a woman explaining the ways of the Lord to a man?? but i thought this was forbidden, maybe she had an extra head covering.

According to your reasoning, how is it possible for the enemy to attack Christian men? How is it possible for the enemy to attack Christian women who are not teaching men?

Men get attacks too. With women it is more. A lot of the times the attack is some kind of sickness.

i get that they are married, do you see the part where it says "they" explained. . . "they" means the women was an active "explainer". it does not say the husband explained while the women stood three steps back, eyes down with her mouth shut.

Yet Pricilla actively participated in the teaching to a man. The verse says that 'they' took him aside to explain the way of God more accurately, it does not say the 'he', Aquilla took him aside. This thread could use some accurate explainations about the ways of God as well. I am sure that there are a few women members that are qualified and up to the task.

While this is true not every single word and sentence in these books pertains to a specific law of some sort. I don't consider the 6 days of creation to be a law, but perhaps the 7th day as that is considered the Sabbath. Of course, there are those that say that the OT is no longer relevant so therefore there is no longer a 'Law" of Moses so therefore the Sabbath is obsolete except for that one commandment that says to "Remember to keep the Sabbath holy". I guess some people forgot this.

I find a lot of the posts in the BDF to be funny. Besides, I pray the Lord's Prayer each day for God to keep me from temptation and deliver me from evil so I am all set on that score. It's a simple but highly effective prayer and I recommend it to all as part of their daily routine. It's like a preventative measure.

Sounds like total nonsense to me but you put a good spin on it that's for sure Where in that verse does it say anything about her head being covered? Nowhere. It has nothing to do with her, along with her husband, teaching a man the ways of God more accurately.

In my opinion, the bible says clearly that woman can't teach in the congregation. Why almost all of the denominations allow the woman to teach? And I think it's not the problem in the denominations only but in the home meetings as well.

King James version:

1. Tim. 2:12
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

1. Kor. 14:34
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Ps. I don't belong to any denomination as the bible clearly says that there is only one congregation in every city. There were no names for congregations with early Christians.

Regarding the epistles of the Apostle Paul, in modern academic studies it is considered that of the known epistles Paul owns 7 letters, and the letters to Timothy are not among the authentic epistles of Paul.

As for 1Kor. 14:34-35, there is reason to suspect that this place is an insert, because among the manuscript sources (Greek and Latin), this passage is placed in a different location (after 1Kor. 14:40)

It tells about women having a covering in Cor: 11: 1 - 16. Where does it say that it's alright for a woman to teach without a covering in the Bible.

LOL where does it say its wrong? It does not say its wrong at all....All the scriptures used to cage women and make the men Lords over them are taken waaaay out of context...The whole thing is a Churchianity fraud.

Poor unmarried women, widows, and those whose husbands' work takes them away from the home for extended periods. I guess they're easy fodder for the devil.

Um, no. Paul gave clear instruction to ward off the enemy's attacks in Ephesians 6: put on your armour and pray. That applies to men and women, married and unmarried.
