Two that I can think of off the top of my head:
-It's according to God's design for marriage that the husband would be the head or the leader, and if he doesn't lead out in initiating the relationship, the relationship is really starting off on the wrong foot. If he is expected to be the leader, when does he stop letting you lead for him and take over?
-As a guy I can tell you that a man will be a lot more invested in the relationship if he has had to put some effort into making it happen.
-Regardless of gender roles, if you're really having to chase someone, that can't leave you with a lot of confidence that they actually want to be with you. So even if you ended up getting into a relationship with that person, it seems like there could possibly be issues there trusting that the person really wants to be with you.

The only problem with, "Ladies, Never Chase a Man" is that what follows next is a thread such as, "Single Men, It's Time to Step Up!"

And we all know how that went. :D :D :D

Sorry, after the week I'm having, I couldn't help but go there. :)

Ladies- never chase a man ….. off (at least not the first time he works up the courage to say hi to you)

Wasn't this in relation to a guy that disappeared and not chasing after him, and not about going after a guy that you have an interest in? Because that's what i understood the original topic to be on.
The whole 'who should pursue' topic is so dead horse in here already.

I think it is okay for a woman to make the first approach. BUT (yeah, there is a 'big but' here...) please don't turn it into a chase like this -

It will suffice for a woman to just drop a hint and then to let the guy do the chase. If he doesn't, then just walk away.

I don't think anyone should chase anyone. I think if you ask someone out and they say, no thanks, then why keep asking? I don't believe you should waste your time, man or woman. As Elsa would say, Let it go.

Hmm... women have their own ways of chasing men. Such as a moderate version of playing hard to get.

I'm reminded of when a young couple got married one time, and someone asked an elderly man if the groom had been chasing the bride very long. The old guy laughed and said, "Chased her? Well bless your heart, he did indeed. Chased her till SHE caught HIM!"
