Ive been thinking of looks lately. Probably because of this thread. Someone mentioned in here the word "commercially attractive. " There are companies that hire advertisers, that have professional consultants, that research and determine what is attractive. And it isn't always what you think. It's kinda a joke to think runway fashion models are an ideal for beauty, because they are not. They fit an ideal for that particular industry, for displaying clothing for a brand. Some of these ideals for attractiveness the advertisers come up with, may be just a kind of face you would see anywhere. Taste in appearance change too. I was watching a YouTube video earlier, and an advertisement was playing. The spokesman was a girl, and I thought she was really pretty, but I also recognize, she will never be selected to put on angel wings for Victorias secret.
I work with a guy who thinks the Kardashians are the hottest babes on earth. I think they are as ugly as sack full of butt holes. The gals I think are pretty, he firmly disagrees with me. But there is this kinda in the middle, average, that usually gets everyone's attention. I think that's what those advertisers are looking for. I've never researched that industry, but I wonder how they make their conclusions.
