There seems to be more and more stir up on this issue. I'm not going to get any debates over said topic. However, I think it's ironic A LOT of you are spending time on this "big sin" yet seem to overlook "little ones" that your neighbors across the street are involved in (I know there is no such thing as big and small sin, but you all are making homosexuality seem like a next level compared to gossip and gluttony). You know, my church is doing a mission trip this summer. In our own backyard. How many of you are willing to try to save someone that literally shops at the same grocery store as you, or takes the same path for a morning or night time run if you like to jog? How about stopping with the arguging of this subject, and start actually talking to people in your own backyard about Jesus in a loving way. And treating all sin as sin. Funny how you don't see many threads about gossip and gluttony. This is why the LGBT people hate Christians.

@ D_Anne

I think one of the rules of this site is not to promote things that are ungodly, includes homosexuality. So yes, he will get banned if he doesn't follow the rules of this site. Ellen Degeneres is a great woman, I admire her for the work and help she does for others, but a sin is a sin.
Hello MadeInDodsImage :)
Its a bit tricky being banned for ungodly acts. If you read the threads here about the amount of christians committing adultry or spousal abuse or a whole string of other shameful (albeit it totally human) acts, then half the people here would be banned. I do take your point though and I dont really see that anyone is PROMOTING homosexuality... its just there is mixed opinion on how to respond to those who are gay (ie whether to spurn or embrace them). Discussing is fine but its not so fine when the opinion turns to villifying people, and I think thats what some mean here when they talk of homophobes... that the point is made with hate and intending to ridicule or shame. To me thats just as bad a sin.

Where in there did you read the words "I approve of sin." You might want to do some reading comprehension. I was saying you all are achieving nothing by having these countless debates. Look how many threads are on homosexuality. You all aren't doing a darn thing to try and help people. Instead you're on a website condemning people you don't even know behind their backs. Have you actually tried ministering to anyone? Remember what Jesus said to the prostitue, and to those that wanted to prosecute her? How about trying to do live more than way. There's a reason why there's a huge gap between Christians and the LGBT community. It's just like the thread about boycotting companies that promote sin. I bet people won't boycott the company they work for. Why is that? Too many people have their priorities messed up on here.

It very common for folks to try to justify sin by pointing to other sin...especially those who are trying to defend the gay agenda...now it seems clear to me that's what your post was trying to do.

For someone that visits the Bible forum, you should know how much name calling and slandering goes on in there. Your use of sarcasm kinda backfired on you. I see you didn't answer my question in that how about ministering to someone in your own community instead of getting in pointless debates that isn't going to help the community? You mentioned before you will confront those in lust and lying once the media starts glamorizing it. Have you seen the trash that's on TV and in the movies, and in magazines and books and newspapers nowadays? What more glamorizing of those sins do you need before you actually start doing something about those?

You obviously aren't reading my post fully because where did I say I was defending the gay agenda? You're side stepping my questions and challenge for you. I have no problem repeating myself. My church is doing a mission trip in our own county, trying to save the 75,00 plus people that are unsaved. Guess what? I can guarantee you quite a bit are gay. And also guess what some more? Even more so are liars, lusters, and cheaters. Where's the outrage in all of those sins on this site, Mitspa? I'm waiting for your take.

Hey they been glamorizing sin for many years now, but only recently has the government use the force of law to promote and approve sexual perversions... Then there is folks that are supposed to be Christians who have gone along with the whole gay agenda thing...yes I think its a huge issue and one of the most destructive things that has ever happened to our society.

My friend your group will not save one soul that don't admit they are sinners and telling folks sin is ok or trying to play politically correct games to get some one to join your church...has nothing to do with true salvation.

Why are you saying that I'm saying sin is okay? Where are you getting that from? Please point out to me where I said the words "Homosexuality is okay." Or "sin is okay." You are not comprehending what I'm saying.

Ok so then you agree that we should call sin ... sin? Right? And not try to excuse it by pointing to other sin?

So a law that was passed is more important to you than say your local waitress that maybe is being used as sex appeal to attract more customers? Or your neighbor that maybe isn't treating his wife like Christ should treat the church? Apparently your neighborhood isn't important to you. Since you're fixated on homosexuality, what do you plan on doing to change things? Are you gonna boycott companies? How about boycotting your job, as I'm sure you don't work for a Christian organization.

All sin is sin. Homosexuals are no different than anyone. But too many people, including you, treat these people like they're monsters. No wonder they want to kill themselves. Or don't want anything to do with God. But the problem I have with you and others is acting like this is the sin of all sins, when there are sins everyone does every single day and doesn't even realize it. Too many people like talking rather than doing something different to try and reach the lost. Notice how today Christians don't have crowds following them, whereas Jesus did? Don't ya think maybe we're doing something wrong on our part. Just maybe, a teenie weenie bit?

Yes when sexual perversion is being made a protected civil right and enforced by force of law...yes! that's much different than some gal working at IHOP...and again you seem to be trying to justify one sin by pointing to another? Right...we must not deal with the gay agenda in a real way because other people sin..Thats not sound logic and its sure not biblical logic.

If you think this sin is not a sin that the bible makes clear as a abomination and a sign of a reprobate condition...you don't know your bible...and again because others sin, should we now approve and promote more sin?

No... We must treat the LGBT the same way we treat someone in any other sin. We don't have to wait for the government to pass a law that basically accepts sin, you know. Since you're still assuming I'm for the gay agenda, I'll spell it out for you. I'm not. But I don't treat the LGBT people any different than someone in a different sin. Why? Because they're human just like you and me. It's sickening to me people want to wait until a law is passed to do something, rather than going out into their community and just ministering to nonbelievers in general. Why even label sin? Because that's what it seems you and a lot of people on here are doing. Just go out and minister to people that are unbelievers in general in your hometown. How hard is that?

I really don't understand how you are not comprehending what I'm saying. Even more so, I don't know where you are getting "approve and promote more sin." Maybe you're so focused on this subject that the fact someone even mentions a different sin, you think the person is trying to advocate it. I don't know what to do with you. Have fun on this thread, because surely you're doing such a great job reaching the gay community and teaching them about Christ.

Well to a certain degree we can deal with a gay person who admits their sin and need for a Savior just as other sinners...but what is being promoted is that its not a sin and they don't need a Savior...That's why you must use fear upon those who will not admit their sin...they need to understand that they are going to be judged and being gay is not ok .

And I have been leading sinners to the Lord for years and I am very aware of what it takes to bring someone to Christ...first they need to know they are a sinner and need a Savior...not that "everbody sins"...therefore its ok and sin is not really sin.

No I hear what your saying..I have heard it dozens of times by those who have been deceived by the gay propaganda that has entered into the faith...maybe you don't know that what your saying is not biblical and is counter to helping any sinner?
