In your mind, what is the last day?
You poo poo the world wide catastrophe of the 4 horseman, and emphasize the wrath part of the GT,cram two events of jesus return into one,and seem to be unable to discern the "like manner" in acts as jesus riding off to heaven on a white horse at rhe end of a non existant wrath on earth, with a million horse army following him to heaven.
I mean, really,no offence, but postrib doctrine is getting insane.
We mock that which we don't understand. Remember, I used to think as you so I completely understand where you are coming from. The biggest problem you are having is you are stuck in the way you have been taught and the way you have believed for years. You are either incapable or unwilling to even consider that you might be wrong. This makes your mind closed and your eyes blind. I can show you scripture and explain things to you until my fingers fall off but it won't matter as your biases are set in stone. I only respond to you because perhaps someone else might be following our discussion and it could be useful to them.
Nobody is cramming two events (returns of Christ) into one. There is only one return of Christ and it is after the GT and before the Wrath of God/Lamb. You are splitting one return into two. That is what pre-tribbers do.
The last day spoken of the most (such as Mat 24) is the END OF
THIS AGE. There are three earth ages, one before the flood, one we are in now which ends when Christ returns (ALL THINGS TO BE RESTORED), and one after the millennium when we enter the eternal state. I am not speaking of dispensations the way you think of them. I am speaking of earth ages which are massive changes to the planet. The disciples 2000 years ago already understood this concept which is lost on many today. The disciples link the END OF THE AGE with the COMING of the LORD.
"...And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
The question implies "a set of signs for both" (not separate signs for each) and indeed when Jesus responds, He does not say, "okay, here's the sign(s) for my coming and here are the signs for the END of the AGE." Rather, He gives one set of signs for both and the context is always AFTER the Tribulation, never before it.
The signs given for the GT NEVER include a rapture return. Instead, the signs given are things He calls, the "beginnings of sorrows" and the Gospel being preached to all the world, and the Abomination of Desolation. Those are the signs for the coming of the GT. Please read it over and over again until you get it.
The GT which is unparallelled persecution and killing of Jews and Christians does not determine the END of the AGE. There is no physical change to the planet before or during the tribulation other a nuke or two and the ravages of war. There is no teaching that the Tribulation defines the
END OF ANYTHING, except peace, decency, and the Church being decimated in the Middle East for sure, and possibly around the world.
The Horsemen are not fully understood by anyone. I am pretty confident that I know what the 3rd and 4th represent and I have an idea about 1 and 2. The 4th is clearly the rise of Radical Islam and it is the Great Tribulation. Islam is the tool Satan uses to kill Jews and Christians and just about everyone else including other Muslims. The death of an unsaved is a victory all the time for Satan. He wants Jews and Christians wiped out because they are God's People. They are the LIGHT which convicts the world and prevents him from taking over the hearts and minds of everyone.
I believe we are already in the GT but the worst is yet to come. When it ends there will be hundreds of millions if not billions dead then Christ comes and gets His revenge. My view is completely supported by scripture, yours is not.
