see peter, I do not need all this rabbit trail theology. it is not complicated, it is simple. the Biblical definition of sin is falling short of a standard , missing the mark, knowing to do good and not doing so. if you, me, or anyone else does this, it is sin. we are cleaned, washed, and acceptable because Christ gives us HIS righteousness, Titus 3. get it right peter. accept that when the Bible says sinners, it means you, me and everyone else on Earth. stop denying what sin is.
If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.
James 4:17
This is your benchmark for sin. Firstly it is just one benchmark. It relates to do positive
good things, or things of God. James is arguing you should do thing according to Gods will,
and not presume you are doing Gods will, but commit it to the Lord.
He is implying by not doing this you are sinning. Now it appears you want to say we are failing
to do good. What are you referring to?
And yes I do accept what scripture says about sin. Now you are saying I am denying what sin
is but your accusation is empty. And ofcourse sin is falling short of a standard. The question
is which standard and how is it defined. I get the impression you are trying to say any standard
you fail at you are a sinner. So if my eyesight is bad, I am a sinner, if I cannot sleep less than 4
hours I am a sinner. Until you talk not in meaningless generalities you words have no foundation.
It is just slander and not a real point. So if you wish to say I am sinning, please tell me about
what.
My point is simple, we are called to walk righteously and in purity. It appears you reject this.
By implication you are happy to walk in sin and being defiled. End of story. I am not.
