...IF they rightly divide the salvation (deliverance) scriptures.
You mean like this? God's Simple Will (RDF = Rightly Divided From):

The THREE Tenses Of God's ETERNAL Salvation:

"But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should
not trust in ourselves, but in God Which raiseth the dead: Who

Delivered us from so great a death,
(RDF)
and Doth Deliver:
(RDF)
in Whom we trust that He Will Yet Deliver us;"
(2 Corinthians 1:9-10)

E-X-P-A-N-D-E-D version:

Precious friend(s), Is not the Solution to Confusion recog-
nizing These THREE, And, Also, God's Differences Between
"HIS Relationship With us," And (RDF) "our fellowship with HIM!"?

God's Will, Today, Under HIS PURE GRACE? Very Simply:

► faith ◄
1) Past Tense = "...God Delivered us from so great a death...":

God Establishes HIS Eternal Relationship With
those who humbly repent and:

believe, 100% trust, place Total faith, In The LORD JESUS CHRIST,
HIS Death (
Precious BLOOD), Burial, And HIS Resurrection,
According To The Scriptures!

(1 Corinthians 15:3-4; cp Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3-5 KJB!)

"GRACE Through faith" In The Merits
Of HIS
ALL-Sufficient BLOOD Results:

All sins Forgiven, His Eternal Life, And, Peace With God!
(Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 2:13; Romans 6:23; Romans 5:1)

This Is Eternal Deliverance From the Penalty of sin,
The So Great A [Second ] Death! (Revelation 21:8) =
Justification
and Spiritual Sanctification
(2 Corinthians 1:10a cp Romans 3:24)

(More Biblical Confirmation is here: God's ETERNAL Assurance!
And here:

God's OPERATION On All HIS New-born babes In CHRIST!)

► faith ◄
God's ETERNAL Justification/Relationship Is First, And, Then:

Rightly Divided (2 Timothy 2:15) From “Things That Differ” (online)

►► love ◄◄
(2) Present Tense = "...God Doth Deliver us...":

All believers Should do "good works" {Which will Never
Equal CHRIST's Payment For the above Penalty of sin!},
for Which we Are Created In CHRIST JESUS, to perform
for Him, having "been Called into fellowship With Him!"
(
Ephesians 2:10; 1 Corinthians 1:9) Amen?:

We "work out our own salvation" (Philippians 2:12). This
Should Be a lifetime of Daily submission, and renewing,
being "not conformed to this world" (Romans 12:1-2),
for Grace Deliverance From the power of sin!}
(2 Corinthians 1:10b) = personal sanctification:

(2a) Christ Living In us, To Fulfil:

All Of His Law, In "One Word: Love thy neighbor as thyself!"
(
Galatians 5:14; Romans 13:8-10)

(2b) His Spirit Guiding and Teaching us, How To:
"Study to shew thyself Approved Unto God, a work-man
that needeth not to be ashamed, Rightly Dividing The
Word Of Truth!" (2 Timothy 2:15)

Eternal Results: reward (GOOD works Required!) [or loss (BAD works!) *]
(1 Corinthians 3:8-15), ruling and reigning [or not *] With CHRIST, Which
Will
Finally Be At The Judgment Day!

* More study: Finishing The Race

Rightly Divided (2 Timothy 2:15) From “Things That Differ” (online)

►► love ◄◄:

►►► Blessed HOPE! ◄◄◄
(3) Future Tense = "...God Will Yet Deliver us":

CHRIST's Glorification of All "members" Of HIS Body!!
{This Is Eternal
Deliverance From the Presence of sin!}
(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-57;
2 Corinthians 1:10c). Hallelujah! Praise HIS Excellent Name!!
----------------------------------
Conclusion:

BIG Differences Between the THREE tenses Of God's Eternal Salvation,
And Between God's Relationship And (RDF) our fellowship! Correct?

no STRUGGLING necessary, Correct?

Please Be Very RICHLY Encouraged And Edified In
The LORD JESUS CHRIST, And His Word Of Truth, Rightly
Divided
(+ I and II).

So according to you people who never heard the Gospel know God nonetheless. Seems like God’s grace is sufficient for such people.
Romans 1:20 (NASB95) "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse."

Stop looking for excuses.

Stop looking for excuses.
Stop insinuating I’m looking for excuses for anything. You quote scripture and so do I. God is love. God’s grace is sufficient. Here’s another scripture; John 3:18 doesn’t state people who never heard of God are condemned, it says people who deny God are condemned.

There is a deliverance (salvation) that the born again children of God receive, here in time, when they come unto the knowledge of the truth (Rom 10:1-3) The "all men" in 1 Tim 2:4, is the same as "the world of believers" in John 3:16.
Please tell me where, in John 3:16 you see ANYTHING about a "world of believers"....

16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

There are plenty of people in the Bible, and in life today, who did and do search for God.
Rom 3: 10-12 as it is written: " None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless, no one does good, not even one."
Psalm 14: 1-4 The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good. The lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God. They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.

You posted the context without realizing it. Those verses are talking about fools.

Also, none are righteous because we all sin. We all need the salvation provided through Christ.

