You know, I'm slow learner and your fast thinker and this communication of ours seems to lead to nothing but I am sure we have the mind of Christ. Thank you.

1 Cor. 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
1 Cor, 1: 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

Have you read Matthew 25:30? In another verse Jesus says, "Well done good and faithful servant, enter...." But in this verse the wicked and lazy servant will be put out where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (hell). These are both servants of Christ- one did well, the other did not.

The bible says if it's hard for a Christian to be saved, then what hope is there for those who are in the world? One moment, I'll try to find it and post it before my time runs out...

Here it is... 1 Peter 4:18

"If it's hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?"

So the righteous are the saved, yet some of them will lose their salvation.
The truth of the matter is that everyone is a servant OF God (but not necessarily a servant "TO" God (Rom. 6:22), for He is Lord and King of ALL, whether they acknowledge it or not. Both faithful, saved servants and wicked, unsaved servants (him that hath not) are viewed in this parable. BTW, Cyrus in the O.T. was God’s servant.

Romans6:22 But now being made free from sin, and becomeservants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Please read your verse carefully: It says "he is able to keep you from falling" It doesn't say: Once saved always saved

[
QUOTE=fredoheaven;2629841]Jude 1:24 A verse for "Once Saved , always saved"

24 Now unto him that is able to keep you* from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

God my Saviour is able to keep me from falling, that's being saved now, and to present me faultless before His presence then that's an exceeding joy of once saved, always saved.

Why is it so hard to accept that we must put forth effort? Why practice denial and try to find a way around it?

There are atheists and God haters. They do not serve God. Matter of fact, most people only serve themselves in this life.

We all fall short of the glory of God. But there are two groups- the righteous and the unrighteous...

[h=1]Hebrews 4:9-11[/h] [SUP]9 [/SUP]There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

[SUP]10 [/SUP]For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

That does not discredit 1 Peter 4:18

The scripture in 1Peter about judgment in the house of God must come first is a beautiful promise of the sealing of God's people off before judgment comes.

1 Peter 4:17-18 (KJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

[SUP]18 [/SUP] And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Notice this is addressing about those that do not obey the gospel which is to believe in Christ.

Peter was the apostle to the Hebrews...It is a hebrewism from Eze 9 in which they had set aside the jewish elders and marked them before judgment came..these ones were saved from the judgment....all Jewish people would know of this truth.

In other words we get protected/marked by the Spirit of God before judgment comes to protect us..but ti starts at the house of God first..It's awesome!! it's a beautiful picture of us.. We have a good, good Father! and a mighty salvation in Jesus our Lord!

Sorry, I'm busy this morning and can't always finish what I want to say, so I just post what I have so far.

"Let us LABOR (effort) therefore to ENTER that rest." This rest is not like they did in the Old Testament- physical rest, it means the rest we will have when we enter heaven- spiritual rest.

Your right, there are two groups.

Every man woman anc child who walks the earth belongs to the unrighteous group.

There are non righteous, no not one, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

The law condemns everyone.

Only those who have had their souls washed by th epure blood of the lamb are righteous.. in the eyes of a holy God..

Yes, spiritual rest NOW. When you have time, please study this chapter as well as 5 and 6 with this commentator as he goes verse by verse and see what you think about his understanding on this wonderful epistle.

Yes, and of those washed (made righteous), it will still be hard for people in this group to be saved, some will not make it.

We all know the Lord is faithful on His part, but we can choose to be unfaithful on our part- God won't leave us, but we can leave Him.
