The record of false 'prophecies' from EG White is both extensive and alarming, considering the adherents who still follow her, while ignoring the record of error and insisting that she was both accurate and a true 'prophet'.

Adventists, having experienced the false prophecy of William Miller who stated Jesus would return Oct. 22, 1844, (aka The Great Disappointment) retroactively corrected the error of Miller by stating that Miller was over eager in his words and what actually took
place 10/22/1844, was the 'start' of Jesus final 'work', meaning the cleansing in the heavenly sanctuary which would actually lead up to
the 2nd coming.

The backlash after the failed expectations of so many, resulted in angry critcism and even, in some cases, violence from the public. It seems
that many followers had given up their possessions in consideration of the prophecied date of Jesus return and now they were left empty handed both spiritually and physically.

The Millerites had to deal with their own shattered expectations, as well as considerable criticism and even violence from the public. Many followers had given up their possessions in expectation of Christ's return. A Millerite church was burned in NY and 2 others were vandalized
while a mob in Illinois attacked the Millerite congregation with clubs and knive while yet another group, in Toronto, Canada, was tarred and feathered. In some other cases in Canada, Millerites were shot at.

Many Milleries gave up their beliefs but, during this time, as stated above, excues were made, corrections given and several new sects sprang up, apparently unwilling to admit error or the possibility they had been falling both a false teacher and a false prophet in the person of William Miller.

Due to the active and insistent amount of posts made in another thread here regarding the ongoing claims of White's adherents or SDA participants, along with the denials of scripture that indicate error or the skipping over of questions and so on by the same adherents, it seems it would be more helpful to discuss the problems of White's teachings in a different atmosphere where proof of the false prophecies and what scripture actually states, could be discussed. No prejudice intended, but open discussion is needed which cannot be had if certain people take scripture out of context to change the meaning or, just ignore scripture altogether.

Here is one false prophecy of White:

White contends the Sabbath is still in effect and Sunday is not honored by God as day to honor Him

What scripture actually says:

The New Testament clearly shows Christians worshiping together on Sunday, not Saturday and Romans 14 teaches that the individual must be convinced in their own mind of the day they choose to observe.
I find that Ellen White was unqualified. Weekly worship on the Sabbath was implemented by the Pharisees/the Jews after the return from the Babylonian captivity. They replaced worship at the Temple with worship ay the Synagogue. This was in direct violation of what the law said opposite of what God commanded.

I am gonna try and be as brief as possible. So ahead of time here is what I plan to show that the Jews started weekly worship. The Jews worshipped in the Synagogue. It was the Jews who changed the times and if this is truly a sign of the mark of the beast which I don't believe it is. It was the Jews who did so.

Christ attitude of what the Temple was his Fathers House the place that bore the name of God. Concerning the Synagogues they are referred to as their Synagogues, the Synagogues of the Jews. The New Testament clearly shows this distinction.

In violation of the law the Jews made Synagogues places of worship and they also implemented the weekly service. God never set a weekly time to worship. His emphasis was on not time but place. He said we could only worship in the place he picked and that bore his name. He does not live in a house made by mans hands.

So ultimately we can see what God was doing on that day when he said come lets us make man in our image. He made man with his hands which we know we are the Temple that God dwells in and bares his name. In the image of God, Christ said if you have seen me you have seen the Father. The Father is in me and I in him. This is why we were created are a part of it as our creation entails more. However, we were created in his image to be a Temple a place that bares his name and why when two or more gathers he is there. Where we are the name of God is and worship can be done anywhere we are and at any time because we fulfil God's plan of worship in a place he built and he purified.

The Jews when they returned they dismissed the importance of the sacrifices and elevated the Sabbath the day of rest to be the time of worship in any Synagogue they built with their hands.

Here is what God commanded.

Deuteronomy 12:1-11
1These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth. 2Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: 3And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. 4Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God. 5But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come: 6And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks: 7And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.

8Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes. 9For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you. 10But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety; 11Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:

God clearly says one place only and it be his choosing and bear his name. Why and the history of this and how being in Babylon influenced the Jews to do as the pagans did when they returned and violate what God had clearly said.

Of the things that we can learn from Babel is in that world of idolatry and false worship. It was believed that man could build a place that god or gods would come down to. Babel comes from the Akkadian word bab-ilim and means the gate of god or the gate of the gods. In scripture it is changed to the the Hebrew word Babhel which means to confuse. It bears testimony of what God did.

So God when they came into the land made it clear they would not build many places and dictate or demand of him that he show up. He made it clear there is none like him and he the only God so he would build a place and we show up vs we build a place and he show up. He is plainly letting it be known he is God and he commands and dictates period.

Here is what the Jews record that they did upon the return from captivity . Notice their very attitude of the Temple and they call that worship a cult. The very thing God commanded they call it a cult. Then go look at other threads on here and notice how those who claim they keep the law have done the same thing deemphasized the sacrifices and Sabbaths those feasts to elevate the Sabbath the day of rest from work as the day of worship.

"After the return from the Captivity, when the religious life was reorganized, especially under Ezra and his successors, congregational worship, consisting in prayer and the reading of sections from the Bible, developed side by side with the revival of the cult of the Temple at Jerusalem, and thus led to the building of synagogues. The place of meeting was called "bet ha-keneset," since an assembly of the people for worship was termed a "keneset"; the assembly described in Neh. ix.-x. was known in tradition as the "great assembly" ("keneset ha-gedolah"; see Synagoġue, The Great). The synagogue continued to be known by this name, although it was called also, briefly, "keneset" (Aramaic, "kanishta"), and, in Greek, συναγωγή."

God said only one place here is what the Jews record they did.

"According to one legend, there were 394 synagogues at Jerusalem when the city was destroyed by Titus (Ket. 105), while a second tradition gives the number as 480 (Yer. Meg. 73d et al.)."

I think we can see by there own admission that they came back into the land and built Synagogues to worship in why God had to call them out and say you build your houses but mine goes unbuilt. The place God had ordained for the place to worship and his name be that went unbuilt until he brought it to their attention.

The verse we are given by those who worship on Saturday as a mandate from God is Leviticus23:3

Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

The word dwelling is the Hebrew word for house.

c. = house Exodus 12:20 ("" בית Exodus 12:19),, Exodus 35:3; Leviticus 3:17; Leviticus 7:26; Leviticus 13:46; Leviticus 23:3,14,21,31; Numbers 35:29 (all P), Leviticus 23:17 (H).

So God is telling them on their day of rest to read the law in their house. I can agree he told them to place the law in front of their eyes and more. He made no bones that they read the law much so that they would not sin against him. However, God is not commanding this as a day of worship but on their day off to read his word.

Oh my word I still have so much more. I still have not touched on they recording that they made the the Sabbath the day of rest the day to worship.

I will have to get back to this and show that as well as show that when Rome changed the day of weekly worship Sunday they also took over the Synagogues and made them churches. More or less it was the first replacement theology at work to change the day that the Jews unlawfully changed the day of Sabbath to the day of worship. As God never commanded a day of worship other than the feast and reasons to gather at the Temple for worship. So paganism disguised as Christianity decided to change the unlawful to another day of worship to replace the Jews.

We can worship any day because God has clearly shown that he never made a weekly worship his command was on the place not the time and we are the place because we are indwelt by him and we bear his name.

Like I said I will have to finish but do want to show in the New Testament what is written and how God is distinctive to point out prior to Christ death the Temple was his house and the Synagogue belonged to the Jews.

Matthew 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues

Matthew 10:17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

Matthew 12:9 And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:

Matthew 13:54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue,

Matthew 23:5-6 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, 6And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,

Matthew 23:34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city

Luke 4:15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.

