This many sound sexist, but it needs to be said.

Women: It you bash men about how they don't make enough money, then you go to work. You patrol the streets in a patrol car, you fight the house fires, you win the wars, you do everything and let us men sit back and criticize you about how you aren't doing enough and how you can't make ends meet by working 12 hour days. After about 2 minutes of that, you would get mad wouldn't you? The Bible says that women are supposed to respect and honor men, and submit to them. (Yes, I know sometimes excuses are to be made to that, I.E. abuse, etc.) Therefore, condemning a man for working hard to make ends meet with minimum wage is a sin. Its called judgement.

Men: If you look at women as sexual objects and things to be used, and not as human beings, then you also are committing a sin. That sin is called lust, and sexual immorality. Women are people too. They have souls too. Even though media, TV, the entertainment industry has put women down, it is our job to let others know that they are more than a good looking body. And in my opinion, Christians have done a lousy job at that. We have indulged in it.

I am not a sexist.

The bible does not say that women are supposed to respect and honor men and submit to them. You did however made some valid points in the rest of your post.

Because celebrities are REAL LIFE. They just have more fame then we do, and sometimes more money. That doesn't make their lives fake. They are still real people like you and me. They aren't mythological creatures. lol.

Well, if you got to know the person, and they still never asked you out. I don't know. I think every man is different and every situation is different. He could either be intimidated, or he may like you as a friend but you don't meet the standards for what his ideal wife may be like. And there is nothing wrong with that. You can't please everyone. A woman can be the perfect wife to one man while another man may have a different idea of what he wants in a woman.

For example I would never marry the woman my friend is getting married too. But he loves her to death. Not my type though. So I would not get discouraged, I would just wait for a man that appreciates you and recognize s you for the good wife you will become and not worry about those that have a different idea of what they want in a woman.

And it may not even be that. This guy or imaginary guy whoever it is, may be too nervous to ask the woman out. But there's no way for me to know. And if there was an epidemic of men in the church not stepping up to the plate in that area, I wasn't aware of it. I would like to think that Christian men are bolder than that and not too intimidated by the women in the church, but I don't know.
Celebrities are real life? They have drug dealers on speed dial (which includes doctors.)

Uh, they're real people, yes. But they sure don't live in the same world as you and I. It's a completely different culture and way of life. And even the "reality" shows aren't real. Everything is scripted and programmed for ratings. Saying that their lives are anything like those of regular people is like comparing people who live in entirely different countries and saying they're the same.

And I'm not saying that Christian men aren't stepping up to the plate. I'm just saying, with as many Christian men as I've noticed who say that all women are out for money... Are they asking out the women in the church (not that there aren't a few bad apples, as there always is) or are they asking out women like the ones you describe (who live in a false reality)--because that's a huge part of the problem.

And of course, it goes both ways. There was a post here in which a woman said that she has a friend who sees (a famous male celebrity) as an example of what to look for in a man and when we look to celebrities, that can have a lot to do with how our judgment gets mixed up.

*sighs* Well, if nothing else, this thread has had some... interesting... outcomes.

"...Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. 22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing[SUP]b[/SUP] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body. 31“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”[SUP]c[/SUP] 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband."

Ahhh phooey. Ya'll women are full of it. One thing I noticed about the majority of women especially on here is they are major people pleasers. If a man having money makes him more attractive that is nothing to be ashamed of. Theirs nothing wrong with the fact that a man's ability to provide makes him somewhat more attractive. God made women biologically attracted to men that can help them survive. Meaning they are attracted to men that can protect and provide for them. I'm not ashamed of the fact that I am attracted to a woman's physical attributes. Now I'm not shallow. I'm just keeping it real. A woman's bank account doesn't get me aroused, her sweet personality doesn't do anything for me. It looks. Sorry, I won't apologize for the way God made me. Now, will I choose a wife because of her looks? No. I'm not shallow. The attraction must be there but more important is the woman's character and her morals, etc. But character and morals don't make me say oooooooooh baby. Your integrity is so sexy. lol. it's a womans looks that do that. Now am I saying you should go out and marry a man for his money? No. Am I saying that a man that doesn't have much money is unattractive? No. I'm not saying that. All I'm saying is that a man's ability to provide can make him more attractive to a certain extent, not to mention that he will have more to offer in a marriage for the children, etc. I hope I don't upset any of the women here for calling them out on their bull, but I have a bad habit of keeping it real. lol.
If I'm so full of it why did I marry someone who was then unemployed, I gave him money, always provided for him, since Dutch people don't pay the pastor, I still give him money. Because I don't care about money and a man loving money is a huge dealbreaker.

That is correct sir. Husbands and wives are commanded to submit to each other in the way that is specified.

I believe that women are below men in power. They should not have any control over a man's household, which, in today's world, is in abundance.

That is because you are a woman. Who sinned first? A woman.

That one word there, "control," that's where you messed up. Got the focus on the wrong aspect, you have. If you focus on who is in control you will always have a him versus her outlook.

Two mules pulling a plow, which one... Never mind, nobody understands farming these days.

Two processors in this laptop. Which one is in control? Neither. I'm the one controlling what the computer does because it's my computer. In a proper relationship neither man nor woman is "in control." They work together as a team because their focus is on doing God's work, not on which of them is in control.

You can't see it? The link works with me but I post on a phone. It's proof that not all women are after money, a singing homeless guy picking up girls and they all say yes.

A man is the head of a household. And I grew up on a farm by the way.

What do you mean? If people are married it's not his household. The proverbs woman had control over her household and she worked. They should not have control over a man, but men are called to lay their life down for their wife, not to be controlling.

Eh, too early to tell. It seems so, but I'm operating on benefit-of-doubt at the moment. The balance of probability is troll though, yes.

If you ever get married your wife will have to train you.
