The only real trust we can have is the one that God gives us, our natural trust and love are perverted and tainted with pride and selfishness. We would only trust and love Him, in order to use Him to get what we want and that would be things like money and power
God gives us the ability and the hope to trust But we chose to trust him or continue to reject him

He does Not force us to trust him

I think Christ meant we must come in humility and simplicity, without an alternative motive. Children are simple and easy to read, the smarter a person is the more proud they seem to be
Yep
but in Calvinism none of that matters. He opens our eyes and BAMM we believe and are saved

Can not come as a child in microseconds

Yes, every single person who has ever been saved was saved in sin, unless the Bible lied when it claimed that all have sinned.
They were justified from the penalty of sin which was death and because of this justification were made alive in christ

They were not saved in sin they were saved from the penalty of sin

I don't believe in the man centered gospel of salvation by works. I believe that salvation is of the Lord, so if the Lord saves a person then they cannot lose their salvation no matter how much they sin because the Lord cannot fail in anything He does. If salvation is dependent on anything we do than, we will fail and end up in hell
Yet a man of god can not live in sin because he has been born if God. So it is not about winning all you want it is about learning Gods Way and growing in faith
this no Matter How Much they sin is worry some Not because if legalism but because of how it sounds

I'm just describing the reality that applies to all self professing Christians. I'm not sure if you're aware of the reality that the church is divided into thousands of denominations. Many of these preach entirely different and conflicting gospels, they all claim to posses the truth and accuse other denominations of apostasy.
Those who claim that their denomination preaches the true gospel are seen by others as arrogant and divisive. So how do we know who the "true believers" are? - answer = we don't. There's no way of knowing who Gods elect are, only He knows that.
so we don't know who is actually a believer or not

apparently you don't, but many many do

and that is biblical. I suggest you go back over the plan of salvation. NOWHERE are we told salvation is a hit and miss and we can't be sure etc etc etc

rant all you want about denominations, but you have Jesus all wrong apparently

I don't follow a denomination but I do follow the Lord Jesus Christ. He is my Savior and He promises He will never let go.

That is in the Bible. Have you not found that yet? Don't come into this forum preaching what is basically heresy and telling people they can never know if they are saved or not. Sounds more like the devil is whispering in your ear

Absolutely right, we don't need the gospel to be saved. Millions have been saved without ever reading a Bible, the thief on the cross didn't even get a chance to partake in Bible study or baptism
You must need to learn from God's book. You are building upon another man's foundation (calvin)...

Rom_15:20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:

Hmmm, you're contradicting your own Primitive Baptist "gospel." The quickening you refer to comes when persons are granted faith in the Gospel, and are then subsequently given eternal life, Ephesians 2; John 1:12-13. In your false gospel they are only given temporary deliverance if they believe, not eternal life as per 1 Timothy 1:16.
If you are referring to verse 8 in Eph 2, The faith in that verse is referencing Christ's faith. The natural man does not have spiritual faith, which comes as a fruit of the Holy Spirit that indwells a person after he has been quickened. Eph 2:1 & 2:5.

John 1:12-13; Who did Christ give the power to become sons of God? Those that were already born of God (verse 13) are the ones that received Christ (verse 12).

1 Tim 1:16; Life everlasting is a spiritual thing that the natural man cannot discern, and thinks it to be foolishness. (1 Cor 2:14) Faith in an everlasting life only comes from our spiritual faith which we possess after we have been quickened and given the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, in which, faith is a fruit of.

I know that you think that I am misinterpreting 1 Cor 2:14, but you have not convinced me, due to the harmony of other scriptures.

Please, if you want to discuss this further, do it with an attitude that would allow both of us to be able to discuss it with respect to one another. I do admire your knowledge of the scriptures, and agree with most of them.

We are not saved by Christ’s faith. Unless you are speaking of his faith to go to the crisis. The faith in EPH 2 is not Christ’s faith. It is our faith.

The Lord Jesus Christ said "I am the truth" so I believe the truth is Christ Himself.
You are pitting Christ the Word of God against Scripture the Word of God. That is both foolish and disingenuous. Read Matthew 4:4.

This should say his faith to go to the cross.

It is the faithfulness of Christ going to the cross. Gal 2:16 harmonizes with Eph 2:8. We only have spiritual faith after we are quickened, and given the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Eph 2:1 & 5. Before we are born again, we only have the faith of a natural man, witch is faith in man, and his accomplishments. The natural man thinks the things of the Spirit are foolishness, and he cannot discern them (1 Cor 2:14). Being quickened to eternal life is by God's sovereign grace, without any help from man.

You are right that we should we should do all of our studying with consulting only with the scriptures, and not other man's writings, because scripture will prove scripture, if they all harmonize. A lot of people's doctrines will not harmonize with other scriptures.

Your wrong
you have a man quickened while dead in sin that goes against Gods holiness and Justice

Also. As Jesus himself said. Those who believe (have faith) are not condemned. Those who do not believe are condemned already

Condemnation is only removed by faith salvation is having that condemnation removed and regeneration is the new life which comes from being set free from the penalty of sin

So why were the apostles sent out to preach the Good News?

I know you’re stating truth but it came across as you defending this troll’s heretical views and I know that wasn’t your intention.
Agree, allowing to be saved was meaning "whosoever" nothing more by me when I posed the question.

I try to give a scripture reference with my statements, it would be helpful in my response if you would do the same, thanks.