Luke 12:11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

Acts 9:1-2 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, 2And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

Acts 13:5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.

Acts 14:1 And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews,

There is more but sure you can see the separation that God is making concerning the Synagogues and whom they belonged to.

In Revelation you also have God using the Synagogue symbolically in a negative light.
Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan
Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Here is what God says about Christ himself under the law to fulfill the law said about the Temple as well as what our Lord himself said about the Temple.

Luke 2:21-22 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb. 22And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;

When Jesus is missing. Luke 2:46-49 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. 47And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. 48And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. 49And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

Luke 21:12-13 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, 13And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Mark 11:15-17 And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; 16And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. 17And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Luke 19:45-47 And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought; 46Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves. 47And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,

Again so much more I will have to make another post to show the Jews were the ones to implement weekly worship and had no regard for the Temple and the sacrifices, what God made his place and holy things of worship.

So Ellen White she was unqualified because as hard as she tried not to be she was a Judaizer as she pushed the very changing of the law and worship that the Jews did as her doctrine.

In closing I have said before I care not what day anyone worships on if your concise dictates as such then do as such. I only will defend my liberty in Christ that as a believer I bear his name and I am free to worship him as I am indwelt and his Temple. As far as a day i find for me God says seek and you will find knock and it will be open. God will meet me and give me as much as I want of him to change my life. This is what I believe and what I will defend.

Great points. It's crazy that some people think God makes mistakes sometimes.

They think when the Bible talks about Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 where it talks about God's creation was without form and void that He had made it without form and void and then had to fix it.

No, it was perfect, then after satan and his nutjob demons were cast out of Heaven, then God's creation became without form and void. Old lucifer (before he committed high treason and tried to over throw God) was the very highest angel and had been given authority by God over all that God had created so when he fell it caused God's creation to become without form and void.

That's the only logical explanation unless one wants to claim God messed up on His first try at creating creation and had to take another swing which is the claim that God is not perfect and makes mistakes sometimes
It is sad how people think...

Gen 1:1-2
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

I look at it like a big void nothingness

God's power is so big we can't comprehend it.

There was nothing and God moved into the space (which didn't even exist) and created all the elements for physical life.
He created space, light, sound, matter, each day was different.

And after 6 days God had finished what was very good.

God didn't create anything bad or wrong.

He move into a place that had nothing and created things.

He even created the sun moon and stars on the 4th day
Wow the stars, there are so many stars just in the galaxy we are in. ...

Gen 1:14-17
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

He will never comprehend God's power.

Those trusting in AI are being primed for deception.

Prepare to be blinded troll!

Warnings about AI is for the people reading that actually want to walk with the Lord in Spirit and Truth.
If your faith is so fragile that a chatbot can prime you for deception, the problem isn't the AI, it’s your foundation.

Are you actually walking with the Lord, or are you just hiding behind conspiracy theories because they make you feel special? True discernment doesn't hide in a shell, it faces the world. Why are you so afraid of a tool? Does the Spirit not have enough power to handle a search engine, or are you just a digital hypocrite using the tech you claim is blinding everyone else?

No? Then explain how it happened? You are basically saying, what is written in the Bible, isn't what happend.
Your underlying assumption is wrong. All belief based on that assumption is misguided.

Your underlying assumption is wrong. All belief based on that assumption is misguided.

How so?

And for the record, you once again dodged like 3 question from 3 posts. I would say, skeptics make assumptions, and dodge most of any follow up questions. Skeptics are classic examples of assumption making. Disagree?

Gen 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Very good.

Does God make anything imperfect?
Does God make anything bad?

Was God's creation faulty in any way?
No

It was perfect before sin.
That is not what God Himself said. I’ll go with His words, not yours.

I'm gonna start doing skeptic like accusations, that are totally unfounded. And totally skip out on any basis of proof, but continue with their slander. This is only trying to show, how SDA skeptics come across.

