Think of it this way....the bible needs to be read and taken from its entirety. Yes, this woman became pregnant out of wedlock which is a sin and because of the new testament she is given Grace and forgiveness, but in order for this to be done she needs to repent. You are saying because she is a pastor and having a baby she should not be fired, but we don't get into heaven based on doing good works, right? We get into heaven because of God's unfailing love for us and our willingness to repent of sin and professing with our mouth that he is Lord. Now, this woman should not be removed from the position of being pastor, instead be put on sabbatical for a time, but the problem really isn't her being pregnant and not being married, the huge problem lies in her head knowing it's wrong, twisting scripture to validate her sins and that is scary for a person from her position as many young people are looking up to her as an example. Now because of this she needs to be forced to step down
It sounds like the lady pastor works in an "on the street, and on her feet," ministry and not an armchair ministry like most of the rest of us, here. I'm sure she would not tell young women to just "eat, drink, and be merry," and there are no consequences for your actions...
ALL sexual sin is an "abomination," even people sinning against their own body. God didn't reluctantly destroy several cities in the Bible because of this for no reason. But, they were completely consumed by insanity and perversions, and there was no other way.
Mary, mother of Jesus, had/has more power in her ministry just by being a woman. If any lady is brave enough to try and help young people in Harlem find Jesus, then, more power to her. I'm sure her supervisors will help get right with the Bible and her ministry. I'd rather hear a humble lady up front read the Gospel or teach, rather than some pompous male up there to hear themselves talk and build their own kingdom. It's pretty difficult to build your own kingdom, in a street-level ministry, except Jesus did it pretty well...