The elect, the chosen ones, are always those who are in Christ (Eph. 1:4). God does not determine who will be saved and who will be condemned. Actually, we do.

Mark 16:15–16 (NASB95)
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
16 “He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned."

Romans 10:10–11 (NASB95) "For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.” 😇

I realise that the doctrine that Jesus taught is evidenced in the scriptures as a hard doctrine, and a mystery unto most of God's born again children. I also. according to scripture, believe that the Holy Spirit, that dwells within all of his regenerated children, will not reveal the truths of the doctrine to those who do not deny their own entelect in their study of the scriptures.

We are saved (delivered eternally) by God's sovereign grace, through Christ's faithfulness in going to the cross, and that not of mankind's works.

Jesus instructed his apostles to go and preach to "the lost sheep" of the household of Israel, who have a zeal towards God, but not according to knowledge. The remnant of the household of Israel are also instructed to teach to the lost sheep.

The house of Israel/Jacob include all of God's elect people that are from every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation

Mark 16:15-16 - God scattered his elect throughout the known world at that time, and in Col 1:23 says that the gospel was preached to every creature which is under heaven. The Greek interpretation for the word "saved" is "delivered". There is a deliverance from a guilty conscience to a child of God when he is baptised (1 Pet 3:21) This is a deliverance that is timely, and not eternally.

If a person applies every salvation (deliverance) scripture to reference eternal deliverance, the scriptures will tend to make eternal deliverance to be accomplished by a person's good works.

Rom 10 scriptures are referencing a deliverance (salvation) that the born again child of God receives in his life as he sojourns here on earth. The people that Paul is praying for in verse 1 are people who have "a zeal of God" verse 2 (indication that they have been born again), but not according to knowledge. There is a deliverance, here in time, when a child of God comes unto a knowledge of the truth.

Verse 10 & 11, which you have quoted, are deliverances, here in time, for those children that already have a zeal of God.

And actually, Calvinists would agree with you that the blood of Jesus is accessible for total cleansing from sin to all who believe.

I am not real sure of what John Calvin believes, because I have not read any of his writings, but as to my understanding of the scriptures, they teach that Christ's accomplishments on the cross for all of those that his Father gave him, is that the blood that he shed on the cross was not an offering for mankind to accept, but that his blood, DID INDEED, cleanse them from their sins, at that time.

The unregenerate cannot believe in the things of the Spirit, until after God has quickened them to the new spiritual life.

Yes, but the majority of Calvin's followers believe that God has ordained all things to happen as they are. That is false.

Again, I do not know exactly what John Calvin believes, because I have not read any of his writings, but I believe the scriptures to teach that God gave mankind the freedom to choose how he wants to live his life as he sojourns here in this world, but that mankind's eternal inheritance is determined by God's sovereign grace, without the choice of mankind.

I think Grandpa was just asserting that all are born in a state of unbelief and have the opportunity to come to the light at any time.

The unregenerate cannot "come to the light" if you are referring to the spiritual light (1 Cor 2:14).

Couple of questions...

Who, exactly are the "unregenerate", whatever that means...

Where, in scripture do you see anything about God "quickening" people to a new spiritual life? When/how does that happen?

As much as we have passages that discuss being chosen or having a name in the book of life since the foundation of the world:

"According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:" - Eph 1:4 KJV

"...whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world..." - from Rev 17:8 KJV

We also have references to the concept that one may have their named blotted out from the book of life in the same way that the handwriting of the ordinances of the law were blotted out.

"Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous." - Psalm 69:28 KJV

And this suggests that a status established from the beginning of time can be changed (in reaction to choice, otherwise why would their name be in the book of life to begin with?). There are different ways to look at it.

We can look at things through the lens of hard determinism or soft determinism. It doesn't really change anything. If you believe in hard determinism, it's not that "choice" doesn't exist in any capacity, it merely becomes an observation of the perception that something could have been different as a way of abstractly conceptualizing cause and effect. The relationship between cause and effect remains the same. Esau lost his OT promise inheritance in a causal relationship to that which we percieve to be his choice. Whether the choice was real or not doesn't matter. And that single passage alone doesn't address whether he was ultimately saved or unsaved. God will show mercy to those He will show mercy.

Many are called, few are chosen. I see work and choice as two different things.

If choice has no bearing on salvation, why would Deuteronomy reference choice?

"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:" - Deut 30:19 KJV

I'm not claiming that determinism would necessarily be incoherent. I'm just suggesting that there are other valid ways to look at it.

The determining way to look at it is that all of the scriptures must harmonize before the truth is revealed.

The "life" and "death" in Deut 30:19 does not refer to eternal life and eternal death, but rather to choosing that good and peaceful life that that God offers his born again children can live here on earth if they follow his commandments, and the death that is referred to is being separated from God's fellowship. A child of God separates himself from his fellowship with God when he commits a sin, until he repents. Death is a separation.

Many are called, which is all of God's elect, (the house of Israel) and few are chosen, which is the remnant of the house of Israel, who were revealed the knowledge of God's righteousness, by the revelation of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Eph 1:4 is not referencing all mankind, but only his elect.

