if you want them to change to be saved, It will never happen.

They need to be saved to be given the power to change.

We are saved by His grace. Do you remember when Jesus was on the cross and He told the man next to him that he would join him in heaven? The same rules apply to us. Just believe in Him, accept Him as your Lord and Savior and you will be saved my friend.
That about sums it up.

That is where the problem is then. Remember a testament is only in force after the death of the testator. There are no dead homosexuals. So to have a new spirit, you must think differently, as the new testament is about LOVE. Can a homosexual love his neighbor (you) as himself? YES! And thus has fulfilled the law. But if after Christ, who came to save all, we still hold on to that "all homosexual will burn in hell" attitude, then we are simply building upon what we already know is destroyed, which makes us all sinners.

The difference is if they repent and turn from that sin, or do not live in it.

They can not willfully live in that sin, and say it is okay to be that way and still be saved.

Yes a homosexual can love God, can love their neighbor has self, love their enemy, but if they still live in willful sin the scriptures say they will still face the indignation of hell fire.

That means you must have a mind set change, and not give in and live willfully in that sin.

Galatians 5: 14-16

[SUP]14 [/SUP]For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

[SUP]16 [/SUP]This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

What law are they breaking?

A person who does not have the power of God can not change a sin, The things of God are foolishness to him..

Why do you force them to make a change they are powerless to do.

wow bro. do you listen to yourself.

a person must be healed first. then change will come.

That does not make sense because scripture says you have to repent before you can be saved.

You are reversing it like Atwood likes to do, and trying to say the saved state comes before repentance.

But if they live in willful sin they truly do not live for God, and our Lord will say I do not know you.

If you want to say that living in willful sin is now acceptable, then you might as well say some one can live a good life doing nothing bad and still go to heaven even though they do not believe in Jesus.

That is the new age concept ( false teaching ) Oprah's group teaches.

you do. It does not say repent of every sin, It says repent.

Before you are saved, it is ALL ABOUT YOU. everything you do, whether moral or immoral is based on self. Before we come to Christ, we are called an emeny of God.

this is what we must repent of. Not personal sin. We can not possibly even know all the sin we do before we come to christ.

No. I am saying repent, and trust God (not self) then God will start healing your sin issues, and he exposes them to you. then you have the ability to change.

Our dead spirit must be born again, or we have no power over sin.

your to focused on the law my friend, Your teaching law and you do not even realise it.

no repent means to change ones mind about a certain subject. Your adding the word sin into the equation, where it is not found in scripture.

How can a man dead to God turn away from sin? He has no power to do so, about all he can do is replace one habit with another. thats not turning away.

Jesus said your faith has healed you. NOW go and sin no more (change your lifestyle)

he did not make them change first, then heal them.

come on, you should know this!

You should know by now that workers for salvation not only add works to Jesus, but they also add words to what God states as well and or twist it to their own demise!

I didn't think I had to explain further. Is this verse wrong??? If not, then you need to understand what sin is. And the gentiles, having not the law obeyed from the heart, even today.
