Homwardbound, I am so adamant over this because this issue is very important. I am aware that there are plenty of translations out there. Some even before 1881. The modern translations which I attack are the ones produced since 1881. The very first "Modern Translation" technically speaking, was the Revised Version of 1881. Also called the English Revised Version, since it was published in England. Then about 20 years later, the American Standard Version came out in America in 1901. It was a revision of the English Revised Version. And in the American Standard Version, the Godhood and Deity of Jesus Christ was attacked in a footnote in John 9:38. Keep in mind Homwardbound, that both the Revised Version and the American Standard Version are considered the granddaddies of all the modern translations that are on the market today. Since they were the ones that initiated all the changes that are very common today.
Now I am going to share a quote of what Douglas D. Stauffer said in his book, One Book Stands Alone.
By Dr. Douglas Stauffer - Excerpt from One Book Stands Alone (Chapter 2.)
"Examining the footnotes found in these early versions (ERV & ASV), one can quickly ascertain the thoughts and intentions of the earliest revisers. Although its copyright page claims the ASV to be a revision of the King James Bible, it is not.
The claimed purpose of this older translation, as well as the stated purpose of today’s translations, is simply to modernize the language and render these versions easier to read and understand. If the intention of the revisers was merely to modernize the language of the King James Bible, why then do these modern versions all attack the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ?
Jesus — Accepts Worship
The American Standard Version died out long ago. It is no longer an acceptable version, having been The American Standard Version died out long ago. It is no longer an acceptable version, having been replaced by the more than 200 more modern choices. For this reason, only a single verse from the ASV, along with its corresponding footnote, will be considered in the present study.
(KJB) John 9:38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
Amazingly, we have agreement between the two texts. The ASV says the exact same thing as the King James Bible.
(ASV) John 9:38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
In this case, the problem does not involve a change in the text itself. Instead, the attack manifests itself in the footnotes of the ASV. Both versions reveal that the Lord Jesus Christ received worship. However, the footnote corresponding to this verse in the ASV blasphemes God. Here, in the great granddaddy of all the modern versions, the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ is vehemently and overtly attacked. By examining this footnote, one can quickly see that the revisers did not believe Jesus to be God.
The footnote: "The Greek word denotes an act of reverence, whether paid to a creature (as here), or to the Creator." 2 Translators of the American Standard Version and the English Revised Version believed our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to be a created being. Since Jesus was the One being worshipped in this passage, the translators reveal their unbelief that He is the Creator of the universe. Many other passages could be considered. However, such a flagrant attack on the deity of Christ should suffice to illustrate the point." - (Douglas Stauffer, One Book Stands Alone, Chapter 2. Deity Denied)
So Homwardbound, Dr. Douglas Stauffer asked a good question, if all these modern translations are simply "updating" the language of the Bible for the people, then why in all the modern versions and translations is the person and deity of the Lord Jesus Christ attacked so much?
The reason the deity of Jesus Christ is attacked shows the true nature of these modern translations. That the modern translations are satanic and are indeed false bibles. They are simply counterfeits. I mean think about it like this Homwardbound, Satan always tried to imitate God. That's why just like there are Ministers of God, there are also ministers of Satan. Just as you have the one true local New Testament church which consists of the assembling together of New Testament Christians, there are also many false churches out there (i.e. Seventh Day Adventist, Jehovah's Witnesses' Kingdom Hall, Mormon Church, Campebellite, Charismatic churches, Sacred Name Movement churches, etc.) Not only that, but just as you have genuine converts who are truly saved. There are also false converts, or false brethren. I mean if there are so many satanic imitations and counterfeits out there, what makes us think that there are not also false and satanic bibles out there?
Also Homwardbound, there are no errors in the King James Bible. The King James Authorized Bible is the perfect, inerrant and infallible word of God. I highly recommend you check out Will Kinney's website: Another King James Bible believer:

I do think the King James to be very accurate, no matter though Ilearned from God's Spirit the hidden man of my heart the truth that God plain and simply just loved us and loves us, does reveal hinmself to all that beleive. Even the King James translation is used to decieve the very elect, depending on one's interpretation. I am posting scriupture verses in more than one translation here, tell me please the meaniing of each and I willshare what I get out of it as well. And I do appreciate yuor sincerety in all to know the truth
[h=3]2 Corinthians 5:16-21[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. [SUP]17 [/SUP]Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. [SUP]18 [/SUP]Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, [SUP]19 [/SUP]that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. [SUP]21 [/SUP]For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
[h=3]2 Corinthians 5:16-21[/h]King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
[SUP]19 [/SUP]To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
[h=3]II Corinthians 5:16-21[/h]Knox Bible (KNOX)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]and therefore, henceforward, we do not think of anybody in a merely human fashion; even if we used to think of Christ in a human fashion, we do so no longer;[SUP][a][/SUP] [SUP]17 [/SUP]it follows, in fact, that when a man becomes a new creature in Christ, his old life has disappeared, everything has become new about him.[SUP][b][/SUP] [SUP]18 [/SUP]This, as always, is God’s doing; it is he who, through Christ, has reconciled us to himself, and allowed us to minister this reconciliation of his to others. [SUP]19 [/SUP]Yes, God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, establishing in our hearts his message of reconciliation, instead of holding men to account for their sins.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]We are Christ’s ambassadors, then, and God appeals to you through us; we entreat you in Christ’s name, make your peace with God. [SUP]21 [/SUP]Christ never knew sin, and God made him into sin for us, so that in him we might be turned into the holiness of God.
[h=3]2 Corinthians 5:16-21[/h]The Message (MSG)
[SUP]16-20 [/SUP]Because of this decision we don’t evaluate people by what they have or how they look. We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong, as you know. We certainly don’t look at him that way anymore. Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other. God put the world square with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling everyone what he is doing. We’re Christ’s representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God’s work of making things right between them. We’re speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he’s already a friend with you.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]How? you ask. In Christ. God put the wrong on him who never did anything wrong, so we could be put right with God.
[h=3]2 Corinthians 5:16-21[/h]New Living Translation (NLT)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! [SUP]17 [/SUP]This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. [SUP]19 [/SUP]For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. [SUP]20 [/SUP]So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” [SUP]21 [/SUP]For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
All these are on track comig at it from differant view points yet saying the same thing that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not counting anyones's sins against them, good news yes?
So then think about it how much more are we saved by Christ's resurrected life? No matter which translation one uses in their search God shows all how deep his Love goes andwe become responders to God's love. This world is about being God, initiating and creating, and getting the credit for it. When it is God that is the creator and we are the responders, not seeking the differance we continue to try and create scenarios and diffearances whrn there are non in God, we are all one
1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.1 Corinthians 12:13It is the same way with us. Jews or those who are not Jews, men who are owned by someone or men who are free to do what they want to do, have all been baptized into the one body by the same Holy Spirit. We have all received the one Spirit.1 Corinthians 12:13Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.
