Ok, you guys got me laughing so hard with the last couple pages of posts!!! ;) ROFL!! I'm gonna share something one of my kids texted to me last night that had me laughing myself silly for over half an hour!! I still crack up every time I look at it. It came from some crazy site online that pictured totally disastrous taxidermy work. I'm laughing so hard right now I can hardly type this message or post the image. LOLOLOL!!!

I have met some women who do this, too. I once knew a woman who openly told us about her sex life, was pretty gross and awkward : /
I just wore a scarlet letter, that was always enough. Just kidding.

I once knew a gal who, on first meeting her, I thought very highly of her. She had a wonderful personality. She was smart, clever, witty, charming. She was also very beautiful. The illusion didn't last though. She openly admitted to having "well over a hundred partners...honestly I don't know because I stopped counting at 75".

Ick.

In that moment, a rare thing happened, and I knew exactly what I wanted to say and I had the opportunity to say it. My words to her were "I appreciate your honesty. I cannot and will not be involved with a woman who has had that many partners. To me, it shows a lack of self control and a lack of self respect. If you think so little of your sexuality to give it out so freely, it isn't worth anything, and I see no reason why I'd want something worthless."

That was probably the only time in my life I felt good about being a frigid prude.

Avid hikers use "moleskin" to cover blisters. Methinks this is not *quite* the same thing, but they are cute, in a rodential sort of way. I wonder, can you dig holes faster while wearing them? ;)

I see your bunny with a pancake and raise you a pitbull with bacon on his nose.

I am not sure how to counter that play. I am consulting the D&D rule book, and it looks like I need to gather up much more XP to increase my charisma modifier before I roll 1d20.

Can you imagine having to wear 75 scarlet letters?

I don't blame you. Good thinking on your feet:) On a slightly different note, I've never understood why people like to talk about their ex relationships or partners on a date. Sure, some information about previous dating experiences is relevant and important at times, but why would anyone want to share unnecessary details with a new romantic interest?

Has anyone here ever tried speed dating? It looks like a disaster waiting to happen... but what do I know? I've never tried it.

Speed dating? So a person can have multiple rejections in a very short period of time? Sounds like fun*

*if fun involves walking across a field of lego blocks in a dark room only to bash your shins on multiple random coffee tables - all on your way to the bathroom...when you've got the trots.

Speed dating sounds kinda fun to me. I mean, you'd meet a lot of people but without any obligation to see them again if you weren't interested in them. :p

You forgot to add: and then you sit on the toilet and you realize you forgot to put the lid up. Yup. Sounds like 'FUN'.

I think it would be a lot like my job. People call in I ask them questions, do my best to fix their problem, fill in inane social plesantries. And never hear from them again until they have another problem they want me to fix. As much as I like initiating conversations with strangers, the only way this would be fun would be to come prepared with an initial question that shocked 95% of people into just looking at me weird and maybe one or two who thought oh hey, this person actually wants to have interesting conversations, this could be fun. Hmm that could be a good thread topic in and of itself. How would you start a conversation when speed dating?

Consider it done. Good topic for a singles forum.

Lol. My brother went to ComiCon and people were really impressed with his Cosplay... it drew quite a bit of attention, and one chick invited him to a somewhat exclusive nerd speed-dating thing that was going on. He politely declined, but I think he wishes he'd tried it... I think he thought it sounded kind of fun.

Personally, I assume that if a picture looks professional (and by that I mean magazine-worthy, not professionally taken graduation photos), it probably isn't actually that person.
