It will require our death now. It will require that we completely destroy all the enemies in the land and not spare a single one of them, and when we find that the enemy is US - our will and pride and seeking for honor and preeminence and our constant demands to be treated well by others - then yes, you are right, we don't find men willing to accept it and give all of that up. It is a narrow and hard way and few find it. And there is very little practical help from another who has chosen the way of death so they will find their life, because as you say, you have not met them in your 71 years.
And yet, if we're honest, we know deep down that something is not right and that we are walking in less victory over our enemies than He desires to give us.
So true. And the answer? I think it is simply that we keep walking in the direction where we sense He is, and leave the perfection up to Him, when He chooses to have us experience it.

its all good. There are people that do this to me, Lately any preacher who seems to preach in king jimmyeze "I have wondered for years if they actually teach this in college" makes me cringe and i have to turn them off..lol

I have not listened to Joseph prince, or even read any of his writtings, well except for what people post here.. The problem I have is people over and over use his words against hi, then when you investigate further, you find the people who are attacking him took him out of context. and are wasting there, and our time, because they are falsly accusing someone who can not even defend himself.

To me, that is not Christ like.
I would agree, really I would, IF a single follower of JP would open their Destined to Reign book to the page ISIT says, & then tell him he's wrong.

Whether you like me or not, I don't think it's that much to ask, especially if they could absolutely prove him wrong. Doesn't that make common sense? I don't expect you to agree with me, But I expect you NOT to disagree against me for nothing..... just because.....somebody else who's proven nothing says so.

Had Jesus not died on the cross for our sins, Satan could have tormented us forever for each sin we ever committed, or that is my understanding. Obviously Jesus succeeded. If Joseph Prince says "reverently" that Jesus failed, then perhaps Joseph Prince is trying to start his own religion. This might fall under the heading of "Anti-Christ."

Don't be suckered, 33.

Prince did not say that. It is a distortion the writer of the article hoped to lead the foolish into, and it seems he succeeded with ISIT.

Please read the FULL and HONEST section of Prince's book that I posted.

I printed it all out, right here, for any of us to read, and showed the shameful trickery that was being attempted.

My thought is that if someone doesn't like the OP, and they have seen and heard it all before, maybe it is time to turn the other cheek for the 777th time, and walk away from this discussion. Or any other thread they do not like, and have answered many times before!

This applies to everyone. Bickering comes from trying to prove you are right. If a simple post on the first thread someone posted about a topic you do not like did not convince the OP to change their minds, what good is constantly answering back, rehashing the same stuff over and over?

I think it is time we self police (meaning ourselves, not others) and try to make this whole forum more Christ-like. As for whipping the money changers, I'm inclined to leave that to Jesus to do!

I do not dispute ISIT to ever even imagine trying to change his mind. But I have a hard time watching other well-intentioned and honest Christians buying into the deceptive subterfuge he presents as accurate representations of what Prince says or writes.

Since I have several of Prince's books on my hard drive, I can easily check ISIT's posted distortions in a matter of moments. And when I do that, I often copy and paste the FULL and HONEST text here for everyone to read.

BTW, I will gladly e-mail anyone the full "zipped" copies of three of his books. Just PM me. It is all free.

I agree...these are deceptive malicious slanderous tactics - aren't they? We are not ignorant of their devices to malign the gospel of the grace of Christ.

It is no wonder people of the world view this ungodly behavior and then say things like this...

gandhi_like_your_christ[1].jpg

Now they will say you are preaching works of the flesh and will say you are trying to make yourself holy.
You seem to know their tactics pretty well, :) even though I've never said as much, but it does not stop them from trying to prop up that constant misrepresentation of what we preach. But even still, the words of God also has the answer for their false accusations of how we are to accomplish BY THE POWER OF GOD'S HOLY SPIRIT this putting to death sin that is at work in our flesh--->>>>
Romans 8:13 "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live."

Perhaps they can see that now. LOL :)

Yes, and what I quoted from JP's book in the OP was word for word, so all these false accusations have no basis other than to try to uphold a false teachers words above that of Jesus Christs.

