In marriage (the way God designed it to be) wives are to submit to their husbands. That is not always a fun, easy or comfy task.
Then throw children into the mix.....
"dying to ones self" can be a very painful,( less than comfortable thing) at times.
A couple can appear to have it all together at church, appear to be a "perfect couple/ family" but no one other than them (except the Lord God Almighty) knows what life is really like behind closed doors.
So, that above quote really could read:
Single women think they know everything. They have their comfy little lives( that revolve only around them since there is no husband to submit to ) and don't have a clue what others endure. So sad."
Just something to remember: All married women have been single at some point of their lives
And let me just point this out:
15-20ish years ago I could very easily been guilty of the quoted post above. I was young, naive, single ( never really even having had a boyfriend) and in a church full of older married couples with families.
There were a few that seemed to have it all, seemed to have perfect, comfy , little lives. In fact I remember sitting and watching them walk around the church, everyone with smiles on. I remember thinking "boy, they have it all. I'd love to have what they have" And I remember feeling shunned when trying to talk with the wives about how beautiful their families were and the lovely example they were, only to have them quickly huff and mumble a "thanks" before running off. I remember my young, naive, single mind thinking "well that's rude"
Appearances can be deceiving......
Fast forward a few years........
They all ended in bitter divorces
