I'm about to go off on a rant over how many People Here Hate Raisins.

C'mon people--chocolate chips can't get all the love!!!

Raisin Lives Matter, too.

Besides, you have to have SOMETHING to put in your oatmeal!
A raisin is a waste of a perfectly good (and delicious) grape. Every time I see raisins I think of all the grapes I could have been eating instead.

I reckon raisins belongs to the dry counties then.

Hmm.

You don't like being faced with dry, shriveled-up things that were once plump and soft within their youth?

I'm beginning to think you Raisin-Haters are just afraid of getting old... and reflecting in onto the poor raisins. :(

Looking down in the similar threads sections and just realized how many rant threads there are. Now Lynx, do be a dear and don't go on a rant about that.

Kim, the big question here is...
Do you prefer raisins over chocolate?

Why do I get the feeling 2/3 of the people in this thread are going to wait for me in a dark alley and beat me up if I say raisins...

I feel like I'm back in high school, man.

(Haven't you people ever heard that peer pressure is a sin!!???)

Raisons are better than craisins which are little dried up cranberry's. Those things are horrible. I do enjoy a refreshing glass of cranberry juice though. Go figure.

Raisons are dried up grapes. Truthfully, I don't do grapes. I barely tolerate raisons. Don't get me started on prunes. :)

I am beginning to feel very uncomfortable in this thread...

*sniffs*

Some of my most favorite-ist foods are being severely hated on. :(

What do y'all have against dried fruits anyway? :(

I'm beginning to think I'm the only person in the world who likes raisins, craisins, prunes, and *gasp* fruitcake. (Or was that, I AM a fruitcake or at least a fruit loop...)

And now I'm going to go fortify my barricade in order to prepare for when all you fine people show up at my door with pitchforks and torches...

(I DO LOVE chocolate... it's just that I love all these other things, too.)

Well if there's ever a meet up at least we know Kim won't eat all the chocolate. :p We'll have raisins and dried fruit ready for her.

AT LAST.

FINALLY, a measure of sanity has been brought to this thread.

Although those little single-serving packs are kind of an insult...

To both me, AND my intestines...

Zi, my dear, I'm getting us each our own pop-top canisters. One for you, and one for me...

So there will be no need for you to worry about me double-dipping (unlike with the juice bottles in the Streams thread.) :)

"Grape Bran" just doesn't have the same ring to it, somehow.

You and I can share the fruitcake. As for the rest, well, raisins are at the top of my most-preferred snack list, so there might be some disagreement. As for chocolate, only dark chocolate is real. The rest are imposters and frauds.

There's also those nasty little Raisinettes things. They look like boogers. Then again, sunflower seeds - the kernels - look a little like ticks.

Cauliflower looks like brains... I need to stop associating.

Now hold on a minute, I never said I didn't like dried fruit. I found bags of mixed dried fruit at the salvage grocery, 7 ounce bags for 99 cents a piece. Prunes, apples, apricots, pears. No sugar added, just fruit. Not half bad. I bought about 21 bags.

I too like dried fruit as I mentioned in the trail mix thread. :p
But I definitely prefer chocolate!

I totally agree, Zi.

Raisins and chocolate together? That's about as close to perfection on this earth as you'll ever find.

Dissing a heavenly combination like that is borderline heresy, I tell you.