And here is my first unfounded accusation....

Skeptics are hired by the Vatican. Most are Jesuits

With that line of logic, a person could conclude that God did make a mistake in the garden or He would have kept those 2 trees to Himself.

God said His creation was good. He did not say perfect.

With that line of logic, a person could conclude that God did make a mistake in the garden or He would have kept those 2 trees to Himself.

God said His creation was good. He did not say perfect.

He created man in His Own Image so man has free will, and God knows the end from the beginning so He knew in advance that man would choose to be in error which is why Jesus was slain before the foundation of the world.

It's man that was in error, not God.

In the end God will have a legal precedent in place that will cause any and all future rebellion to result in that entity engaging in such to be immediately translated in to hell being removed from God's Kingdom instantly.

So in the ages to come there will be no further possibility for an angel or a man who tries to rebel to be a problem at all.

So yes, God's creation was and is perfect, it's man that got in to error.

If what God created was not perfect then that is claiming God is not perfect which is saying God is in error and is not all powerful and all knowing.

Those claiming such are creating division between themselves and the Father and they don't even know it because they are listening to the devil having opened the door for the enemy to bring in demonic thought. Very sad for these people as this ends badly.

I totally get it. It's totally not a make or break issue, that some have posted on. I think I was trying to understand the criticism of it, rather than what investigative judgement is. This is non-issue. I think the only questionable thing is the date, but this isn't an issue for me.

Obviously God is the judge. How is HE gonna judge us, if their is no judgement?!?! This is such a non-issue. People are just tripping. I get it now, people just hate the SDA church. I'm not gonna listen to nay-sayers anymore, than can hate all day long, don't care.

Very arrogant assumptions on your part. Also a very obvious lack of biblical accuracy. You express opinions by attempting to cancel out other people and for some reason, you seem to think no one notices that. The burden of proof is with the people who have taken the liberty to add to scripture and dismiss parts that do not agree with their doctrine. The sad lack of discernment expressed by the subjective views of far too many, is testimony to ignorance and a healthy dose of a desire to somehow prove God to themselves even if it means accepting the bizarre testimony of unhealthy minds.

I tell you what, Ellen White's writings are no joke. That stuff is heavy! Another issue, that really is a non-issue. I mean people should be freak'n out about the Catholic church, because it is rotten to the core, and people want to rip on SDA church. So silly!

So you have nothing but distain for Catholics but have accepted enough SDA doctrine here (assuming you are not actually SDA yourself cause I have no reason to think otherwise) to speak on their behalf. You most likely have deep thoughts on all denominations that run along the lines of your appreciation for Catholics.
I think I get it know. People get hung up on this and create fairy tales in their head, on why it's not Biblical. We are like God's pets in a sense, HE is watching over us, and loving us. If HIS people run away and don't want anything to do with HIM, than that is of course noted in some sort of way.

If there ever was some skepticism, it would of course be the date, but it will be pretty hard to prove it wrong in the grand scheme of things. I totally get it. This thread is just a bully thread and skeptics just want to poke fun of SDA. That is a shame.

If that is the case, and certainly does by the posts in here, wow, just wow!

So scripture is become a fairy tale to you while SDA docrine is 'deep'.

I agreed with one thing you said. One thing. I find you alarmingly ignorant and rude without much possibility of learning unless you step aside from yourself. God did not say His creation was perfect. I would ask you to point that out in scripture but since it is not there, you will search in vain.

You do not know what you are talking about and have managed to twist scripture into YOUR conception of God which really and truly does God a very grave injustice.

Those claiming such are creating division between themselves and the Father and they don't even know it because they are listening to the devil having opened the door for the enemy to bring in demonic thought. Very sad for these people as this ends badly.

You sound like a grade 5 kid sitting at the back of the classroom and only paying attention to half of what is being taught with the result you filter it through your own bias. The whole time, you just want recess and wonder what mom packed for you to snack on.