All can see in post #121 I did not misquote Joseph Prince, even by Willie's book---->>>>

Here is the quote Willie provided of JP--->>>>
Did Jesus die on the cross to free us from committing sinful actions or harboring sinful thoughts? If He did, then allow me to conclude with reverence that He failed.

And here the same quote in the OP that I posted--->>>
Quote #19:
“Did Jesus die on the cross to free us from committing sinful actions or harboring sinful thoughts?
If He did, then allow me to conclude with reverence that He failed."

Word for word people, don't believe all the lies of these deceivers, but prove all things. :)

I was just commenting on the post. I'd never heard of the guy before.

also, probably should not believe someone who refuses to admit that they are not sinless and perfect. now, who refuses to do this..........

Did you read it? here it is again--->>>> [SUP]12 [/SUP]Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body,(flesh) that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Neither yield ye your members(flesh) as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members(flesh) as instruments of righteousness unto God.....

[SUP]19 [/SUP]I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members(flesh) servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members(flesh) servants to righteousness unto holiness.

The words your mortal body, your members, your flesh, is speaking of not letting sin reign in your body=flesh. :)

Thank you for not putting up a long long wall of text.:)

When Paul said, don't let sin reign In your mortal body.

Before a person can renew their mind, they would need their spirit made perfect which Is GOD's workmanship created In CHRIST unto good works that was before ordained that we should walk In them.

We still sin In our mortal bodies but It Is our spirit that GOD Is looking at.

But If GOD has made us perfect In our spirit, then be conscious of your right standing before GOD and not be too focus on sin consciousness.

Taking someone's quote out of context to try to "prove" what someone is saying is false is ungodly behavior and it has been shown by Willie exactly what Joseph Prince did say "in context".

NOT the fact that the words were printed on a page. It is the context that is the issue here that was not shown - and the "application" of what the OP said about his words.

The video was shown to prove from his own mouth what he says about sin not having dominion over the Christian because of grace. I will post it again to show the malicious slander being done supposedly in the name of the Lord.

It's shameful and ungodly behavior and the sole purpose of the OP is to malign a leader in the body of Christ that lifts up the Lord Jesus Christ.

Leaving these lies un-challenged is allowing the gospel of the grace of Christ to be maligned from those that would distort it. The enemy will attack the messenger in order to malign the message of Christ alone for salvation and life to try to get us Christians to stop relying on Christ's finished work for us.

1 Peter 4:1
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

Those who have been born of the Spirit of GOD are members of the body of CHRIST.

We are GOD's workmanship created In CHRIST JESUS unto good works that was before ordained that we should walk In them.

The above suggestion is interesting. JP in the video constantly refers to a man in adultery
saying their conscience would condemn them for commiting adultery. But why? Maybe he
loves more than one woman. Where is scripture on his authority on condemnation?

He quotes none. The problem is he would have to quote from the law, which would undermine
his anti-law position. And why should he walk in purity and righteousness? Because it is a
higher way, not sin destroys the soul, destroys his marriage vows to his wife, is hypocracy,
is sin, and sin condemns a man, is against the cross and the work Christ has done in a believers
heart and is wilful if they know it is sin, and stay in this sin, while claiming to know Christ.

And what is the punishment? Rejection from the congregation unless the person abandons adultery,
publically repents and lives honourably with his wife asking her forgiveness? Nothing, no mention
at all.

And why should one not live in adultery? Because it is not the way of grace.

No it is betrayal, a denial of love over lust, a breaking of a solumn oath before God, a sin against
the body. What an empty preacher, what a man who does not understand sin, love and faithfulness.

But Grace777 thinks the video defends JP as a great teacher. Not surprising this is just a splash
of water to cure a deluge of waste that makes no difference.

I agree wholeheartedly. I am the poster child for trying to do it the wrong way. But even through the agony of that, He had already shown me grace I can't believe because there was a time I didn't even SEE how bad I was. I think it was because...I was trying to salvage something of myself instead of dying. It would not be wise to junk a car before you were certain it couldn't be repaired.
