I do have to say that you have a confidence about you, felice, but not in an arrogant way, plus you're pleasant and well-mannered, so you're on the right track! Also, I give you the benefit of the doubt with your OP. There are lots of ways your statement about thinking about the bride could have been taken that are not sexual.
I also just realized that we seem to have this tendency to want to knock down the people who are confident in themselves (or come across that way) while we tell those who aren't as confident to be moreso. Veeeeery interesting.

It's emotional socialism. Take confidence from those who have much and give confidence to those who have little. We'll call it... instead of redistribution of wealth, redistribution of confidence.