Rev 17:8 are those that are not his elect.

Rev 69:28 the book of the living includes all mankind, which is different from the book of (eternal) life. David is asking the Lord to actually kill them from their life.

To my understanding, the unregenerate (no spiritual life) are those that God has not regenerated.( given a spiritual life by being born again).

The only way that the unregenerate (the natural man -1 Cor 2:14) can become a Spiritual being is explained in Eph 2:1-5 And you (the natural man) hath he quickened,(given life) who were dead (spiritually dead) in trespasses and sins.

Quickening to the new spiritual life happens when God purposes it to happen. I think the timing is different in each person, as it comes, almost unnoticed, as a gentle breeze, you don't know where it came from, or where it goeth (this is explained in John chapter 3)

From Paul's letter to Timothy...

3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all,

Pretty plain...

Saved, according to Greek translation, means delivered. There is a deliverance, here in time, to the born again child of God when they come unto the knowledge of the truth.

All of the scriptures must harmonize before you can understand the truths in the doctrine of Jesus.

How could the timing be different? It's explained exactly when it happens, in the verse you also quoted...
And you (the natural man) hath he quickened,(given life) who were dead (spiritually dead) in trespasses and sins.
It obviously happens when a natural (sinful) man rises from death to his trespasses and sins... we rise from that death as we come out of the waters of baptism.
Saved, according to Greek translation, means delivered. There is a deliverance, here in time, to the born again child of God when they come unto the knowledge of the truth.

All of the scriptures must harmonize before you can understand the truths in the doctrine of Jesus.
I agree with this, of course... and this deliverance is for anyone that chooses to follow Jesus... because scripture tells us that Jesus would have "all" follow him... and he gave up his life as a ransom "for all" .... which pretty much leaves it up to the choice of the individual.

The determining way to look at it is that all of the scriptures must harmonize before the truth is revealed.
You mean like according to ALL Bible study Rules that harmonize All
Scripture, God's Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided (Rule # 2), and then
believe The Truth That Is Revealed?:

(1) “Let ALL things be done Decently and In Order!”
(
1 Corinthians 14:40 KJB!)

(2) Study ALL Scripture Rightly Divided! :

Study to shew thyself Approved unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, Rightly Dividing The Word Of Truth!”
(
2 Timothy 2:15 KJB!)

(3) Never Ever add to, Or take away From, God’s PURE And Holy Word!
{ Including "God's Contexts!,"
[Prophecy] Rightly Divided from [MYSTERY]! }
(
Deuteronomy 4:2, 12:32; Proverbs 30:5-6; Revelation 22:18,19 KJB!)

(4) Be noble students :

These (in Berea) were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in
that they received The Word with all readiness of mind, and
searched The Scriptures daily, Whether Those Things Were So!”
(
Acts 17:11 KJB!)

(5) Build Sound Doctrine, God’s Way! :

(5a) “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept;
line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little!”
(
Isaiah 28:10 KJB!)

(5b) Find ALL Related Scriptures For A Specific doctrine! :

ALL Scripture Is Given By Inspiration Of God, And Is
Profitable For Doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness : that the man of God may
be perfect, throughly furnished unto ALL good works!”
(
2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJB!)

(5c) Compare ALL Related Scriptures to learn and know a
Specific doctrine! :

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s
wisdom teacheth, but Which The Holy Ghost Teacheth;
comparing spiritual things with spiritual!”
(
1 Corinthians 2:13 KJB!)
{Comparing Scripture With Scripture!}

Simplicity” in CHRIST! (2 Corinthians 11:3 KJB!) Amen?

(6) The Best "Interpretive" Commentary On The Bible Is :
The BIBLE Itself!

NEVER ever interpret The Many Plain Scriptures
by the "few" difficult verses, But, ALWAYS Always
Interpret
the few Obscure/Difficult/Dubious verses
By ALL Of The MANY Plain and Clear Passages Of
God’s Pure And Holy Word!
+
ONE Final Excellent Rule for Knowledgeable Bible study! :

(7) In order to Honor The Father And The SON (John 5:22-23 KJB!),
in Preparation For Judgment, Always keep {Uppermost} in mind :

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do,
do ALL to The Glory Of God!” (
1 Corinthians 10:31 KJB!)
-----------------------------------
And then we ALL, who are "Called Into Fellowship With
God's SON, The LORD JESUS CHRIST" (
1 Corinthians 1:9 KJB!), And,

"Endeavouring For The Unity Of God's Spirit In The Bond Of
PEACE!..." (
Ephesians 4:3 KJB!), can obey God's Exhortations! :

...speak...the things which become Sound Doctrine!”
(
Titus 2:1 cp "SAME mind And judgment!" 1 Corinthians 1:10 KJB!)
Amen?

Would the Results of following All of God’s Rules Above Be:

That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in
love, and unto all RICHES of the Full Assurance Of Understanding,
to the acknowledgement of The Mystery Of God, and of the Father,
and of CHRIST!” (
Colossians 2:2 KJB!)?

Amen?

Grace, Peace, And JOY In Christ, And In His Word Of Truth, Rightly
Divided
(+ I and II)!
